DS1, and DS2 deserve, and need a remake for sure. A remake could give ds1 a chance to fix up on the second half of the game, the visuals, and implement omni directional rolling. Well a ds2 remake could fix up the combat, enemy placements, and some of the bosses. I don't think ds2's combat needs to be changed too much though, I personally really enjoed ds2 pvp and it prolly has my favorite pvp in the series, but it could use some changes. The levels are dogshit, the bosses are worse, and generally I, and many others in the playerbase rate DS1 lower than the other games because of this. It's all good saying that Miyazaki apologised for creating the bed of chaos and explained that the second-half was rushed, but now, at least from me, there is definitely an expectation for improvement, for Miyazaki to act on his words. If DS1 was remade and bosses such as BoC or ceaseless discharge or asylum demon but with fall damage/fire aftereffects remained the same for the sake of being "faithful" to the original, I'd say that the remake has failed. Dark Souls 2. The graphical and gameplay uplift is always welcomed. But DS2 ambition failed to live up to the promise. There was a ton that was cut out/down. This game deserves to bring back those original ideas as it was intended.
Pretty much agree with the majority of the sentiments. Dark Souls 1 would appreciate the graphical upgrade and a chance to harshly redesign the latter half to make it feel more on par with the rest of the game and make it not be such a disappointment on every level. Also some enemy balancing like buffing Pinwheel, nerf Bonewheel scheletons to their dark souls 3 variant, fixing some hitboxes and give some more moves to like Moonlight Butterfly for examples. Combat should be improved somewhat but remain tied to the original's core, but if you want to make any solid improvements to Bed of Chaos whithout redesigning it completely you need the Elden Ring jump botton, everything else would not save it from being the worst fight. Probably the most deserved remake. Dark Souls 2 needs it a lot as well but for somewhat different reasons. First off the combat should be completely changed. Being forced into becoming an adaptability merchant to play the game is objectively a bad design choice and many areas that are overly harsh would feel much more reasonable to experience whithout the clunky moveset. The Dark Souls 3 style is the closest comparison to what's needed here, like you said. A lot of bosses would still feel underwhelming by nature of their design (rats, giants and congregation especially) , but some like the dragons, Flexible Sentry and the early game knight bosses have clear room for improvements. The level design is strong enough as a base, but some tweaks to the logistics would be appreciated, we all know the elevator to a volcano and the burning windmill feel very disjointed. Bloodborne hasn't aged yet like the previous two but a remake would clearly help it improve nonetheless. The 30 fps and PlayStation exclusive jails are way too constrictive nowadays. Chalice Dungeons are such a hole of lost potential that if they were removed to add a couple new true areas for the crumbs of worthwhile content that was in them to fit it in them it would help the game feeling too small whithout playing them whithout actually playing them in the sorry state their in right now. Some scaling too can be helped, Moon Presence and Wetnurse need buffs and Paarl needs to be changed so he's not as hard to meet him early and so easy when you actually get to him proper. The atmosphere and combat tho needs to be kept as it is, that definitely needs to be the priority when tackling this game's remake. Overall I'll say Dark Souls 1 deserves it the most. The nosedive after O&S is way too big of a flaw to be never addressed.
I beat DS2 and all the DLCs without levelling ADP in my first playthrough, yes, ADP helps like every other stat but it isn't nearly as insufferable as people make it seem. You don't even need to roll that much. The movement isn't that bad too, DS1 is way more limited and I don't hear it being mentioned in most critics, DS2 combat has the best learning curve out of the 3 and it's one of my favorites. It's simply taste. The only parts I despise in DS2 are Frigid Outskirts, Iron King's Memory and Blue Smelter Demon area. But annoying areas are present in every game, Elden Ring Frenzied Lake, Blighttown, Seath runback, Bed of Chaos runback, Ancient Wyvern area DS3 as whole. And many others.
i never understood how BB is constantly getting asked for a remake/ remaster and DS3 not? Sure 30fps, a few shit hit boxes and some quality of life changes but it holds up just aswell as ds3. Like both are on the same engine so anything you say that defends BB getting a remaster can be applied to the other.😅 But either way whether we get one or the other first we’ll eveantually get both remastered so im fine.😁 Edit: also unless FS will have some hands on involvement in any of these remakes I won’t feel to happy about it since when bluepoint made the DS remake they changed things that kinda ruined what made the games story/ enemy design interesting or important.
