When I first started working a Karen and her baby came up to check out. The baby grabbed a toothbrush while in the checkout and I asked her (the mom) to give it back. That's all that happened. She then complained to the manager that I had hit her son and taken the toothbrush from him while cursing loudly. Almost got fired for that. Only because the manager checked the tapes did I manage to avoid being fired.
Some Karen was upset last week because I told another customer to stand at the marked social-distance compliant point behind her in line. She demanded to speak to my manager, and I informed her I was in fact the manager on duty at the time, but I would gladly give her corporate's phone number if she had any further complaints.
Strange how "Karen" is misogynistic when from my experience working retail security Karen's targets are usually the pretty young female member of staff who is trying desperately to help her. I often wondered how much of Karen's rage is really about the service and how much was pure jealously at this younger prettier woman?
I love how they try to frame "let me speak to the manager" as challenging authority. It's the opposite. It's about putting an employee in their place by threatening to complain to someone with authority.

A different time a Karen walked into the restaurant and ignored all staff and sat at a large table for 8 people. I asked her if she was expecting other guests and she said no just herself. I told her that these tables were reserved for parties of six or more. She said she didn’t see any large parties at the moment. I told her it was our policy as we only have a limited number of large tables to accommodate larger parties. She moved to a smaller table, ate, and when she left she said I was wrong to tell her to move and that she wouldn’t be coming back. Have a nice day Karen.

Lol. I was in a line yesterday and people were discussing their anger at the government for imposing safety precautions and how covid 19 was a cover up for 5g and other bullshit. My Karen story: Husband brings car in for service. Car needs a repair. Husband & I negotiate a price. Repair is made, wife comes to pay & pick up vehicle. "Karen" disagrees with the price. I explain that the price is what was agreed upon. Karen keeps debating that price is wrong. I told Karen, call your husband & confirm. She refuses and continues to argue the price is wrong. After 20 minutes of back and forth. I get frustrated and tell Karen, "How can you say the price is wrong, when you were not present at the time that your husband & I agreed upon the price, and you won't call him to confirm?". Karen then accuses me of misogyny, trying to take advantage of her because she's a woman & of course because she had the hairdo, now wants to speak to the manager. My manager comes to speak to "Karen". She accuses me of everything listed above. Now, what she didn't know is that my manager was present at the time of the agreement and he explained that to her. She then accused him of the same thing. Long story short. "Karen" paid the agreed price and left quite unhappy.
@Plamen Stoev I can explain why. In the automotive business we customer service reps are reviewed by customer survey. Customers know that the survey can affect our pay & bonuses. Many reps fold and cave in to a customers demands, knowing that theres a good chance that customer will be recieving a survey. Not me. If you fold to them today, you will have to give in to them everytime they come back. I've been in this industry over 20 years. I've seen customer service reps become alcoholics, have to see psychiatrists, quit the business altogether, commit suicide from the stress. I had a coworker found dead in his office from a heart attack from stress. Not me. I come to work and treat everyone with courtesy & respect. To the customers that treat me the same I go above and beyond for. For the self entitled jerks that think they can come in and bully me, make ridiculous demands and dangle a survey in front of me like a piece of meat, can stick that survey where the sun don't shine. The good thing is that the manufacturers are now aware of this practice among customers and are changing the survey's that impact customer service reps/service advisors pay/bonuses less. Now the surveys are based on customer retention, and no longer about customer satisfaction.

My Karen story: Worked in food service. Specifically, Mediterranean food such as schwarma and all of that. We always served it hot off the grill. A woman comes in orders a beef schwarma plate. She then sits down stares at her phone for 30 minutes. Not even kidding it took her that long. Never touches the food. Then she finally decides to eat it. She spits it out and demands we give her the money back and give her new food because her food was stone cold. Accused me of giving her old food then asked to see the owner. He saw all of it and said "Well your food tends to get cold when you do not touch it for half an hour. So dont blame us for you not eating your food soon enough to eat it while it was hot and fresh like we always serve our food."

Hell, just last week, some woman was on her phone, and our policy (I work at a meat department in a grocery store) is to not help people on their phones. If they get pissy, we can even tell them "Sorry, I didn't want to interrupt your very important phone conversation." Anyway, the lady is constantly talking on her phone, and the place was packed, due to the current epidemic. Eventually, she looks up from her phone and starts talking really loud about how no one's helping her. One of the coworkers, maybe even my manager, outright said that if she's on her phone, she's not getting help, especially since there's a lot of other customers who are actually paying attention. Not sure what happened after that, I wasn't actually there, but I did hear the story from word of mouth.

