Pesci is about 5 feet tall and comes off like he's 6'4.
Deniro is also short, he wears lifts all the time, he's nothing but a punk
@@rogerdugan7676you’re a punk, your dad’s a punk and his dad before him. You come from a long line of punks, longer than the list of your mother’s boyfriends.
That’s why he was able to portray the gangster who was 6’4 in goodfellas
@@rogerdugan7676I thought older folks were too smart to talk shit on the Internet. I guess having no common sense isn't a trait reserved just for the younger generations.
@@rogerdugan7676Who gives a sht about his height, his one of the greatest actors period so punk my ass.
“Get this through your head you joo mudafucka you”, always gets me 😂
I take it you've heard all the phone calls? "Joe pesci calls a bl'ck guy" is good
Lmfao it's great
Jew*
How I address my banker
"guys maybe we're not seeing heaven because one of us is a JOO" lol
Pesci is so tough that his tires screech in the sand
Lol, I caught that too 😅

Exactly. That always bothered me. Great scene though
Right 😂
It’s a thing, that’s not a beach.
the desert outside vegas is sketchy af
Just like Lake Mead receding, a lot "business" found out there...
Bodies as far as the eye can see. Lots of bones in the sand
Too many radscorpians
I'm from there. We used to go out there at night all the time.
skinwalkers and elemental spirits for sure.
De niros reaction is perfect, he just stands there and in the end takes it bc he knows he’s on very thin ice
He's actually standing on sand
IMO, he is thinking that he's lucky to be alive still and how to get rid of joe pesci's character or at least mitigate the problem. He is also prob thinking about who else he might have to worry about wanting him dead when he let's that dust roll past him. He is playing a very dangerous game with dangerous people. The only way you win a game that he is playing is by being one step ahead and/or very lucky.
“There was nothing we could do, we had to sit there and take it.”
@@hexagonproductions2019it was real greaseball shit
My fav part was the lady at the end going “there’s just something so amazing about Bob’s body language”, meanwhile Bob was standing straight up, and then continued standing straight up, not changing a thing about his body language (jokes tho, I know he gave a great performance)
That shot reflected on the sunglasses, it’s unforgettable.
Leslie Chow.😂😂😂😂
Iconic scene from an iconic movie. The music, the narration, the camera work, body language and acting superbly on point
@@johnkennedy7475one of my favourite shots
The Lancaster CA sheriff in the early 90s would say that if the bodies buried in the desert would all stand at once, you’d have a forest of corpses out there.
Man, imagine you go to dig a hole to bury someone but you end up uncovering a different body
@@CLxJames🤣 that’s a crazy thought!
That’s cold,..
@@CLxJamesdo you just put your body in the hole with them, bury it and dig another hole or just swap the bodies out and leave the old one out of the hole?
@@marlonthomas8042if the cops ever found that hole...it'd throw em for a loop for sure.

❤😂 blessings bro enjoy your life brother
That shot of Pesci hauling ass through the lenses of DeNiro's sunglasses is money in the bank. Feels like a De Palma or Michael Mann type of shot ❤
And how the fuck did he get that shot? that's like a panel out of a comic book
@@heroblok6 honestly I do not know. I find it difficult to believe he used cgi for such a small detail in '95 but it's damn impressive
I think it's a John Woo touch.
@@downunderrob John Woo carried 90's early 00's action movies. Very underrated Director 💯🔥
Actually Martin explains it in the Casino DVD special features. I can't remember every word but he explains where he took the idea from. 🤘👍great movie..
The music is beautiful and compliments the scene perfectly…this is what movies should be…ART.
Yes, such a beautiful music. Created by Georges Delerue. It was the main score of a film by Jean-Luc Godard "Contempt" (Le Mépris)

My favorites are JFK, Nixon, and Natural Born Killers. Those are all feats of editing as well. I’m not an editor but I can tell there was exceptional skill involved.
Ace was more scared of Nicky's friendship with the Shah of Iran than Nicky himself.
For 20 fuckin years he ruled Iran, and not a fuckin peep.

