Kudos for the Video! Apologies for the intrusion, I would appreciate your initial thoughts. Have you ever tried - Mahorrla Control Clutter Method (Sure I saw it on Google)? It is a smashing exclusive product for decluttering your home without the hard work. Ive heard some great things about it and my best friend Jordan after a lifetime of fighting got cool results with it.
Tip for organizing clothes - only get rid of things for the SEASON that you're currently in. In the winter, get rid of winter clothes that you no longer wear, then wait until summer to re-evaluate your summer clothes. It will prevent you from re-purchasing things that you actually did need. Sounds obvious, but it's not a technique that is adressed a lot in these videos.
Doesn't sound obvious to me. Just bc people don't wear something in the current season they're in, doesn't mean they won't wear it that next year. If people keep getting rid of stuff they'll end up buying back again at a later time.
( Really late reply, I’m sorry) I would do this too, but there are some things that already look really bad but bring me joy. For example: my stuffed animal that I own since I was 2 weeks old (13 1/2 years ago). I can‘t sleep without it but it looks pretty bad compared to how it looked once. Nobody would buy it but I keep it because it brings me joy. Also, if I would clean like this, I would throw away 90% of the things I own and my mother would be hella mad at me.
bxbblxtxx exactly! :)) I think there needs to be a balance even in cleaning. If you throw everything that is a little bit damaged or used, you get to constantly buy new stuff and you get really tired or spend too much money..:)) I think it is not about having the perfect looking house or closet or whatever...it is about what one truly needs...
This is just superb, been searching for "how to become a professional organizer book" for a while now, and I think this has helped. You ever tried - Xanmily Yonandon Finder - (do a google search ) ? Ive heard some decent things about it and my m8 got amazing success with it.

Autumm Dottir lol i thought the end would be like you saying „you don‘t spark joy“ to your boyfriend and break up or something i don‘t know why but that‘s how my brain wanted to end this sentence... glad it wasn‘t like that 😅
This video inspired me so much that after I watched it last night I purged my closet and dresser and ended up with 6 garbage bags full of clothes and shoes that I plan to donate to a local women's shelter! Thanks for the video, it was awesome!
That’s amazing! I, personally, have never been able to get through it. I have OCD, I’ve been diagnosed for 3-4 years now, and I just can’t do it. I’m not attached to any of it, but I’m just such a perfectionist I can’t get through any task. I once spent two hours organising a 64 deck of cards. Now imagine how much hell I went through attempting to organise my Pokémon cards (a little more than a drawer full). I ended up throwing them all back into the drawer and falling asleep after an anxiety attack. But I want to donate, so I’m going to donate my old prescription glasses. I have four pairs at the moment and I’m going to need new lenses soon, so I’m going to donate the others when I’m there.
We always do it at my place. When people first saw it they thought it was weird but then they lighted up to the idea and started doing it in their house. i believe it is slowly progressing and we need to do it more.
Im really into organization, so this was Aesthetically pleasing. SN: Michelle I don't care what you make a video about anymore.. because lately you've been *Killin It* I feel like I can replace some of my Netflix and chill time haha. Your so genuine, please don't change
I love this, I struggle with depression and my apartment is a reflection of that. It's so nice to see someone organize their place and have purpose for everything. Super inspiring!
I really needed this video to organize my closet. She's right about how certain materials evoke certain emotions and memories and purging them can be difficult but these are not things that should overwhelm us especially when they don't serve its purpose anymore. and ESPECIALLY when they don't fit :D
I’m actually cleaning out everything in my house (even the garage 😮) and I’m currently on the binge of cleaning videos. This really helped me realize I have to stop being emotionally attached to clothes that I don’t need. “Maybe I’ll wear them” is not a valid excuse anymore for me
Your new place is beautiful! You should treat yourself to some beautiful matching velvet thin or wood hangers since you're elevating the space. You'd be surprised how much of a difference it makes to get rid of those plastic college things!.