He started getting pissy with my coworker (who was also my friend), so my manager stepped in and yelled at him that we already have enough problems without people like him coming in and making us miserable. The guy started fumbling for words and said "I just want to feed my family", and my manager said as bluntly as possible that he didn't care. I swear, I've seen couples come in and buy more crap than parents trying to feed families of five.

My Karen story: I worked as a cashier at Hobby Lobby, and Karen comes in and asks where the hair ribbons are. After I pointed them to her, she came back and demanded to know where we kept “the purple ones”, and to get them from the back room. My store didn’t have a back room, what you see is all we have. I told her I could place an order and we could contact her when we get a new shipment, but’s she wanted them NOW and there HAS to be a back room where there is more. Surprise, surprise, she asked for my manager. My manager had to explain to her that we didn’t have a back room and maybe she could make another hair ribbon out of the rolls we have in the craft section? She ran to get some and came back with more equipment. She pulled out the 40% coupon, so I scanned it on her most expensive item. She asked if she could use it on the other items as separate transactions, but I told her I was very sorry bc it’s one person per transaction and it’s against store policy. She stared complaining and holding up the line for her stupid ribbon. Cue calling for Mr. Manager again. (God bless him) He told her that it is not possible to scan the coupon again for another item bc it was against store policy. She. Went. Off. She was yelling in his face, stood there like “I’m not moving until I get what I want”, being all whiny, then she was threatening him, threatening me, etc. Bless my manager, he didn’t give in and didn’t leave me alone with her. He protected the cash register with the fortitude of a knight protecting his maiden’s virginity. She cussed at us as she paid and huffed out the door. I swear I’ve never had to deal with someone so entitled in my life, and I hope I never have to deal with her kind again.

The reason why this meme is so funny is because literally anyone who's had a minimum wage job has dealt with a Karen. My Karen story is that one time, some lady ordered a SOY frappucino with DAIRY whipped cream on top. Seeng the whipped cream written on the cup I assumed the whole drink was a regular dairy drink. I noticed that wasn't the case after pouring the milk into the blender, so I emptied the milk into the sink and (without washing the blender) poured soy milk into it. I was living in Cali at the time during the drought and my manager was all about "conserving water" so I figured it was NBD and didn't bother to waste water since the Karen clearly wasn't lactose intolerant if she was getting whipped cream on her frap. Anyway, the woman was hovering over me the entire time I was making her frap and started screaming at me saying "NO NO NO NO NO! YOU'VE CONTAMINATED THE BLENDER YOU MORON." So I look at her deadass and ask her if she's lactose intolerant. She says yes. So I ask her if she wants me to not make the drink with whipped since it said that on the cup.The bitch said she still wanted the whipped cream. SO she hovered over me as I washed the blender, poured ANOTHER cup of soy milk into the blender, and then covered her frap in whipped cream. I watched her drink it too. A Karen AND a fake dairy-free person. I dare you to name a more annoying combo.
I work at a pet store: I was cashing out a woman named Samantha but since Samantha is also the name of my fav person I’ll just say K, this lady got about $280 of cat cans, not organized at all so I had to pick out and scan every can ranging from like $0.48-$1.18. She had a plethora of coupons (took the price down to about $200). I finished the cash out and then she stood at the register for a few mins backing up a line, after she looked it all over she noticed it was about $1 off. She got pissed off, I called my manager up, and while she was dealing with my manager (on his first night closing w/out other managers) was on the phone saying “Sorry, I’m dealing with a bunch or retards” (idk what the exact words were but I remember retard and fucking moron being used more than once). After she got her $1 off and a discount for her next purchase she stormed out with her mountain of low quality cat food.

Actually there's a good way and bad way to smile I learn that in a hard way you see I know my ugly face very very well so I rarely look in the mirror and even if I look into a mirror I never smile so I don't know what I look like when I smile and I'm not the kind of person who smile so just to smile and alot of people know that when I'm smiling it's a genuine smile and apparently I'm not smiling according to few people because it's a smirk so now I know why they hated me when I'm smiling.

