I’m recovering from a broken neck & collapsed lung. It was a freak accident that occurred during a training ride. (competitive endurance cycling). I loved riding a bike. I no longer can.
I have a titanium rod in my neck, and I’m fused from C3 to C6. I’m so fortunate to be upright & fully functional, other than stiffness & limited ROM in my c spine. But I’ve been stuck on these limitations instead of having gratitude for all that I still have. I stumbled upon this channel and am profoundly grateful.

I am having the best winter in a decade. I stopped taking time for strength side. woke up two mornings ago to headache, very stiff shoulders, lower back... well I am back. two mornings of strength side and the improvement is immediate, not only physical but the positive mental energy. I will be joining strength side. thanks

I am a 51 year old man with OA who broke his body firstly by over training and then through neglect - this channel is a regular feature in my media consumption. Like a good book, starting my day with Strength Side nourishes the soul, calms the mind and heals the body. @brodyalden ปีที่แล้ว +8

Hi, I’m not medically trained, but as someone with substantial neurological troubles myself because of an injury, I thought it might be helpful to you if I said the following here:
An under-appreciated remedy (not necessarily a panacea, but it can sometimes be that too) for most (if not all) neurological disorders, is meditation. To do it effectively; start small and simple: focus above all on building up a reliable habit; at the beginning you should be doing the meditation by setting aside some time in a regular window each day, and sitting in a relaxed upright position (say, in a straight-backed chair without a pad), and concentrating on your breath (breathe in for a slow count of 4, then breathe out for 6) for a fixed period (eg. set a 15-45 min timer, depending on what you can manage). During this time try to not become focussed on any of your thoughts. If you find your attention becoming attached to something, try to gently guide it back to your breath. There are lots of directions a practice like this can be evolved once you have that down, but getting this stage right is very important for later development, and will do you a huge amount of good on its own. I’d challenge you to try it.

The most important thing for me when I wake up is doing my 20 minute yoga/stretch routine. It’s honestly reversed at least 15-20 years in terms of how great my body feels and how much energy I feel. Hello Strengh Side. I just want to say thank you, because you are really helping me changing a lot to positiv. Not just about my body, which was really stiff the last years and had multiple problems with my lower back (i'm 21 y/o).
I also feel a lot of improvement about my mindset!
You're old morning routine was the start for me grinding in those "live better" part. I did the streching every morning since april last year. I got so flexibel, im beating my friends in twister! 😀
And now, i really like this new routine, most because of the shoulder part, where i am still a bit unflexibel. I also like the bridge and the sitting-knee-to-chest-strech.
And i love the just listening to the beginning. We need to remind ourselves about the things, that are said there! I'm already starting to streach my hamstrings and periformis muslce.
Take on, what you're doing! You are giving so much to the people, who are watching you're videos.
Thank you so much, helping me turning my live in to a healthy and good one! 🙏🙏🙏

This routine ... For the first time today I woke up not in pain (I did it before bed). I just did it again ... Total relief in my back and hips.
    Thank you.

Wow great video. Love the beginning intro, be a deep lake, silent and full of wisdom, feel intentionally.
Awesome opening stretches. And great reminder to be kind to our body. 🙏🙌👏☺️💯

Well, that hurt so good! Boy I hope to get two days in a row in on this. Thanks for your energy. As I beat the heck out of my body for about 27 years hiking, biking, running swimming weight, lifting tree, climbing, etc. etc. etc. are now at 69 years old. I’m happy to get through a stretch session.

Great as always. My morning routine always starts with one or more of your videos. I start with some stretching, then an ab workout and then some meditation/breath work. Thanks for everything 👌

Thank you so much for this. I love the quotes in the beginning, gentle reminders of what to truly focus on rather than all the ‘should/need’ to that crowds the mind. The stretch was fantastic and very much needed. Thank you for curating such thoughtful content, that helps, rather than contributes to all the mindlessness.

Learning how to breath (various techniques for this) and relax your mind and body is the key to everything. From the moment you wake up until you fall asleep. Besides stress levels and such it helps enormously while streching, telling your muscles to relax in deep streches. Everyone can pick whatever "school" or "philosophy" they want to learn these. I like to think of the "monkey mind" (random emotions, occasions of "brainstrom" etc) and visualize the monkey in my head to recognize that I am in charge of the monkey, the silly things it sometimes brings to my mind.

Been waking up at 5 AM to go to the gym for the past few weeks. The weight is coming down but now its finally time for me to tackle my flexibility issues. Day 1 of me doing this on a regular basis. Thank you for the video.

what a mind game to have Josh narrate Trevor's movement 😂 I was a little confused when I first started watching your videos, like wait are there two of them?
I am so glad I found this channel. it is the perfect combo of everything and so well paced. y'all were made for this! thank you 🌻
Ive noticed lately I have lost fluidity in my spine, which is so important for everything else. would you consider making a routine video for this specific topic? just focusing on like a spinal flow? I would love to see this! I so appreciate all of your routine videos like this one. your channel has become my go to for mobility every day. thanks again! ☀️🌴
