Thank you for all of your kind comments! It's taken a lot of work to get to this point and we're not out of the mud yet! I've got a very busy summer ahead, and so videos will continue to be a little sparse until September. By which point, we'll begin to implement these plans and GET. BACK. ON. IT. If you want to do your bit to help, purchasing products from my store, supporting me on Patreon, or getting us something from my Amazon wishlist are all great ways to do so. Relevant links are in the description above. Love you all ❤
You must be rich. Do you own that place or are you renting it? Renting something like that here in New York State, usa, would be 3 to 5k per month. Whats rent like in the Motherland?
Me an my dad did this when refitting his workshop, we also grabbed one of those low power magnet sheets, you know the big ones that fridge magnets are made out of. It mad cleaning it out much easier, tho you could probably do the same with a few rare earth ones on strips
What a fun video, Matt. Great to see you and Rob together again too. The workshop is looking bloody fantastic and genuinely, if I lived closer, I’d come and work for free to help you get going. In any case, keep up the great work and I have no doubt that the new workshop will encourage you to keep going from strength to strength. All the best.
Mate this is so good! Brilliant piece of work, tight edit, witty scripting. I’ll need to watch it again with the sound on, obvs, but a fantastic space and excellent Malteser-geezer gag! 🙌👍
The joy and passion that comes through in every one of your videos is wonderful and I appreciate it greatly. Definitely going to get some merch, would love to see what you do next.

As always, what a pleasure to watch your content Matt. Thank you to bring us on your journey through those interesting, fun and so well done videos. The new/old filming background feels like welcome fan service and is such a nice idea!
Wow, last time I checked you were making boxes in shed in your backyard, then you were buying a van and now, it seems you won the lottery or something!! That's amazing!
Hi Matt, i just wanted to say thank you for your sharpening videos. I have followed your guidance step by step and had fantastic results! I’d spent a whole load of time with the Tormek and never really achieved anywhere near the edges I’m now getting with your guidance. Cheers for the wonderful videos Allan
Matt, Mike Rowe would be proud of you, a young man finding success in the trades. I have followed your videos on sharpening, planing, sawing etc. and finding success. You are my go-to guy for woodworking. And BTW, thanks for showing us your shop. Now my own seems like a turd.
Matt, that's one hell of a workshop you have there mate. Well layed out too. Anyone working or learning in that environment under your tuition is in for one heck of a treat that's going to be an absolute pleasure. Cheers mate and Good luck. Les.
Great video. Awesome looking shop. Having watched your stuff for years really chuffed for all your success and wish you the best for all the new ventures
Love the video , editing and as always it is great to see the chemistry !!! And other than that "minor" upgrade.... That is a Global Woodworking Shop. looking forward for the new content with the "old" spirit!
I love your channel and have learned a great deal from you. Thank you for teaching me how to sharpen a planer and setup a planer and use a planer. Game changer!
2:09 Now thats a good idea. Only found one local timber yard that project packs but they are just blankets of wood. I still need to cut which is good but this idea of already cut is also good.
Wow! That looks like the workshop of my dreams. I so envy you for that. I probably not envy you for all the hard work that went into it and all the previous steps you had to go through to get to this point ;) I really hope it all pays off and works out the way you planned it! Looking forward to all the stuff you make in there!
Haha my skills have very much deteriorated over the past year having done nothing but try to find a new workshop and build a van. So that's not a bad backup idea to be honest!
@4:00 damn you Matt, that made me laugh out loud way more then it should 😂 The shop looks F-in amazing by the way! So jealous. Not on the debt part, but shop part yeah!
Awesome shop(s) and plan! I got some great ideas for my own shop renovation while watching. Hold on a minute, I need to try out the malt ball trick... I was glad to see this latest installment, I've been missing you and your adventures. Keep up the good work!
Impressive stuff. I have to figure out how to fit out my 200ft² workshop. I'm very jealous of that space but also in awe of how much work must have gone into it.
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love this space, but I very much envy you only needing to figure out how to fit 200ft of space as opposed to 2000. What a nightmare haha
This video was a tonne of work and it totally was worth it, well done. If I was on your side of the world I'd be standing in front of one those workbenches already 😆 👍👍
@@MattEstlea hah, true that, I need to find the English equivalent of Timbecon and see if they'll fly me over 😄 fyi, the cabinet you and the WoodDust gang built now hangs proudly in my workshop, love it. 😍
Its been great to follow your journey Matt and a joy to watch your videos. Always inspiring and I admire your imagination to keep coming up with great ideas and sharing your knowledge. Well done. One Handed Maker - Australia
Look forward to the future content. Where did you get the funds to rent or buy such a big space? TH-cam funds or woodworking? Or both? All the best mate
Hey Matt, you don't know me from shit but I have followed you from day one and am so impressed with your growth. If you had mates do the video for this one they are pro's it is as good as it gets if you paid someone use them again!. i will certainly be buying some of your products to support your business you deserve it. Cheers T
Thank you! Apart from the filming, everything else was done by me. Which is also the reason I need to figure out hiring because I spend more time making a video look cool than I do making projects!
Wow matt its looking good your new workshop. I hope it makes your youtube chanel bigger and I can wait to see your new video. Well done matt keep up the hard work. 🎉
ROB...ROB...ROB...Dude, I have missed seeing you, and I pray all is well with you. Of course it’s also nice to Matt 😬😬 Congratulations on the new workshop and the setup looks very promising. I wish you Godspeed on this endeavor. I do have one request though: more ROB.......
Congratulations for moving in and creating this new workshop! Glad to have you back here. How many Maltersers did you knock of the tape measures while trying to roll them down? :-p
Hey Matt, Very cool video! Your new workshop looks really cool. Good luck in your new projects and may you overcome all challenges! Hugs from Brazil. Ateliê do Alê, I'm a hobbyist woodworker who follows your channel. Regards
You liked a comment about Bridge City on one of the Facebook woodworking pages so I’m subscribing to the channel. I’ve watched your videos for a while just never got around to hitting the button.
Well done Matt, awesome tour and the workspace looks amazing, very inspirational for me and my small garage goals! I'll order something from your site soon. Was also really nice to meet you at Wood Dust and hope you managed to check out the Lebanese food in Coburg ;-)
Haha if I'm being transparent, this was probably about 40 hours from scripting, filming and editing. Which isn't that bad in comparison to the workshop move video which was 3 solid months in 20 minutes or so... that sucked haha

Looks like a lot of great progress.

You must be rich. Do you own that place or are you renting it? Renting something like that here in New York State, usa, would be 3 to 5k per month. Whats rent like in the Motherland?
also you have everything in that shop but a 3d printer. hmmmmmmm? edit: did i just see a 3d printer?
put a metal grate between the woodworking and machining areas. it'll help keep you from tracking metal shavings into the wood area & vice versa.
Oooo good idea, I'll look into that.

At 4:08 you have your metal working files stored on a magnetic rack. Eventually the file will become magnetic and the filings will stick to the file.

Too late now! It's actually not too bad pitch to be honest. Much better than the old workshop!