Wait is there a source with more information on this? Seems interesting
Can't wait for those properly draped and full-length suit jackets and wide pants to come back. Looks so much classier than the tight short trend of the past decade...
Boy, you've got that right. I'm tired of seeing suits tighter than sausage casing.
Your not alone there 👌😁
You can absolutely wear that cut today if it fits and you walk with confidence. I've never wavered from classic fit and people like it because my body language says it's right.
I agree. But whatever you wear you gotta wear it with confidence
@@Oceanmachine27
I totally agree.
Grown men wearing skin tight suit pants
look ridiculous...especially if they have skinny legs. 😀
Pesci is very good at playing a scary mofo!
Those are the most Italian looking glasses De Niro is wearing in this scene
He borrowed them from Paul Castelanos.
Deniro's character is actually Jewish not Italian.
I know but those glasses reminded me of my grandpa who was from Italy. He would always wear glasses that looked exactly like those. So would my grandma. Also Italian.
This scene lives rent free in my head
Too many to remember in a great movie 🃏📇
Along with that phrase you poor sap
Easily my favorite Scorsese scene. Joe Pesci is legendary.
Pesci is definitely top 10 actors possibly top 5 OAT. look at him in this then in home alone and even more so lethal weapon , no overlap at all 3 completely different characters
The man is a genius. Every one of his films is an acting masterclass.
From the Scorsese films, to My Cousin Vinny, Home Alone, Gone Fishing.. it’s remarkable how diverse he is.
@percapita1239Pacino is def a great actor
And the Irishman! (:
Pesci is great, but has no range.
He plays gangster and gangster.
You can’t be the GOAT of acting when you play only one note.
“Where the fuck do you get off talking to people about me behind my back going over my head”
“Bob’s body language is just so incredible.”
De Niro: *literally just standing there*
"I am going to keep standing here and make him feel a little sorry for getting dust all over me. It's a small win"
Wimp Lo is that you?
No I'm not Chinese
Pesci is insane. Speaking in that high pitched voice and he.s still threatening af. The car seen in Deniro,s sunglasses is wicked! Scorsese is a frickin expert at this stuff.
He may be insane: But he’s normal compared to Eraser.
What happens to Pesci's character later is terrifying!
Yup .. its sad to think one brother can be held while the other is beat to death.. in real life there were no bats and wasn't in a cornfield, just hands and feet and in a Chicago suburb basement.. Yeah, just good, old-fashioned anti-Semitism 😏
He called him a Jew motherfucker. Not racist. If he had called him a motherfucking Jew, that would be racist.
Scorsese is a genius. Great movie.
Bert and Ernie.
Whats incredible is the screeching noice of tires as if the sand was paved.
One of the very few vertically challenged actors that make you feel like he's a legitimate tough guy.
As Joe stops in front of him, the symmetry of them and the mountains is perfect...
I have to watch this masterpiece again sometime soon 🤜🏿
There's a lot of holes in that desert, & a lot of problems are buried in those holes...
What a great movie! Great scene performed by two acting legends!!!
Why do the tires squeal on dirt?….😂
Because Martin Scorsese says that's what happens in the scene
It’s sand. And yes, tires will squeal on it. Why wouldn’t they? It’s packed hard sand.
@@NotableSavage2😂 NEVER will sand do that. Even packed, hard sand won’t EVER do that. 🤣
@@CleofasRivas-jn9xz Sorry, Clovis. It’s true. They won’t squeal on dirt or gravel but they will on hard desert sand. Pick up the shattered pieces of your life and move on.

Bobs body language is always incredible
I love the score playing when they meet cause before all the music was up tempo cause it was giving the vibe of fun and making money but the orchestra shows that at this point it all was coming to an end .😢
I like the middle of the ocean 🌊
too risky, things tend to wash ashore sooner or later, unfortunately.
Though it worked for Dexter for a while lol.

Much harder to find a body when bugs and hundreds of animals pick it apart and spread it across the country lol.