I had to move about 20 times in my life now (I'm 23). After the first few moves I always started to clean out everything like you did in this video and recently I started finding a practical place for everything that I own as soon as I move in. I can also recommend doing this for your make-up, paperwork, folders on your computer, fridge etc. PickUpLimes has a perfect video for this on her blog.
This lady is so chill and in tune with herself that she can offer guidance with other people on something that seems so simple but can be so overwhelming and difficult. I've been trying to organize and purge in order to help my mental state "even out" and this video was so inspiring and helpful!
She used the spark joy and sleevless to long sleeve part, but I wished she adhered to the rest of Kondo's advice! Light to dark colors would've looked amazing! I loved that book, it was so helpful.
Some tips I use that can make your closet space look and stay more organized... 1) Match all your hangers. Whether it's all plastic white ones or those sleep velvet-esque kinds, having all your clothes on the same hanger helps everything look like it's meant to be there. 2) At the beginning of a year or a season, flip all your hangers (with clothes) so that they are facing the wrong direction. Then at the end of the year or season, anything that you haven't worn will still be in that position and you'll know to get rid of it.
Wow, My congratulations Michelle. You and Ashley got a new apartment and that is so beautiful and spacious with many bedrooms and kitchen to keep your stuff comfortably Michelle. I love it
This video came at just the right time. I am spending this afternoon sorting and purging for a move, and your video was the perfect motivation to get rolling!
This is really great. What I also like to do for my clothing is to make outfits with everything I have, then decide what's left over and to shop for what I need to complete an outfit. When I have everything I own make sense I feel complete

Good for you for taking action and starting on it! I’m in the middle of trying to go through my room too! I just finished high school so going through a lot of childhood stuff and deciding what needs to stay and go. How is it coming along so far?
Amelia Rose I just saw this! I actually did my whole closet. Organized by types so short sleeve shirts then long sleeve then pants then shorts and so on. I also did my bathroom closet and drawers. I just finished my first year of college and doing this made me feel like I have my life together 😂
well I feel validated. I did all of this when I moved with the exception of things that are not applicable. Purging what I didn't need before packing made unpacking really easy and even packing because I didn't have to wonder what was in a box. I had carefully gone through it all so it was fresh and clear to me what was there. I did learn/get reminded about those drawer separators for the kitchen. I have one drawer that gets a little mushed with the loose items and those would help a lot I think.
Wow she sure is(and aesthetically attractive too) but.. Rhetorical question: How can someone be so chill, sentient and vibrant simultaneously. She's clearly allowed herself to attain a high range of nurturing attitudes somewhere along her life.
Organizing really is more a matter of knowing yourself. "Do I love this?" or "Will I use this?" should be your main two questions throughout the process. When it comes down to it, either you want something for sentimentality or you need it for necessity.
I've seen so many of these videos but watching yours today Michelle was actually very inspiring to do some organizing of my own place. Not moving, but spring feels like the right time anyways. Love your new place by the way! Wish you all the best and many lovely times and memories in your new home! xxx
There's a book called *_The life-changing Magic of Tidying_* & I hear good things. I just ordered *_The Life-changing Manga of Tidying_* because it's a graphic novel adaptation
This video literally inspired me to the point of immediately making a Target run. Bought a bunch of drawer organizers and bins. This is how I will be spending my Saturday night.
I’ve been putting off organizing my closet until I’m through with this year of school. I think I am ready after this video, I’m so excited to see my closet floor
I'm literally listen to this video in my closet .... It did get inspired me to clean and move things that I don't longer use or give it to someone lol . Thanks Michelle for sharing
I'm pretty on point with organization skills. I know where every single thing in my purse is at all times. The way I do my closet is dresses, shirts (sleeve less then short sleeve than long sleeve sub categorized by color and casual/professional style), then bottoms (what I use more goes first and then what I use sporadically goes second with length from long to short as well as casual/professional style).
4:18 U can really see the organiser's confidence in the way she .... well, is! I mean, this moment specifically. This little dance move shows a lot of confidence, wow

Yes, even our body doesn't belong to us. It helps us experiencing a lot in this life and then we must leave it back to continue our journey.
That’s an ancient Hindu saying 😇