Dark Souls 1 is the only game which truly needs a remake. It's using the exact same Demon's Souls engine and the last half is unfinished. DS2 already had SotFS which made the original a completely different game and Bloodborne really just needs a 60fps patch. Since Sony doesn't care for BB, asking for a remake is moot and the game will be playable through emulation before we know it... with better aliasing and upscaling to boot. Dark Souls 3 still looks (and plays) great.
I still sometimes wonder what people mean by ds2 is ‘slower’ than its predecessor since most of the attack animations of the player and enemies are faster ds2 than ds1 and running and walking is basically at the same speed.
For me, I can see the good things in ds2, but it's so bloated with things that make me feel miserable while playing it, that I just cannot enjoy it. They'd have to change quite a lot if they want me to play that all over again.
The biased part of me says Bloodborne cause I’ll take anything to get more Bloodborne content But the objective part says DS2. It’s got the most problems and was a severe victim of time constraints. Needs the most polish and reworking of most if not all bosses
Why wouldn't we dream about it? Demon Souls is the first one to have a remake and it has the lowest sales out of all soulsborne games, so why do you think like that?
If you change the combat in ds2 you need to change every enemy and boss, they are balanced around your clunky movement and if that's gone it will be much easier, especially the bosses which are already too easy. Not to say it has to be hard because "dark souls hard game" but it does need some challenge to be there
Demons souls got a remake, dark souls 1 got a remaster but a remake would be nice, dalrk souls 2 needs a reimagining and dark souls 3 is still fine. There are no other souls game.
DS1 no question. Give me a full demons souls style remake and finish the later areas according to the original vision. DS2 already had its second chance with sotfs, Bloodborne is already amazing and the rest is too new.
DS2 haters legit have skill issue and don't have the kudos to admit it. They force themselves to believe all hitboxes suck just to feel better about their skill issue.
Dark Souls definitely deserve it. Bloodborne does not really need a remake, it only needs a remaster/PC port since it's already perfect as it is. Dark Souls, despite being a classic - suffers a lot in late game because of some unfinished or borderline very janky boss designs. I don't need to talk about Lost Izalith for everyone to know but other bosses such as Seath and Nito are pretty underwhelming despite being one of the Lord Souls.
DS3 was the only one that did lord bosses justice, in DS2 we have random shit like Lost Sinner and The Rotten (Nito with Flesh), lorewise they are always interesting but gameplaywise they suck. DS3 did the lord bosses justice by making them a spectacle in every way. If they remake the DS2 lords giving them graphical updates and extra moves it would be goated too. But agree with your points.
Disagree about your take on overhauling the combat of DS2 and speeding it up. I like DS2 because it is slow and methodical. If i want fast paced boss rushes, I'll play Elden Ring. You can make classy bosses using the current combat system a la Fume Knight, Sir Alonne, Darklurker, Smelter Demon, Aava and so on. A lot of the bosses in DS2 have complete movesets, but they don't use them that often due to lack of sophisticated AI. If they do that, and maybe slightly improve the speed of the bosses, it would be great! And add in better animations and new moves too
It's unusual that i see a video that i disagree SO SO SO MUCH. DS2 is completely unique. It puts high emphasis on: Slow strategic combat Stamina management Positioning Not reliance on R1s Heavy RPG elements. Timing Not running past enemies Almost perfect balance in PvE and PvP by comparison to the other Souls games. Applying these changes will make the game just like the rest and will lose its uniqueness. I consider the game's combat to be less "fun " compared to the other more spammy and fast paced games, but there lies what makes it special. Also there is the reason that 10 years later that game has BY FAR the best, most coherent and most balanced PvP. The hit detection is just fine, if you bother to aim MANUALLY. It just does not auto target after a roll. I wouldn't be against a remake if they preserved the game's core values, but i am sure they wouldn't so i hope it doesn't happen.
I feel from allowed the demons soul remake because it was the first (and standalone) and rough around the edges. I don't think they will remake any of the dark souls series because that's their crown jewel. A perfect remake would show the flaws of each entry even more. Edit: dark souls 4.... that I can get on board with 🎉
DS2 had its chance with sotfs, and it failed to get more people to enjoy it. Easily the most hated among any souls game. Id say BB deserves the remaster/remake. DS3 is already in a good place and perfect as is so lets leave it be as well. Although I could see a DS2 done by miyazaki and a whole map redesign along aith all ghe other jank systems that they screwed up originally. Less ganks, no ADP, properly balanced hit boxes, more weapon durability, the works. You could even move the map around to make it make more sense, it'd be 1 million times better then the slop that we were given.