Karen story: when i was a teen i worked at a fast food place and a "karen" came in to order a works burger (for those outside australia a works burger is salad, meat, bacon, egg, pineapple and cheese) she asked for no meat because she said she was vegetarian, i made her burger and wished her a good day, 5 mins later she comes back and throws the burger in my face, the thing exploded covering me in beetroot juice and sauce and told me i was "a fucking idiot" and that "my parents probably wish i was never born" because "there was no bacon on my burger", when i informed her bacon was meat she did the "i want to speak to your manager" my manager saw everything and was already on the phone to security. We had security footage and everything so she got banned from the entire shopping centre complex.

i'm the manager in a restaurant and a few Karen's that stand out to me were: A woman asking me why there were so many flies outside, i replied ''just nature i guess?'' she left a bad review saying that i was unhelpful and she just wanted to learn about the town because she was from another province, that was my first summer in the country A woman leaving a review calling me 'aggressive and rude' because i politely refused to give them a discount on a meal where i had replaced a missing item with a different item, so they had gotten what they paid for, and it was agreed at ordering that it was a good solution A woman who ordered a portion of sweet potato fries, her kids all lunge for the one portion as soon as i put it down, she then points at the half empty bowl and complained she didn't get enough fries 'standing up for yourself' or 'just having a bad day' are horrible reasons to treat people like shit.

My problem I have with the word Karen is that it has lost its original meaning. It started off as a way to point out bad behavior from people that are quick to anger twords employees and always ask for the manager and throw a tantrum to try to get there way. But now it’s just a word used when someone disagrees with another person’s opinion. It’s just like the word boomer. Boomer was a way to call out beliefs that felt outdated. Now it’s used the same as Karen. They might as well be interchangeable at this point because they are almost always used in a way to try to shut down your opinion. And when somebody does use the word in a correct context it’s easy to dismiss them because the word is misused all the time.
MALE KAREN STORY: I was a teenager I was working a drive through, and a male Karen tried to give his order with the window rolled up. Then pulled forward without being told to do so. When he pulled up I asked for his order. He demanded to see my manger even though it was 9 pm my manager had left. He called the corporate office everyday for the next month to get our store shut down. I have no idea why he was so angry

I live in denmark and worked in a relatively high-class restaurant as a chef. One day, an actual elected offcial came by the restaurant and wanted some food 10 minutes before closing time. So we had obviously cleaned and were practically ready to leave. The waiter informed her that we would not be serving anymore food as we were already pretty much closed. She then proceeded to stick her head into the kitchen and ask me, if i "couldn't just turn everyting on again and make her something fast". When i informed her that this was not possible, she proceeded to throw a minor fit explaining to us that we were being very disrespectful to her and told us, she would leave a negative review. Still baffles me to this day.
There are a few male-name versions of Karens, they just refer to a different kind of attitude. Kevins can't be trusted to perform simple tasks without setting fire to the building. Kyle will scream at the TV for 3 hours straight at midnight on a Monday. I'm sure there are others too, they just haven't gotten as popular as 'Karen' since it refers to self-entitled douchebags that treat customer service people poorly and like half of the internet is disgruntled customer service workers.

I worked at a Dunkin Donuts when in my early 20s. There was one lady who wouldn’t let men make her coffee. She came through the drive thru one day, and it was me and two other guys working. She sat at the window for 20 minutes blocking the drive thru in protest of the way we were scheduled that day. Thankfully cops like to frequent donut shops. That’s my Karen story, and now I’m engaged to someone named Karen (who finds the memes hilarious btw).

