@Jake Sulzer People often say that. But tbh I would love to see Quentin Tarantino's version. Who would he have casted?
I don't even know what his thoughts about Woody were.
We know Q. Terentino walked out of the cinema because he thought the movie is so bad.
And tbh I get why he did that. He had a completely different vision of that movie so ofc he felt that other destroyed that.
He even hated that his name was on the movie posters.
But Tarantino is the creator of the story. Without him the movie wouldn't exist. So ofc I'm curious what the .ovie would have been like if he also would have directed the movie.

One of the Chagra brothers (the crazy one, don't remember his name) offered $10K to kill this judge, in El Paso, that hated the Banditos, and the marijuana smugglers (my father's crew). The Banditos ended up killing him but had zero interest in the money and didn't do it for the Chagra brother, anyway. But since no one took the money and no one was admitting to the murder, Woody's dad said he did it and got paid the $10k. But then he ended up having to do the time for a crime he really didn't commit.
He did, however, kill many other people, in his life, as he was a contract killer, at the time.

Woody channeled his father's inner evil in him.
