Right but the real question is, how do you even get the plans to craft a rifle in the first place? I have been playing this game for 3 days now and I can't seem to find plans for anything useful. Just keep getting plans for CAMP aesthetics.
I am level 38 and I was just roaming around today. I see a level 548. They showed me the gift emote and drops something. And it was the fixer. I couldnt believe it. Thank you, cindidecouta !
Forgotten feature is the sneak bonus, harder to detect, which is connected to the Fixxer. Running AA or Bloodied as daily drivers with bullets explode for damage a
Or ffr in close quarters where you don't want to be detected.
It`s my go to weapon for 90 percent of game play. I have them in Bloodied, Anti Armor, Quad and Two Shot. Bloodied and Quad are my favorites.
Ive got an Anti Armor Explosive with 90% reduced weight and its fantastic for my explosive commando build
I've been trying to roll one of those for FAR to long. 🤣
I've got an explosive with weight reduction, but the other star is target damage reduction. Sigh...
I got AA+EXP, but still thinking about Blood+exp. It could be better
I have this combo also and I love it. It's my first time running a commando build and it's perfect for it.
I got the anti armor as well and then with the pre installed magazine with 40% ignoring armor it ignores a total of 90% armor which is insane if you think about it
I got a quad with plus 50 crit damage and invisibility
The fixer is an amazing all around rifle with decent output. Personally I use the vampire legendary on mine ...it's seriously effective when running into groups of enemies ...but really ANY variety is a must have in your arsenal
When I'm solo I use my vampire explosive fixer but in team I use my Q50 fixer
The reflex sight balances out the fixer perfectly I've noticed a better performance especially in vats.
I run with a quad, explosive with 25% lower vats cost. I got it for a steal at a vendor for $6k caps. Works wonders at events like guided meditation, moonshine jamboree and eviction notice. If I could ever roll a duplicate, I would absolutely use the ultracite ammo.

sorta new to the game. tried it out at launch and hated there were no npc's. but back and lovin it now. i play on PC and can't wait until i can afford a fixer. great vid ( gave a like and a sub )

I swooped from fixer to handmades a while back but after watching this I might have to dig them back out again!
No problem pal! It’s a tough choice, I think if you are a vats player use the fixer but if you like to run around aiming then handmade for me

Amazing rifle that suits a couple builds. Got it at level 45 and still use it at 225
If you use TsE on a Fixer or Handmade, you should Mod them for accuracy, meaning true attachments plus a long scope. The TsE is the most ammo efficient in terms of time to kill, but you should compensate for the accuracy debuff.
I have reached a point in the game where damage is easy to come by (specially when you main a Q rail). That being said, my daily and basically "everything other than bosses" weapon is a V2525R with a quick mag. Speed demon, ground pounder, 15R and a quick magazine make reloads almost inatant. Really fun to use as a bloody unyi commando. Swift works too but and is probably better for my specific setup but I really enjoy the fastest reloads possible. Give it a try 😉
I run a bloodied commando crit monster build with a anti-armor, faster fire rate Fixer but I use the auto .38 receiver. It’s underrated AF for daily use and I turned my nose up on the auto .38 receiver for the longest time. I will never run out of ammo and I 1-2 shot most enemies during my events and rare item runs.
mine is a "Two Shot/Explosive/Steadfast", and I prefer it with the "Stinging Mag". with a few "Comando" perks it goes to 78x2 damage.
I have a two shot lvl 30 and I’m only getting 28 x 2 damage

My favorite weapon i always carry two fixers bloodied explosive 15 critical fill and quad 25 faster fire rate 15 critical fill .
I run a quad auto receiver it gets lower hit points than the piercing magazine, but I make up for it with 80 rounds of ammo too.
I am a heavy gunner PA user, all weapons are Vamp and esplosive when possiable. But I carry a explosive, vamp, lt weight fixer for those times I am out of PA and dont want to run around with my .50 cal out. Have it set up for damage instead of stealth since I am a PA user, and dont use stealth.

