    If you click C you can make your brush transparent, I use this instead of a rubber tool because transparent brushes are good for raster, then I can use the rubber (alr on vector) to remove vector lines

    Very informative, although you didn't mention that some of these features like the LT convert, and advanced comic tools like having multiple pages in one comic document, are only available on the EX version of clip studio paint.

    Clip Studio is such a great tool. It is insanely customizable and has so many features, with new ones steadily being added and despite all of that it is affordable. You didn't mention the quick access palette I think, which in essence you can convert to a small control panel for everything you want to do with the program. Especially with autoactions which are magic by themselves (I use them for example to toggle the visibility of reference layers by shortcut or create perspective rulers)

  • @OnzzyDayo
    @OnzzyDayo 2 ปีที่แล้ว +14

    I don't think anyone mentioned it on the comments or at least I didn't see it on the time I scrolled down but, while using the mesh transform tool, you can increase/decrease the number of points you can play with under the settings of the tool after you've gone into mesh transform mode. This was so useful to know back in the day when CSP didn't have liquify yet :)

    Don't be afraid to make very simple auto actions! I have a ton setup for simple things like setting up shading and highlight layers or just applying a few simple effects! They are very handy to make things a lot quicker. Even though most of them would only take a few seconds or a minute at most having them be 1 click and no other input is very handy!!!

    knew only a few as I have been using Clip for about half a year now, but for me one of the best things is amazing selection tool, outline selection (found under edit, saved me so much time while making some designs), lock transparent pixels, also using reference layer + clip to layer below,
    but yours are definitely adding to my library of tricks.

    I just recently got a drawing tablet and started using clip studio with it. This is my first time really getting serious with digital art so there’s a lot I don’t know (I actually used clip studio when I made my pfp, and it definitely would’ve been easier with some of these tips lol). This video really helps, and I appreciate that you separated all of the tips into separate chapters so they’re easier to go back and check in the future

    If you guys missing some features in the program, shown in this video, you most liekly have an outdated version of CSP.
    So just download the newest version.
    3:57 --- Oh trust me, it DOES AFFECT IT, the longer u draw the longer the "video" will be thus making the file size hiting Gigabytes sizes. Oh and it does affect how much time u take to save the file too.

    SQUEEEE! I just realized! The song you're using at 5:05 is a piano rendition of "Mysterious Journey," from the Castle of Cagliostro soundtrack. That is a really deep cut for a background track. I've never heard this version before. (listens a little longer) Ohhhh, so it's a whole medly of Lupin piano music. Gotcha.

    I think the only thing i have to add is that as well as being able to colour pick from the current layer, there are many other settings available for the colour picker tool that let you:
    - Exclude layers if they match certain critera. The options are exclude draft layers, exclude text layers, exclude the paper layer, and exclude locked layers. The latter is especially helpful-if you don't want to colour pick from your effects layers, you can lock them all and they'll no longer be considered by the colour picker, allowing you to pick the true colour underneath.
    - Adjust its point of reference. The default is picking from the entire image, the tool preset you showed is picking from the current layer, but there is another third option to pick from only the top-most layer.
    - There's also an average colour option, which allows you to increase the radius of the colour picker and pick an average colour from everything within that radius. Helpful if youre colour picking from a reference that has a lot of texture applied or jpeg artifacts.

    I don't know how to feel about this (!), but with the exception of your very first one, I actually *_knew_* all these tips! I'm either as smart as you, or maybe just weird. ;) The one *_GIGANTIC_* tip, which is actually the gateway to many other tips, is the use of Vector Layers. Now you did mention that tip in relation to creating precise lines and shapes, but that is the proverbial tip of the iceberg, especially if your interest lies in inking.
    I always take considerable advantage of the "erase past intersections" feature. (My entire approach to inking _depends_ on it.) Also, using Vector Layers opens up a whole *_bunch_* of other tools, most of which are ganged under the "corrections" palette, again of particular use in drawing. In addition, there are various shape drawing tools which, if selected and manipulated with the Object tool, can be skewed, resized, rotated, duplicated, and generally transformed while on the same layer with other art in ways that are not possible with raster objects.
