For the paler blushes, I recommend looking at tutorials from K-Beauty idols! A lot of times, the paler blushes are used to blur out the edges to create a watercolor-eseque effect. Highly recommend videos from NewJeans' makeup artist :)
Clinique Cheek Pops are a classic for a reason. The formula has held up vs so much else on the market, and they were one of the first lines to actually have a broad spectrum of shades.
What kind of brush do y'all use to apply Clinique cheek pops? I really like the shade heather pop. It's a really nice formula but I have to use the right brush to apply the blush.
@@janetparson4995 Most of my brushes for powder are made with natural fibers. Goat hair, even when very soft, picks up my Cheek Pops well. Beautylish has a number of brush brands that use high quality natural fibers; what kind of shape do you prefer?
I feel if drugstore or more affordable brands had more cool tone options for blush Their would never be a need to purchase high end powder blush. Especially if the formula is that good.
Yep, a lot of them look cooler in the package but when I get it home. My magic fair/cool/olive skin turns everything peach/coral/orange 😢 sucks even my ride and die Loreal True Match blush in 1-2 C baby Blossom got reformulated and now is way more peach then cool/neutral pink.
I know right. Essence's baked blush formula she mentioned near the beginning of the video has a shade called Goldy Cassis that I like for a cooler toned option. It looks odd in the pan but really good on the skin.
I bought the NARS Exhibit A after your red blush video. I have no regrets, but WOW. The pigment will pigment for a life time, maybe even beyond the grave. ❤
I am a huge makeup lover and collector and I have more blushes than I care to mention and the Clinique pop blushes are some of my favorites I have about 6 of them nude pop being one of them. Not sure if they were reformulated but I’ve had mine for over 10 years (yuck) I know but it still performs well and it has no signs of mold or anything anyway I am medium skin tone and nude pop is hands down one of my top nude blushes that I adore
I adore my Nars Exhibit A. It is perfect in the warmer months, specifically. It compliments the warmth in my skin perfectly. I think mine is going to last forever, haha. A mini ‘would’ be ideal in that particular shade for the consumer.
Clinique cheek pops are my holy grail. I’ve had pink pop, peach pop, plum pop, melon pop, fig pop, pansy pop, pink honey pop, and heather pop. I even had the makeup artist for my wedding day use pansy pop and pink honey pop on me.
Loved this, the red ones are scary but end up looking lovely, very tempted by the Hauslabs blush. Regarding French, do go ahead and try your pronunciation, even if it is not exactly right your accent sounds lovely anyway😊 (French viewer here, finding you are the ONLY American beauty TH-camr who understands what ‘subtle’ means 😁)
I love the Clinique Cheek Pop. It is the biggest blush set that I have from one brand (usually I only own 4 shades per brand but in this i have more than 12 shades) , which I started collecting them back in 2016 up to the present day. Everything ticks off: nice packaging, good size, many varieties of shades, performs in any climate, and on any skintype. Love looking glowy without looking oily 😅
I literally did the little girl clap when you showed the Clinique Cheek Pop blushes! I have one in Black Honey and I have to say, it's so well-loved that I'm almost AFRAID to wear it too often for fear that I won't find this again should I empty it out!
Lovely relaxing end to the marathon I've been doing of your channel 😂 Nothing hits quite like a declutter and I turned notifications on for the next one 😏
I own so so many blushes in every type of formula. However, last year on a whim (RMS was doing a promotion where their redimension Hydra blushes were $5!) I picked up three of the RMS blushes. Prior to that I was mostly only using my salt ny cream blushes (cocoa is my hg). I IMMEDIATELY fell in love with the RMS & now it's pretty much all I use! I will say though, that some of their shades read way too similar on the skin. For instance, I picked up crystal slipper because maiden's blush was my fav & guess what? They are nearly identical, crystal slipper is just lighter in pigment but is the exact same tone. I do have sangria & on my skintone (fairest neutral) it's the most beautiful sun burnt look!