Limb breaker is great, perhaps a little underated
I have a Fixer with +50% Armor Penetration, +50% Limb Damage, +50% Damage Resistance While Aiming. Regular health setup. I haven't gotten any mutations yet. Lvl 140. Concentrated Fire perk helps so i can get limb damage. I didn't like it automatic so i went with Hardened, Aligned stock instead of forceful stock, otherwise mod picks were the same.
I'm 6 months late to the party but I was lvl 35 and got the plan from completing the quest where you rescue the reporter from the blood raider gang. May have just been random, but fyi in case it helps anyone.
Met a super high level today who not only gave me the Fixer plans so i can craft it myself but also gave me a 2 shot explosive fixer XD. The whole public team i joined actually just showered me with gifts for no real reason than to be nice. Only problem i have with it is that the recoil is SUPER high for an automatic. Like 2 shots and i am aiming into the stratosphere. Other than that it's pretty good.
The fixer has bad recoil and is better for vats. if you want free aim you need the handmade rifle.
The day I decided I wanted to make a commando build I opened 4 mutated party packs and in one was the plan for the fixer. What luck

My friend got the plan by pure luck first time she played the event and I helped her do the sheepquatch quest line and despite doing that event every time it pops up for about a year I never got it, until I found a vendor selling multiple plans of it for cheap

Tweaked automatic receiver is best if you have a crit build. If the second or third star is a crit enhancer you might want to go with that. Obviously this is only for vats users.
Would a level 50 fixer without any legendary mods on them be any good?

According to the Wiki it has a chance of dropping from events in the forest region
my daily driver is a b50crit 25. at hard events i change it up to the b2525. on explosive i use a be25. and qe25. but i use a diffrent mag. i use the stinging mag.

If you use VATS only, no need for the reticle. If you want more VATS accuracy, use the long scope, especially paired with -150% hip fire recoil, you’re chillin.

Fixers can’t be scraped from what I recall. Only can scrap combats for mods.

When I scrap the combat rifle it doesn’t give me mods anymore, but I still don’t have the powerful auto reciever

Someone pls explain to me Why bloodied builds dont die often with their Health so low. Doesnt it take just one overlooked enemy shooting them in the Back?
Does Anti-Armor and Perforating Magazine stack -- would it equate to 90% ARP? If not, what's the cap?

I think I used the fixer for 600 levels and I just recently switched to a QE handmade.
I stopped using it for a bit just to mix up my game, love the handmade, much better weapon to use outside of VATS with the lower recoil
I’m completed the Encryptide event twice without finishing the quests and I haven’t received the fixed plans.
U have to finish the quest lowe down for it to drop the plan. But it rare i think
I've tried that build with blodied and otherwise, I really don't recommend it for anything else but clearing WestTek or PvP. You will struggle everywhere else. You can't take damage, you cant solo daily Ops, you can't solo about anything without dying miserably and using a shitload of stimpaks. Switched back to PA and Heavy weapons like the .50 cal with no reliance on pipboy, clearing WestTek in under 2 minutes, soloing daily ops and about everything else. Even the Queen doesn't pose any challenge.
To u lock mods foe the fixer you should scrap combat rifles as u find them as they share mod unlcoks because u can't scrap fixers for some reason
I probably choose Bloodie, Faster Fire Rate and Fast Reload legendary effect for the fixer
This is probably a really dumb and noob question, but how do you show the percentages at the bottom when looking at Mod's? Mine just shows up arrows or down arrows. (I'm playing on PC.)
Go in to your display settings mate it should be there
I had my fixer and it used .45 using ultricice and I changed it. I messed up. I can't get it back... it just uses reg 45

I just recently rolled an Anti Armor, 50% crit dmg and -25% AP and it's absolutely devastating
I got anti armour, explosive bullets and 25%+ damage with mutations today, probably my best roll so far
I got anti armor, 50% and movement speed on mine for my FIRST ROLL EVER IN THE GAME 😭
What do the letters before the name of the gun mean?

Not bloodied. My Fixer is quad, ffr, 90 weight reduced. The ultracite is anti armor, explosive 90 reduced.

I have 3 anti armor ex 25 and a junkies ex breaks 50% slower and a anti armor 50% more crit damage 25% less AP cost so yeah I'm good.
Don't know if anyone will see this post or not but Ima ask anyways. I just got my first legendary weapon and it had +% Crit Damage/Armor Pen. My question is if I mod the gun with another 40% armor pen does it stack or no? Ty in advance.
If you mean the legendary prefix then no sadly not and if you try another legendary prefix it will wipe it and randomise another variation

Angry Turtle doesnt use scope for fixer, at least not that ik of as it increases AP cost in vats iirc (or just doesnt reduce it like reflex does) and is annoying to use outside of vats

How does semi auto compare to auto damage wise?
All depends on your build as semi auto classes as a rifle so needs rifleman perks where as the auto needs commando perks
@@DTDGamer I understand the commando vs rifleman perks need to be equip, I'm just curious about the difference in overall damage output in terms of holding down the trigger in auto vs hitting fire really fast in semi-auto. Semi-auto receivers list higher damage when you switch to them, but the speed of auto may compensate for the DPS. Most people run the Fixer in auto/Commando, but I don't see anyone with a good comparison video of the overall damage output between the two: "holding fire in auto vs pressing fire really fast in semi-auto". Hope that makes sense.
You don't have to complete the quest line. I haven't done it yet but I have the plans learned.