Here’s my Karen story: I was two days into my first job and Karen’s daughter who looked about 17-18, (basically just under/around the legal age here) put down two bottles of wine to pay for. I legally had to ask for her Id before I let this possible minor walk off with two bottles of wine. Karen sees me ask, and in the most insane leap of logic I’ve even witnessed, freaked out and claimed I was and I quote ‘Trying to steal [her] daughters data’. I assured her that was impossible from just checking an Id and that I legally needed to check her daughters Id. She screamed at me saying I should be embarrassed and ashamed of myself. I struggled not to laugh but kept it together before my boss came over and escorted the Karen out. Most batshit insane thing I experienced there. I myself was only 18 and afterwards other customers came up to ask if I was ok and what that was about.
I used to work at a private mailing store, place where you could drop off something and we'd pack it up and send it through any carrier you wanted. Once a woman we sent a package through USPS for had it bounce all around, basically never getting delivered. Which I get it, that sucks. But somehow despite it being on some random Post Office truck after a couple weeks she blamed us for refusing to deliver it. We explained it's out of our hands and even showed her the tracking history. Then one day she showed up about a half hour after we were closed and me and my coworker were counting money and locking up and just pounded on the front door. Explained the situation again and how both we and the Post Office are closed now so there's literally nothing we could do. She of course threw a fit and yelled at me. Five minutes later when we're about to leave we let a call go to the answering machine and it's her, screaming about how we're all scammers, stole her package and how she's going to stand out front of the store every day from then on with a picket sign to protest our 'greedy malicious actions'. Obviously me and my coworker were dying laughing and obviously she never bothered to 'protest' us, but that was probably the best Karen experience I've ever had.

I had Karen come into my shop 4 minutes before closing with a flat tire. the tire was literally in 2 pieces and she lost her shit at us when we told her that we can't repair a tire that's that damaged. I even offered to put her spare on for free but she continued to yell at us thinking that would make us do the impossible.

We opened at 8am, I didn't start until 8:30am, but I would usually be there by 7:15am, as one of the store managers, I liked to get in early, to get all the paperwork up to date, and the days bookings sorted and allocated. So at 7:20, i hear a knocking on the door, its a woman and there is a mid range BMW parked in front of the office. She tells me that she has a flat, and needs it changed. When I explained to her that we're not open yet, and if she was willing to wait, as soon as a mechanic arrived, I would get him to punch on early and change her tyre. That wasn't good enough for her, she proceded to complain, and demand that I change her tyre, told me that it was an emergency, that she couldn't believe that I wouldn't help her in an emergency, then threatened to call head office and complain about me. (She did call head office, and I did get in trouble, but then I got that regional manager in trouble for reprimanding me, by reminding head office, that if I had changed her tyre, outside of trading hours, that our insurance wouldnt cover any problems, and that I had actually done the right thing)

Some Karen was upset last week because I told another customer to stand at the marked social-distance compliant point behind her in line. She demanded to speak to my manager, and I informed her I was in fact the manager on duty at the time, but I would gladly give her corporate's phone number if she had any further complaints.
Strange how "Karen" is misogynistic when from my experience working retail security Karen's targets are usually the pretty young female member of staff who is trying desperately to help her. Husband brings car in for service. Car needs a repair. Husband & I negotiate a price. Repair is made, wife comes to pay & pick up vehicle. "Karen" disagrees with the price. I explain that the price is what was agreed upon. Karen keeps debating that price is wrong. I told Karen, call your husband & confirm. She refuses and continues to argue the price is wrong. After 20 minutes of back and forth. I get frustrated and tell Karen, "How can you say the price is wrong, when you were not present at the time that your husband & I agreed upon the price, and you won't call him to confirm?". Karen then accuses me of misogyny, trying to take advantage of her because she's a woman & of course because she had the hairdo, now wants to speak to the manager. My manager comes to speak to "Karen". She accuses me of everything listed above. Now, what she didn't know is that my manager was present at the time of the agreement and he explained that to her. She then accused him of the same thing. Long story short. "Karen" paid the agreed price and left quite unhappy.

I can explain why. In the automotive business we customer service reps are reviewed by customer survey. Customers know that the survey can affect our pay & bonuses. Many reps fold and cave in to a customers demands, knowing that theres a good chance that customer will be recieving a survey. Not me. If you fold to them today, you will have to give in to them everytime they come back. I've been in this industry over 20 years. I've seen customer service reps become alcoholics, have to see psychiatrists, quit the business altogether, commit suicide from the stress. I had a coworker found dead in his office from a heart attack from stress. Not me. I come to work and treat everyone with courtesy & respect. To the customers that treat me the same I go above and beyond for. For the self entitled jerks that think they can come in and bully me, make ridiculous demands and dangle a survey in front of me like a piece of meat, can stick that survey where the sun don't shine. The good thing is that the manufacturers are now aware of this practice among customers and are changing the survey's that impact customer service reps/service advisors pay/bonuses less. Now the surveys are based on customer retention, and no longer about customer satisfaction.