Yeah I didn't mention this in the comment that I posted, but the world/level design of ds2 is utterly abysmal. I'd actually really love to see a remake of DS2 that rectifies this, alongside the bosses and horrible ideas such as ADP
Don’t kill me but I think Bloodborne should stay at 30fps. I know I sound like a lunatic but here me out, I think the 30fps makes the game better it makes the game feel more frantic and chaotic because of the low fps wich I think is better.
Remake Elden ring but with new weapons, and new characters, and new enemies, and a new map, and a new story. Stop with the remakes and make original games
Its ds1 with Miyazaki original vision for the final areas. Im sorry you ds2 stans need to understand that remakes are for games that made an impact and will sell. A game with the horrible reputation like ds2 would never get a remake.
Hot Take: DS3 lowkey needed a remake, how was the game released in 2016 but you don’t have cloud saves? That makes no sense. Also PC control prompts for the keyboard and mouse users, if you are going to make a PC game do it right. Maybe they could also tweak some PVP and online things as well like with DS1.
You could argue bloodborne and DS2 need it more but bloodborne can just be emulated in 2025 and DS2 can be forgotten and lost to time, that would be a good thing. Unless they change they combat and movement all together.
Your criteria for a remake is rather shallow, besides, DS2 needs to be forgotten by time? Those DS2 haters are unbelievable.... You need to know what is a game remake by definition before saying anything, at most those issues ask for a remaster, and DS2 for sure is the one most deserving of a remake besides Dark Souls 1.
@@soulslikebeastt2024 I didn’t say it needs to be forgotten I said it can be, because I don’t care for it’s existence. Remasters and remakes are phrases that don’t have much of a difference these days, they pretty much both mean the same thing because companies don’t have a unified definition, so idk what you are yapping about. No game deserves a remaster more than another, normally if a game is remastered it’s because it has sold millions of copies and has a strong and active community. DS2 community is for sure the weakest in terms of active players and community reception so in the eyes of sales people it’s probably the least likely to get a remaster/remake, and understandably so because it’s not a good game 👍
The is no need to remake DS1 it is fine the way it is and Bloodborne just needs to come to pc I would want a DS2 remake because it would go from the least liked from soft game to at the very least to an ok game
SotFS is more similar to a remaster than a Remake. A Remake is a new game made from Scratch intended to resemble another older game. RE-MAKE is remade over again as if It was a new entry.

Like both are on the same engine so anything you say that defends BB getting a remaster can be applied to the other.😅
But either way whether we get one or the other first we’ll eveantually get both remastered so im fine.😁
Edit: also unless FS will have some hands on involvement in any of these remakes I won’t feel to happy about it since when bluepoint made the DS remake they changed things that kinda ruined what made the games story/ enemy design interesting or important.
Don’t worry, certain boss will be return and remade in Elden ring nightreign
If DS2 got a remake, it’d go from D tier to S tier
Ds2 deserves a remake
Bloodborne deserves a sequel
DARK SOULS 1 NEEDS A REMAKE!
Nope
If they remade ds1 not just made the graphics better like demons souls but like fixed the bad bosses, it would be the best souls game.
DS1 would be amazing if redone properly.
I hope bluepoint doesnt touch dark souls after the shit they did to Demons Souls
I still sometimes wonder what people mean by ds2 is ‘slower’ than its predecessor since most of the attack animations of the player and enemies are faster ds2 than ds1 and running and walking is basically at the same speed.
Maybe y’all mean the healing speed or the rolling speed?
DARK SOULS 1 needs a remake like demon souls
I want new intellectual property from from software... those old games are already good don't want to play dark souls/Bloodborne forever.
For me, I can see the good things in ds2, but it's so bloated with things that make me feel miserable while playing it, that I just cannot enjoy it. They'd have to change quite a lot if they want me to play that all over again.
Bloodeborn just needs to be ported to all consoles and pc
Ds2 needs the remake the most, then ds1. Ds2 needs a reimagining honestley and a redesign in some areas but still is a great game
Ds2 needs it the most but ds1 deserves it the most
The biased part of me says Bloodborne cause I’ll take anything to get more Bloodborne content
But the objective part says DS2. It’s got the most problems and was a severe victim of time constraints. Needs the most polish and reworking of most if not all bosses
The answer is simple: Bloodborne
Anyone thinking DS2 will EVER get any kind of remake or remaster is delusional. Dark Souls 1 fully remade would be magical
Why wouldn't we dream about it? Demon Souls is the first one to have a remake and it has the lowest sales out of all soulsborne games, so why do you think like that?
Bloodborne is the only correct answer.
