I just bought my 6.2 and this helped me a ton. I’ve had magnaflow on every one of my pickups but wasn’t sure how it sounded with the 6.2. Thanks for the video.
Out of all the Flowmaster mufflers I feel the " Outlaw " sounded best as far as aggressiveness but the "10" for me would be good. The "10" sounds good on the initial start up & under harder throttle but doesn't have a drone in the cab when cruising on highway and moderate when driving around town.

Please put in the x pipe 1st then do your any exhaust set up last will will not regit do your research 1st then program or pulsar lt unit for newer Chevys 5.3 or 6.2 models if you can't achieve higher hp then don't waste your money and time period
I just got borla s-types for my 18 Silverado 6.2. I've always had flowmaster 40s on my trucks but I think my 6.2 needs to breathe a little more. Can't wait to slap those bad boys on. Great vid BTW. Subbed.

Total and complete respect for the work involved in this! Unfortunately I've yet to find a Silverado exhaust that sounds similar to my 2017 camaro ss dual exhaust.. 😢 I might be regretting the trade 🤔

Flowmaster makes some great sounding exhaust. the 10 is a good sound but the outlaw is amazing sounding. and the 40 and the 44 and 50 are great as well. for the money it has to be flowmaster. I like the borla but not quite what I expected. I want to hear my 6.2 liter 2022 silverado, now the real problem is which one will I end up with?
Can I ask why there’s a steady drone happening in the background of each sample? Before the truck starts, there’s a deep rumble like another truck is running next to the camera. Is anyone else hearing this?
Flowmaster 10 sound the best!!!! I have flowmasters 40 on this same exact truck think imma move to the FM 10. Love that deep throaty rumble at low idle. I really don’t care for the crackly raspy sound much.

Honestly I actually prefer the straight pipe exhaust (provided that it would stay under the maximum decibel requirements) and true duals would be even better.
Awesome video. More shops need to do these so we can get REAL side by side comparisons. Same truck. Different setups. Those Borla Turbo XL and XR1 don't sound good at all, IMO. The ATAK is louder than I'd want but has that gurgle. Their Catback for these trucks sounds awesome (Touring version) but why pay for ALL the pipe?? And they refuse to sell just the specific muffler in that kit. Next to that the Flowmaster Super 44 had a little gurgle.

I have a 2021 Trailboss Custom with a 6.2 liter. Did a muffler delete and removed the flapper. I left the resonators on it. It sounds wicked nice but the cab noise is too much for me. It aggravates me when the DFM kicks in. At one point it sounds like a Subaru! Lol. I live in West Virginia so going up and down mountains and the DFM kicking in and out is a bit aggravating. I ordered a Flowmaster Super 40. I just want a nice deep growling sound with little cab noise. Excellent video my friend!!
@@FMSPerformance It was a stock muffler. The truck has 600 miles on it. Just had it removed and straight piped it. I’m waiting on the Super 40 to come in so I can get it installed. Hopefully it helps with the cab noise.

This is all custom work, like exhaust used to be. A good muffler shop should have all the items to build you a nice sounding system for considerably less than buying a cat back kit

Hey guys want to start by saying this is a great, great video! I have been scratching my head at this to no end. I was originally leaning on doing a muffler delete, but afraid of any possible drone while driving. I love the sound of the straight pipe, but not sure how it would sound while on the highway? Had the muffler delete done with the flapper cut out way way to much droning loud and aggressive but if you do any highway driving the drone will drive you nuts it's a cheap way to get the aggressive sound but ended up with the borla atak muffler love it

I have the super 10 with the flappers deleted. How much louder would it make it if I were to delete the resonators? Would cabin sound be too loud? Thanks in advance.

How long are the quad tips? I want to get it done on my 2020 trail boss but was told by exhaust shop since there is a hanger right after the stock tips may be hard to switch to quads

Thanks for the info Chris, which muffler did you use the first time? You can also use a Hypertech tuner to eliminate the 4 cylinder mode.

We removed both the resonators and the muffler together at that point.

Yes.
Which exhaust set up gives the most horsepower?
They all give about the same amount, just different sound levels. We did not do a Dyno run but the research we found was about 5 HP

With everything deleted and a straight pipe we will have issues passing smog?
No issues passing the smog test for CA. None of the smog controls were tampered with, the catalytic converters and sensors remain in place. The factory warranty remains in tack as well. Please subscribe for more updates. Thank you

@@ChrisSpinner Sorry for the confusion Chris. The resonators were removed with all sound clips taken after the stock sound clip.

I have the super 10 with the flappers deleted. How much louder would it make it if I were to delete the resonators? Would cabin sound be too loud? Thanks in advance.

How long are the quad tips? I want to get it done on my 2020 trail boss but was told by exhaust shop since there is a hanger right after the stock tips may be hard to switch to quads

That's a great question we get asked allot. Corsa does not offer just a muffler replacement. You have to purchase their entire kit.