My Karen story: Worked in food service. Specifically, Mediterranean food such as schwarma and all of that. We always served it hot off the grill. A woman comes in orders a beef schwarma plate. She then sits down stares at her phone for 30 minutes. Not even kidding it took her that long. Never touches the food. Then she finally decides to eat it. She spits it out and demands we give her the money back and give her new food because her food was stone cold. Accused me of giving her old food then asked to see the owner. He saw all of it and said "Well your food tends to get cold when you do not touch it for half an hour. So dont blame us for you not eating your food soon enough to eat it while it was hot and fresh like we always serve our food."

Hell, just last week, some woman was on her phone, and our policy (I work at a meat department in a grocery store) is to not help people on their phones. Anyway, the lady is constantly talking on her phone, and the place was packed, due to the current epidemic. Eventually, she looks up from her phone and starts talking really loud about how no one's helping her. My store didn’t have a back room, what you see is all we have. I told her I could place an order and we could contact her when we get a new shipment, but’s she wanted them NOW and there HAS to be a back room where there is more. Surprise, surprise, she asked for my manager.
My manager had to explain to her that we didn’t have a back room and maybe she could make another hair ribbon out of the rolls we have in the craft section? She ran to get some and came back with more equipment.
She pulled out the 40% coupon, so I scanned it on her most expensive item. She asked if she could use it on the other items as separate transactions, but I told her I was very sorry bc it’s one person per transaction and it’s against store policy. She stared complaining and holding up the line for her stupid ribbon.

The reason why this meme is so funny is because literally anyone who's had a minimum wage job has dealt with a Karen.
My Karen story is that one time, some lady ordered a SOY frappucino with DAIRY whipped cream on top. Seeng the whipped cream written on the cup I assumed the whole drink was a regular dairy drink. I noticed that wasn't the case after pouring the milk into the blender, so I emptied the milk into the sink and (without washing the blender) poured soy milk into it. I was living in Cali at the time during the drought and my manager was all about "conserving water" so I figured it was NBD and didn't bother to waste water since the Karen clearly wasn't lactose intolerant if she was getting whipped cream on her frap.
Anyway, the woman was hovering over me the entire time I was making her frap and started screaming at me saying "NO NO NO NO NO! YOU'VE CONTAMINATED THE BLENDER YOU MORON." So I look at her deadass and ask her if she's lactose intolerant. She says yes. So I ask her if she wants me to not make the drink with whipped since it said that on the cup.The bitch said she still wanted the whipped cream. SO she hovered over me as I washed the blender, poured ANOTHER cup of soy milk into the blender, and then covered her frap in whipped cream. I watched her drink it too.

I work at a pet store: I was cashing out a woman named Samantha but since Samantha is also the name of my fav person I’ll just say K, this lady got about $280 of cat cans, not organized at all so I had to pick out and scan every can ranging from like $0.48-$1.18. She had a plethora of coupons (took the price down to about $200). I finished the cash out and then she stood at the register for a few mins backing up a line, after she looked it all over she noticed it was about $1 off. She got pissed off, I called my manager up, and while she was dealing with my manager (on his first night closing w/out other managers) was on the phone saying “Sorry, I’m dealing with a bunch or retards” (idk what the exact words were but I remember retard and fucking moron being used more than once). After she got her $1 off and a discount for her next purchase she stormed out with her mountain of low quality cat food.

Karen story: when i was a teen i worked at a fast food place and a "karen" came in to order a works burger (for those outside australia a works burger is salad, meat, bacon, egg, pineapple and cheese) she asked for no meat because she said she was vegetarian, i made her burger and wished her a good day, 5 mins later she comes back and throws the burger in my face, the thing exploded covering me in beetroot juice and sauce and told me i was "a fucking idiot" and that "my parents probably wish i was never born" because "there was no bacon on my burger", when i informed her bacon was meat she did the "i want to speak to your manager" my manager saw everything and was already on the phone to security. We had security footage and everything so she got banned from the entire shopping centre complex.