All Bloodborne needs is L3 jump
If you change the combat in ds2 you need to change every enemy and boss, they are balanced around your clunky movement and if that's gone it will be much easier, especially the bosses which are already too easy. Not to say it has to be hard because "dark souls hard game" but it does need some challenge to be there
dark souls games aren't even that hard
If anyone has watched Illusory Wall's video on The Gutter than they know the right answer.
Demons souls got a remake, dark souls 1 got a remaster but a remake would be nice, dalrk souls 2 needs a reimagining and dark souls 3 is still fine. There are no other souls game.
DS1/DS2= remake
Bloodborne= Remaster
ds3 so good it doesn't need one
DS1 no question. Give me a full demons souls style remake and finish the later areas according to the original vision.
DS2 already had its second chance with sotfs, Bloodborne is already amazing and the rest is too new.
None of them….. like seriously, this remake/remaster bs is getting out of hand…. If anything, Kings Field should be remade…
ds2 needs a reimagining
I understand what the DS2 haters are saying. They want DS2, but easier. I also understand what the DS3 critics are saying. They want DS3, but harder.
DS2 haters legit have skill issue and don't have the kudos to admit it. They force themselves to believe all hitboxes suck just to feel better about their skill issue.
Dark Souls 1. I fucking hate the Remastered
And add in better animations and new moves too
I think bloodborne needs a remaster, not a remake.
It's unusual that i see a video that i disagree SO SO SO MUCH. DS2 is completely unique. It puts high emphasis on:
Slow strategic combat
Stamina management
Positioning
Not reliance on R1s
Heavy RPG elements.
Timing
Not running past enemies
Almost perfect balance in PvE and PvP by comparison to the other Souls games.
Edit: dark souls 4.... that I can get on board with 🎉
I loved that analysis honestly, but still, who knows right?
5:15 LOL
I want bloodborne a proper remaster like 4K 60fps high res texturs maybe new content like new weapons ans new sets
Your video could be 12 hrs long or 10 seconds. BLOODBORNE.
Its ds1 with Miyazaki original vision for the final areas. Im sorry you ds2 stans need to understand that remakes are for games that made an impact and will sell. A game with the horrible reputation like ds2 would never get a remake.
Dark souls 1+2 because they look horrible. Bloodborne needs a 60 fps patch. It looks good enough.
Why are there so many Ds2 simps in the comments?
Or am I misinterpreting and ppl just want a game thats worthy of the title Dark Souls 2.
Bloodborne.
Elden ring remake
I play souls on PC and there's no problem with playing it with a mouse and keyboard. I originally tried with a controller but this is just fine too.
@@beast33G yeah it’s fine as it is rn, but having button prompts is just better. Also a kb+m user
DARK SOULS 2
Ds 2 remake ?!
DS1 and DS2!
Why the hell everyone wants remakes it's boring why not a new game 😂😂😂😂😂
DS2 for sure
Light souls 2 is mid end of discussion
U r mid and didnt play/ finish the game at all. End of discussion
@@whowho5837 I liked ds2 and beat it twice but adaptability and the enemy placement does hurt it a lot tbh
@whowho5837 i finished it and it was the most mid thing I've played
Just Bloodborne, the rest sucked.
After waiting for bb to come to pc all these years and finally playing it on a ps5 i gotta say its overrated af
4:23 no
Out of any sous game, it needs a remake the most.
Ds2
I pleasure myself when you post online buddy! Excellent video mate!

What?
“Only 1 remake has been made for the soulsborne games”
Dark souls 2: 🫣
SotFS is more similar to a remaster than a Remake. A Remake is a new game made from Scratch intended to resemble another older game.
RE-MAKE is remade over again as if It was a new entry.
@ idk, I’ve never played DS2, and from the sounds of it, don’t plan on it either 💀 once I get bored of ER and finish DS maybe I’ll play DS3
@@Zippien.m Dark souls 2 is just a slower paced dark souls, apart from adaptability, the game is fine.
@@Zippien.m they will say the game is good, they will say it has the best hub world (lowkey it’s true in terms of music), they will say it’s better than DS1 or 3, “it’s a good game it’s just not a good souls game”, but bro the combat and movement are trashhhh, stay away from ds2, I fell victim to the trap, please learn from my mistakes.
@@Zippien.mHonestly, if you trust any biased source, I really don't recommend you to play it, every single player that is prey to that mentality will hunt and pay extreme attention to bugs and small mistakes in the game to justify their bias. DS2 doesn't need another hater. (DS1 has the same if not worse mistakes.)
Ds3