Im using a railway right now but i have a Q/20%E/+15VCC fixer and a Q/+50%V/50%WBS fixer in my vendor

thats a legendary effect so you will need to find one with the second star being explosive :)

You cannot scrap Fixers. Crafting a bunch of them is a waste of resources. Scrapping combat rifles will unlock both combat and fixer mods.
I wasted all my junk on fixes and now I can't scrap them help please 😅

I have a mutant slayer's 25/15 I purely use for west tek farming haha, stupidly strong.
Never using the fixer again weapon is an over rated, grindy, anmo guzzler. This video was nice nonetheless though.
BRO WHAT!! You just summed up this whole week,A high level player dropped a really good one for me when I started 3 weeks ago and it’s been nothing but grinding for .45 ammo. It got to the point I have to go into events and legit just shoot one bullet to every enemy I see and let everyone else wipe them and it’s worked I’ve racked up close to 3k but hopefully I find a new main to use cuz this ain’t it chief. 🤣
It has to be a specific roll for a very niche' build.
It’s good for a stealth build, it does eat ammo though. I used it from level 30-110 then switched to a melee build so I never need ammo again
Just do daily ops u get 1000 bullets + and they only take 7 minutes also have no cd

The "tik tik tik" Fixer noise annoys the hell out of me at events, almost as much as the Nuka Launcher.
I just built my first lvl 50 fixer after finding the plan at a players shop and did a 3 star roll and got bloodied, explosive, faster reload

I stopped using my explosive fixer; can’t be really stealthy when you have explosions going off alerting everyone.
I am bloodied stealth commando build with Q/E/FR and AA/E/25AP. As long as you have perk cards set up correctly explosive bullets shouldn't hinder you at all. Something isnt working with your build.
If you play unyelding Armor set you don't need stealth perk card cause with 36+ agility you have reached the max stealth you can have because there is a cap , i tried it weeks ago without stealth perks and it change nothing, so you can play without stealth perk as long you have 36+ agility.

Don’t craft fixers to dismantle them, just made 10 to dismantle and you can’t actually dismantle them 😢

Bit harsh. Never reject an opportunity to learn something, even if all you learn is that you have nothing further to learn.
I've been using a fixer for a while, but I'm definitely not a "L33t Pro-Gaemer," so I like to watch this sort of video to teach me what I could improve and what I'm doing right.
The scopes in particular confused me. I was using a red dot for ages, but switched to a long scope yesterday to see if that was a benefit.. Turns out it probably wasn't for my build. 🤣
We are in a quiet patch atm but that gives me time to make videos like this which I enjoy 😊
Why make a video about the fixer if you don't know what you're talking about?
Please don't make your fixer like this, it's horrendous.
Prime only adds 1 damage. Use tweaked auto for a huge crit damage boost. Aligned stock to reduce AP cost, this gun is made for vats crits so build it for minimal ap cost and maximum crit damage.
Q is king, AA Currently additive so amazing on a fixer, but B is ofcourse great. Any other main prefix is kind of meh.

Exept is right , do a guidé but without knoweldge of what are you talking is non sens . Like too often content creator say too many mistake , a guidé need To be correct cause some people who watch your content do mistakei if you do mistake it's a pure logical. And when some people know better than you just accept you mistake before saying is better than the community with ironic cause yes some people are way smarter than others.
Not at all, I'm average at best. But this really is not good, and when you have a large platform and you're advising people to use a build thats not even sub-optimal, it's just plain bad, that's not a good thing. There's a very good reason people use the reflex, aligned stock etc, to have minimal AP cost. Not stock that increases bash damage.. Prime is bad because why have 1 extra damage point for a more resource heavy ammo type when you can do 50% more crit damage with a gun that's best used in VATs. It's literally designed for VATs crit and stealth builds, its recoil outside of VATs is awful. I'm sorry but when they have recently added the detailed stats to the build menu there's really no excuse for it@@DTDGamer
I didn’t recommend the prime receiver, if you watched the video I recommended the powerful auto receiver and only mentioned the prime for those who want to maximise DMG to its max potential.
@@AngelCakeTomalso the reason for the stock was for weapon durability as it is the best in its class and lots complain about weapons breaking, on that I also mentioned if you aren’t bothered about the weapon breaking use the aligned stock for more benefits on accuracy etc. please watch and listen before coming at me