A woman asking me why there were so many flies outside, i replied ''just nature i guess?'' she left a bad review saying that i was unhelpful and she just wanted to learn about the town because she was from another province, that was my first summer in the country
A woman leaving a review calling me 'aggressive and rude' because i politely refused to give them a discount on a meal where i had replaced a missing item with a different item, so they had gotten what they paid for, and it was agreed at ordering that it was a good solution
A woman who ordered a portion of sweet potato fries, her kids all lunge for the one portion as soon as i put it down, she then points at the half empty bowl and complained she didn't get enough fries

My problem I have with the word Karen is that it has lost its original meaning. It started off as a way to point out bad behavior from people that are quick to anger twords employees and always ask for the manager and throw a tantrum to try to get there way. But now it’s just a word used when someone disagrees with another person’s opinion. It’s just like the word boomer. Boomer was a way to call out beliefs that felt outdated. Now it’s used the same as Karen. They might as well be interchangeable at this point because they are almost always used in a way to try to shut down your opinion. And when somebody does use the word in a correct context it’s easy to dismiss them because the word is misused all the time.
MALE KAREN STORY: I was a teenager I was working a drive through, and a male Karen tried to give his order with the window rolled up. Then pulled forward without being told to do so. When he pulled up I asked for his order. He demanded to see my manger even though it was 9 pm my manager had left. He called the corporate office everyday for the next month to get our store shut down. I have no idea why he was so angry

I live in denmark and worked in a relatively high-class restaurant as a chef. One day, an actual elected offcial came by the restaurant and wanted some food 10 minutes before closing time. So we had obviously cleaned and were practically ready to leave. The waiter informed her that we would not be serving anymore food as we were already pretty much closed.
She then proceeded to stick her head into the kitchen and ask me, if i "couldn't just turn everyting on again and make her something fast".
When i informed her that this was not possible, she proceeded to throw a minor fit explaining to us that we were being very disrespectful to her and told us, she would leave a negative review. Still baffles me to this day.

Too many years working retail at a variety of jobs has shown me that Karens are everywhere. In all levels of society, in all neighborhoods, there is a Karen lurking. You know who she/he is.
(It's honestly *not* gender or race specific. I have known young Hispanic Karens, and older black Karens, in addition to all the middle-age and older entitled white men and women. It's an attitude and it's the 'fingernails on the chalkboard' of retail life.)
I worked at a Dunkin Donuts when in my early 20s. There was one lady who wouldn’t let men make her coffee. She came through the drive thru one day, and it was me and two other guys working. She sat at the window for 20 minutes blocking the drive thru in protest of the way we were scheduled that day. Thankfully cops like to frequent donut shops. Here’s my Karen story: I was two days into my first job and Karen’s daughter who looked about 17-18, (basically just under/around the legal age here) put down two bottles of wine to pay for. I legally had to ask for her Id before I let this possible minor walk off with two bottles of wine. Karen sees me ask, and in the most insane leap of logic I’ve even witnessed, freaked out and claimed I was and I quote ‘Trying to steal [her] daughters data’. I assured her that was impossible from just checking an Id and that I legally needed to check her daughters Id. She screamed at me saying I should be embarrassed and ashamed of myself. I struggled not to laugh but kept it together before my boss came over and escorted the Karen out. Most batshit insane thing I experienced there. I myself was only 18 and afterwards other customers came up to ask if I was ok and what that was about.

I used to work at a private mailing store, place where you could drop off something and we'd pack it up and send it through any carrier you wanted. Once a woman we sent a package through USPS for had it bounce all around, basically never getting delivered. Which I get it, that sucks. But somehow despite it being on some random Post Office truck after a couple weeks she blamed us for refusing to deliver it. We explained it's out of our hands and even showed her the tracking history. Then one day she showed up about a half hour after we were closed and me and my coworker were counting money and locking up and just pounded on the front door. Explained the situation again and how both we and the Post Office are closed now so there's literally nothing we could do. She of course threw a fit and yelled at me. Five minutes later when we're about to leave we let a call go to the answering machine and it's her, screaming about how we're all scammers, stole her package and how she's going to stand out front of the store every day from then on with a picket sign to protest our 'greedy malicious actions'. Obviously me and my coworker were dying laughing and obviously she never bothered to 'protest' us, but that was probably the best Karen experience I've ever had.

That wasn't good enough for her, she proceded to complain, and demand that I change her tyre, told me that it was an emergency, that she couldn't believe that I wouldn't help her in an emergency, then threatened to call head office and complain about me. (She did call head office, and I did get in trouble, but then I got that regional manager in trouble for reprimanding me, by reminding head office, that if I had changed her tyre, outside of trading hours, that our insurance wouldnt cover any problems, and that I had actually done the right thing)
