I love that Sam Esmail the creator admitted he was inspired by Fight Club. So many writers and such steal ideas and claim it was a coincidence. This is a totally different story with certain similarities so nothing wrong with that. This scene is such a great scene and a beautiful homage to it's inspiration. Also Sam Esmail is not only so fucking talented but he is married to Emmy Rossum. He is the man!

When the music started the first I saw this I was like YES! It IS the sequel to fight club EDIT: The series of course became much more than a spiritual sequel to fight club. This is truly a series that could not have been made at any other point in history. Its niche appeal also makes almost certain that it can't be ruined for those unaware. Give it a watch if you like thought provoking television. You won't be disappointed.

Season 1 Episode 9 is still my favourite. As someone who's never seen Fight Club, the twist blew me away. The fact they throw you off by having Mr Robot be his father the episode before makes you not expect another even bigger twist the very next episode. This show is like The Matrix had a baby with Fight Club and this came out. So in love with this show, just watched it a second time after a year when it finished. I can watch it all day nonstop, so inspiring..
At this point of the series, it was so obvious that the whole show was a tribute to Fight Club that hearing the first notes of this song gave me instant goosebumps and made me cry. To me, although the ending was a bit disappointing, this is the best series in a long time. Season 4 especially is insane. I'll always remember the episode which starts with Darlene saying "we don't need to talk", followed by a totally dialog-free episode, ending by Darlene saying "we need to talk". It was so perfectly done that I didn't realize the absence of dialog before the end of the episode when she said that. Brilliant.
All the scenes with Tyrell and Elliot feel like lovers conversations. Just change the scenarios and a few words and you have a literal romance. It's curious that all interactions seems incomplete, is like always is missing some time in the beginning or the end.
Season 1 of Mr. Robot will always be my favourite season of the show. It just hit me at the right time in my life; in fact, it just hits different entirely compared to the rest of the show (which is still all masterful, of course).

16 December, 2023 8.15 am I saw this episode and this ending scene evoked something within me especially after when 'where is my mind' hit the bgm. The pop corn popping at the end conjugated with the whole scene made me feel something inexplicably serene. Probably the best piece of scene ive ever come across in my life and I am a cinephile.

esta escena de mr robot fue increible de ver por primera vez, cuando veo las escenas denuevo es como verlas por primera vez, me encanta la banda sonora, el actor rami malek, todo en esta serie es perfecto salvo que muchos informaticos critican como el hackeo pareciera una especie de juego y que en la vida real no es tan facil pero eso no le quita el encanto a la serie, cualquier persona con una minima nocion de informatica puede verla y disfrutarla

I saw this episode and this ending scene evoked something within me especially after when 'where is my mind' hit the bgm. The pop corn popping at the end conjugated with the whole scene made me feel something inexplicably serene. Probably the best piece of scene ive ever come across in my life and I am a cinephile.
