I rarely comment on your videos but I hope this comment 1) it helps with the TH-cam algorithm because I think your videos are always food for thought u definetly deserve more followers and 2) as a recovering perfectionist I have always loved your outro the media sells us the idea to be the best version of ourselves but sometimes life is hard and so being the most effective version of yourself is the only thing you can do. ❤ kind regards from Nicaragua
This is a pretty useful exercise, in that we get to answer the question: 'How often should i go through my stuff and ask how useful it still is to me?'
Seasonal evaluation of clothing, shoes and makeup works for me. I review what works and let go of what doesn’t work although I have a holding space for those items that are hard to release - sometimes I’m slow to warm up to something 🆕. 😎🤩🥳
I appreciate you always reminding us of your different relationship with stuff than a normal consumer, it really helps me not want to go out and buy more stuff 💕
Oh yes... as a full time worker and the mom of a one year old the days of doing my makeup sitting at my vanity and looking at all the pretty things are long gone. I keep a tiny makeup bag in my diaper bag at all times to do a simple makeup on the go and I keep another one by my work desk to look less dead for zoom meetings. The vanity is just a shop my stash playground.
I don’t know what I love more: a) your thoughtfulness and word choice (always); b) your prioritizing getting out the vote over subscribers; or c) THOSE NAILS. A trivial beside-the-point, yet mesmerizing.
I love how real you are! And the disclaimer at the beginning is so important. I really appreciate you for saying that this is a makeup reviewers collection, not that of a "normal" person. Makes it so relaxing to watch and real. Thanks Hannah! I love your content ✨ Stay you!
Would thoroughly appreciate a really in depth ‘EVERY DAY MAKE UP’ video, talking through every item, how and when you apply, how it makes you feel, the wear (so maybe including an end-of-day check in). ❤ *also, how you do your nails, finding/making the time with a baby 😅
I feel like there’s not a *non* weird way of navigating a one sided parasocial relarionship, so sorry if this sounds super weird, but I was rewatching one of your quarantine videos just before this and it made me think of Julia and Ollie and their kid, and it makes me smile to think that someday both your kids will get to meet and be friends. 🥹 I hope they’re doing well back in L.A.!
@@HannahLouisePostonI have also been thinking about Julia and Ollie and it’s lovely to get this news. They were such a part of this channel too - old friends and it would be great to see Julia on the channel again next time she is in town.
I'm doing a full Marie Kondo, decluttering 60-80% of my stuff (not just makeup) project this week, so this was a vibe (sidenoting if anyone is interested in checking out a whole bunch of unused items on Poshmark in a week...)
It's always a pleasure to see your hands move on this black background. I always feel like I'm meeting my old friend for a "let's talk about makeup!" session. ♥ I send you all my tenderness from Belgium.
Literally screamed and did a happy dance when I saw this. Idk why but an organization vid on this full moon aftermath Monday is SO the vibe. HANNAH U ROCK !! 🤘🥳🥳
Are you going to try the phytosurgence balms in your quest? They look so lovely and your reviews are so thorough, I would love to see a video with them included!
You have the most relaxing voice. You must have the most calm babies, because I can't imagine anyone fussing if you're speaking. The little poem that you said over the Lancome mascara was a cute silly moment even, but it still scratches a part of my brain that just sends a gentle hush over me. You should do the audiobook narration for Julia Hungry, I'd buy the heck out of that!
I first found your channel years ago through a single shadow video (maybe about depoting them?) and seeing your single shadows collection made me smile and be grateful for you. Love your musings and the way you encourage us toward awareness of what’s going on inside our hearts as we interact with makeup and fashion.
I'm so glad I had tagged this video for my watch later list! I haven't felt like buying new make up in the past months but the urge seems to be showing up again. This is helping to "scratch the itch". ❤ And those nails!!! 😍 They make your hands look so sophisticated, I love it! 😮❤
Ahh made it back to enjoy your beautifully thoughtful content ❤ I need to go through my collection and do the same kind of culling. I have a far smaller collection than you do, but I have some old old products that I just don't ever use or want to use. Time flies so fast and I realistically have very few opportunities to wear makeup the way I did before, similar to your lack of need for "tango makeup" When I do approach my collection, I'm gravitating toward one palette that I put together about a year ago now when I needed to travel, inspired by you, from singles. I don't even reach for the other shadows in my collection. Eyeshadows are my weakness. I would like to see you do a bit of makeup play time, especially with some of those palettes we haven't seen in a while or playing with new trends in makeup, whatever that may be at the time. The way you describe products and how they feel and perform, the depth that you go to and the detail are what made me hit the Subscribe button from the beginning ❤ I hope your family continues to stay healthy and happy, Hannah. I love your content! Edit to add: Your description box is top notch. Thank you!
Thanks for another great video. There are so many great products out there, and watching your videos has helped me narrow down which products I'm willing to try. Nothing worse than spending money and time messing with things that just never were going to do what I wanted in the first place. I feel like I'm getting a really useful education on how the products work and what to expect with wear.
I’m obsessed with your lip balm series as a fellow lip balm fan. I’d love to hear your opinions about the Rhode lip treatment (and blush) because they don’t ship to my country and buying from a intermediary is a little investment. Also if you’re still looking for recommendations for a tinted balm I recently got Clinique’s fuller fig chubby stick and is absolutely lovely. My sister swears by black honey, but that one is a hair too purple for my undertone. It can be built up but with a light hand is really sheer and a my-lips-but-better shade.
Oh, the way my heart dropped in that quick moment in which you decluttered so many gorgeous blushes in one fell swoop right at the beginning! The decisiveness! The certainty! The milani! I reel. And I kid you not, I went and watched the blush video first in order to understand! 😂
My extremely edited eyeshadow collection after having my son is 7 eyeshadows and I really only use one, if at all 😆 It's funny how different seasons of life change your perspective so much. I love your collection ❤
I am not sure if I have ever realized how beautiful the word "tampon" can be until you said it. It was...so...beautiful. LOL. I am not sure why- but by golly....
Hannah, have you tried the jones road balms or the new phytosurgence balms for your balm showdown? Both look similar to whqt you're looking for so I would be curious to see how true they are to the descriptions!
A fun look into your ever-changing collection! (I started using toilet paper as kleenex and tear wipers when I moved back to CA from NY- I somehow acquired seasonal allergies! Not embarrassing at all to have a few "tissues" in every pocket of every pants and inside every purse lol). Hope your place feeling more and more like home !
Are the rhode lip treatments you have gritty? I got the clear salted caramel and it has little gritty bits in it. It looks beautiful and smells incredible, but it is gritty af. It also tastes like perfume, which I am not a fan of.
I am in preparation to move in the next two weeks and all my possessions are being audited. I consider myself a moderate minimalist, and yet, there are so much stuff that are not used for years. I need to get rid of that now while I am in smaller space because once I move to the apartment that is double in size I will not be able to see how much stuff I have.
The lawless gloss looks beautiful but my god did it mess up my skin around my mouth. It took a long time to develop so I didn’t even realize it was that product causing the problem until months and months of use but if you have sensitive skin, proceed with caution. It took months for my skin around my mouth to get back to normal.
This was so much fun to watch. Question since your tastes have become so minimal do you think you could ever reduce your entire makeup collection to just 2 bags. Or does your job make that impossible?
If you haven’t seen, Clarins Lip Oil Balm in Almond feel like it may meet your requirement for inclusion in the grand finale. Low pigment, not plumping but nourishing, and cool toned.
I'm here for the makeup, but I stay for your word choice.
2nd the motion
Same 😊