Wow! I love Ashley's approach and very calm demeanor! I absolutely loooove this new apartment and all the things you did to organize!
I would remove makeup from the bathroom cause it seems like that's where you put it. Humidity destroys your products. Especially powders.
Absolutely loving your new space! I'm slowly organizing my little studio apartment but I love some of the tips and tricks you were able to use here.
This was fantastic! Ashley looks a bit like Drew Barrymore.
thefunlife THATS WHAT I THOUGHT 😂
In the blended movie as a closet organizer :D Coincidence? Dont think so.
thefunlife omg your right !
Ashley was so sweet and helpful! I honestly live for this stuff. Good job girl!
Ashley is so beautiful
her demeanor is so relaxing
EXO?
chogiwa yay
She reminds me of drew barrymore but I think it's the hair and the vibes haha
Wow she sure is(and aesthetically attractive too) but.. Rhetorical question: How can someone be so chill, sentient and vibrant simultaneously. She's clearly allowed herself to attain a high range of nurturing attitudes somewhere along her life.
Your new home has such open warmth and a sense of welcoming, just like you! Great job!
Michelle because of you I am dieting and trying to lose 41 lbs. Thanks Michelle!
Ashley’s energy and vibe is so calming!
Organizing really is more a matter of knowing yourself. "Do I love this?" or "Will I use this?" should be your main two questions throughout the process. When it comes down to it, either you want something for sentimentality or you need it for necessity.
8:21 wait people don’t always take there shoes off? Here in (south) england we always do
in south africa its uncommon, very uncommon at least in one of the well known capitals i was born and am living in
I mean we do that in India, but I live in South Africa. but either way we still do
In germany you have to take your shoes off:D
hey michelle, just wanted to say that i really enjoy your videos and im glad i subbed.
You know uniform real hangers will make you closet look so much better! Its a must for your own place!
I do this once a week. It keeps me sane. Although, it's usually my husband and kids's things that I'm giving away though LOL. 😂
She's basically doing what my sister did with me when we were kids. As I've always struggled with throwing stuff out. Thanks sis.
Girlllll love your videos lately
Beebo! At The Disco I know right she's revamped everything and I love it!

I love you so much you’re such a good listener and take to mind everything that everyone says
I’ve been putting off organizing my closet until I’m through with this year of school. I think I am ready after this video, I’m so excited to see my closet floor
This couldn’t have come at a better time, I’m literally moving tomorrow
Erin Kelly yasssz!!!!!!!
I'm literally listen to this video in my closet .... It did get inspired me to clean and move things that I don't longer use or give it to someone lol . Thanks Michelle for sharing
You’ve got a Shego thing goin’ on with that outfit! It’s cool!
Tricky Peebs I thought the same haha!
Exactly my thinking
I love this! Organizing is addicting. It feels good to let go of things I don't use (selling or donating) so others can enjoy it.
I really liked this video.
Inés G. Gao me too
I'm pretty on point with organization skills.
*looks around room* eh Ill get to it some day
So easy & simple yet life-changing! A cluttered room means a cluttered mind!
Can we talk about how much listerine Michelle has 😂👌🏻
hahahaha truth.
Prepared for life 🤣
4:18 U can really see the organiser's confidence in the way she .... well, is! I mean, this moment specifically. This little dance move shows a lot of confidence, wow
Wooo!!! So inspired by miss Ashley Moon with Creatively Neat. Yass Queen
Wow what Ahsley does sounds like a heavenly job. Like genuinely. Sign me uuuup
Love the videos you've been putting out keep it up Michelle!!
Ashley seems like a very nice and positive person!
Thank you for this video! I just moved to LA (OMG) and am learning so much from this
Omg! I've organized my friends' stuff before and have shown them almost every tip that's on this video! 😂 I should work with this lady, it just comes out natural to me!
Love your videos so happy this one was posted today my internet is cut tomorrow cause I move at the end of the month!
I found this channel two days ago, by far my favorite channel ❤️👌🏿
Oooooo I love cleaning my room! Going through old stuff and throwing things out and donating! An empty room is a clean room 😂 (not necessarily)
I loved this. I’m inspired. I just cleaned all of my bathroom drawers and organized my closet. It did wonders