I'm a clinique cheek pop fan, I have 5 shades. They're such a pretty formula! Nude pop was great for me when I was very very pale but now I'm a bit tanner so it doesn't have the same purpose for me. But back then it was a great substitute for a bronzer for me. I have Black honey pop, pink honey pop, fig pop, baby marble pop, and the nude. I think you'd might really like the black honey or fig!
Clinique Cheek Pop lover here. I am slowly collecting all the colors. You would love Cola Pop. I am very fair, and it is one of my favorites. I just use a light hand.
I just rediscovered my love for the Clinique cheek pop blushes. I already had pansy pop but just purchased melon pop and ginger pop and they’re gorgeous on the skin. I’m a mature woman and they are so flattering on my skin. I already have two more sitting in my Ulta cart even though I need another blush like I need the plague. I’m hoping they’re offered on sale during the upcoming 21 days of beauty. I’m also hoping you plan to make a video on your top picks for the sale. 💜
LOVE the Clinique Cheek Pops. Still one of the best formulas in my opinion. I have Ginger Pop (pretty coral) and Heather Pop (perfect cooler toned pink).
I have 5 clinique cheek pop blushes. I love them so much! When I use them I mix black honey pop and pink honey pop, or I use heather pop. When I want just a feathering of colour I use the nude pop. I also have ginger pop, but I don't like orangy colours on my really fair olive toned skin.
Hey Amanda ive been a subscriber of yours since COVID hit, and you're one of the few that makes me buy stuff lol I got the givenchy blush in the red shade since ive been on the hunt for a red blush, and as someone who sometimes skips blush because I feel like it makes me feel too done I actually really liked the color on my med-light olive skin town! thanks for your recommendation 🥰
Thanks for this very entertaining and informative review and declutter Amanda! I am a total blush lover but cream and liquids. I have given away almost all my powder blushes and have gotten a few in formulas that I love. Creamy and subtly glowy and I only have about 10, and still rarely use them. In contrast to my many many cream and liquid blushes. I can’t resist getting lots of colors in a formula I love. When I tire of them or if I see I’m not really using a color or a formula I give them to my nieces. So never wasted. They have never needed to buy makeup because of their makeup obsessed aunt haha. So the Clinique pop blushes are lovely and I have a couple. Black honey is one of them and I love it. It’s one I think you’ll love as well. Slightly more pigmented and a bit less mauve than the Dior rosewood. So perfect for especially fall. I have and love them both. I am tempted to get the Givenchy loose powder one to try. Just afraid it will sit in my drawer like most of my other ones.
I really miss benefit Rockateur - that and Nars Torrid were my favourite powder blushes. Powder blush I don’t use as much anymore. I much prefer creams as it always makes my skin look better. The exception to this is the new Kosas blush - I got the shade swoon and it has that lovely mauve tone.
This video just convinced me to bite the bullet and buy the Dior blush in cherry 🍒 I’m so excited I hope it looks as good on me as it does on you. I’m very fair with green eyes. I’m excited for fall and winter with red cheeks. A trick I use if I get hard pan is to use a lil scotch tape and it takes it off like that. Thx for this video and your red blush video Amanda ❤
I love your collection! Wow! The Hause Labs looks appealing to me. Also, I mentioned previously if you could do a nail polish collection walk thru. Recently, I purchased the new Londontown Stary Chrome nailpolish. It is so beautiful. Inovative colour. It reminds me of the sun glinting off the water at the beach. Or when blowing bubbles, and you see that blue tone glinting in the bubble from the soap. The Pixi Chrome is not as nice IMO, but still nice. Love your channel!
Side note, I just ordered the Clinique Gelee Bronzer at an incredible price and I'm so excited to try it based on how much you love it! Also managed to get my hands on the Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge (Powder Pink) and the MAC Glow Play (Cheeky Devil) blushes in the same sale - I'm certainly not using traditional powder blush very often at all these days.

It's funny you say that. I'm a tan olive....I find cool ridiculous OTT pink is in the drug store. More nuisance I have to go a little higher
The only cool toned one I found at that price point is Flower Beauty Sweet Pea! Truly a cool toned mauve.