This is a pretty useful exercise, in that we get to answer the question: 'How often should i go through my stuff and ask how useful it still is to me?'
The answer is apparently 'Pretty darn often'

Not Hannah breaking out into poetry mid-video 😍
This was such a wonderful way to start my week!!
A brand new HLP make up declutter/organise? Overhead? Over 30 minutes??
Never clicked faster in my life ❤
I appreciate you always reminding us of your different relationship with stuff than a normal consumer, it really helps me not want to go out and buy more stuff 💕

It really isn't a matter of time, its a matter of change. I love that concept!

I missed the overhead style video 😊
I am hoping this reset indicates a renaissance of beauty content
I just opened TH-cam hoping for a HLP video to calm me/watch and relax as I fold washing ❤
🥹 I hope they’re doing well back in L.A.!
they have already met! It was hilarious!
@@HannahLouisePostonI have also been thinking about Julia and Ollie and it’s lovely to get this news. They were such a part of this channel too - old friends and it would be great to see Julia on the channel again next time she is in town.
We love a HLP organization/declutter video!!! 🎉
What a beautiful video! It is extremely satisfying to watch such a curated stack of makeup ❤

Gasp 😦 your hands framing those Merit matte lipsticks is, like, wall-art frame worthy
Happy Monday to all! 💘
A Hannah video on a Monday! My heart! A long video too. 😍😍😍
Thank you for your always lovely presence on the Tube. 🌸🌼
I just love all the clickity clackity sounds

40 whole ass minutes of sorting?!?! There is a God! 😂
Very impatiently anticipating hearing your thoughts on the Phytosurgence lip balm in a future video 👀
Commenting for the algorithms, coming back to watch
Your declutter and organization videos are always so satisfying!
THE HANDS HAVE RETURNED 🎉
Everytime I see a new Hannah video is available I get so excited! Thank you for the always thoughtful and thought-provoking content! ❤❤❤

My favorite kind of videos, so relaxing ❤❤❤
Random poetry break for the win!
re: very sharp tweezers, it can be a very useful tool around the house - I have not so sharp ones in a toolcup in the kitchen)
Are you going to try the phytosurgence balms in your quest? They look so lovely and your reviews are so thorough, I would love to see a video with them included!
I think she did a review of them a long while back!
@@TheStitchWitchPodcast Oh, not the blush balms! The lip balms they just released.

I'm interested in the crown affair gel... I usually use Jones Road Miracle Balm to slick back my hair and it gets the job done + smells nice
So fun to see an old fashioned overhead video ! Loved this ❤

Have you tried the Fresh tinted lip balms? I keep thinking that they might hit all of your criteria, except they are not very shiny.
ahhhhhhh so excited to watch! 🩷
It’s always interesting to see what products make it into the permanent collection.

I had the same thought about the Merit mattes. Love love the colors but prefer the OG formula. I thought maybe I was just being persnickety.

I’ve had my eye on the Victoria eyeshadow in Onyx, but I can’t find that shade online anymore.
You might be able to search or it on the website. I have been able to add discontinued eyeliner to my cart that way