I just love JP acting a mobster. Casino is one of my favourite movies. I just learn two days ago, from youtube shorts comments that Ray Liotta passed last year. RIP😢. 🇫🇮
I think they should have won some sort of award for their clothes too..omg those suits are perfect!
The amount of times I've said, "you mf you" in my life is staggering
I think its very funny how they talk to each other.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I like the car peeling away noise it makes on a dirt road, as if it was on asphalt.😂
Joe absolutely amazing piece of work
Incredible how he just stands there 😂😂
This whole scene doesn’t leave my mind. The music, the reflection of Nikki’s car Ace’s sunglasses...perfect cinema
It’s Nicky.. it’s a man not a woman …
Only Joe Pesci could squeal to a stop on desert sand and peel out squealing again on sand.
My dad was a car guy. We used to watch Mannix or Rockford Files and a car would accelerate on sand and sound like it would be squealing like tires on asphalt he would say " That doesn't happen on a beach !! "
I swear pesci voice can be a intro to any rap song lol
The car and dust in the sunglasses reflection is pure cinematic genius
One of the greatest scenes it’s filmed perfectly
Pesci and DeNiro are the real dynamic duo in this film
100% correct 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
The sound of tires screeching on sand 😂😂
Everything about this scene is golden. DeNiros narration, the car shining across the glasses, their interaction, Pesci’s threats and vulgarity and just the way he doesn’t let DeNiro get the best of him. All masterfully done.
Nicky: "You only exist out here because of me. I'm what counts"
Remo, thirteen years ago: "Nicky, he's making a lot of money for us, keep a good eye on him"
Bingo. That's why Nicky ends up in a hole, he was always just the muscle, Rothstein was the earner. Not too smart either, and a poor listener.
Man....after joe got done cussing me like that....I would've fainted into my own puddle of piss💯💯💯
The hidden peeling off in the sand always crack me up
I always thought the sunglasses shot with the car going across throwing up dust was a masterpiece.
You know he means business when he peels out in dirt.
Classic movie
This is my favourite scene in the movie. The dialogue and the way they performed it was superb.
The squeeling of tires as he peels away.... it's been forgiven long ago. Great movie.
Best scene in the movie
"You only exist out here because of me!"
He says, to a guy who was established in Vegas long before Nicky even considered moving there. Dude is completely delusional.
But he’s in and Rothstein wasn’t. He literally had to take it.
@@aaronposter6852I think nicky was still scared of the bosses back home, which is why he went crazy at ace for going to them, so I doubt he would have killed ace, the boss's biggest earner. Nicky wouldn't last a day if he killed him and I think ace knows this or he wouldn't have met him in the desert.
One of the greatest scenes ever shot. Genuis cinematography!
Great. Now I have to go watch this movie again lol
Tyres screeching on sand?
Yes all the time depends on the minerals and how compacted
Hardened dirt can be like concrete.
This entire movie is close to 100% reality,or as close as anyone has ever made to date .
Thank you,Marty,Bob,Joe,Sharon and the entire cast . IMHO this is one of the GOAT of all time .
Reality is Rosenthal was a Confidential Informant to the Feds and Allan Glick the President of the Casino testified against everybody. He died a couple years ago, with a net worth of $600 million. I think the Kosher Nostra used the Feds to kick the Italian mafia out of their casino.
That was 1 of my favorite scenes in Casino, Joe Pesci was hilarious in this movie & this scene especially!😂😂😂
" You mutha fucka you! "
Best " goodbye " ever!
The narrative by Denero leading up to this and throughout the movie ‘makes it’
Top 10 movie of all time.
This scene is why I say “you mother fucker you” don’t in most altercations
Love the shot of the car passing on the sun glasses
Apparently, that scene wasn't in the script. Pesci just got pissed at Denero and Scorsese filmed it.
" Never meet anybody in the desert, who asks you to bring a shovel ".
Yup.
They’ll make you do all of the digging.
And once you’re done-they’ll take an equal cut of the treasure.
Just another love and hate friendship.
The cinematography of the wide shot in this scene reminds me of David Lean's "Lawrence of Arabia" where they have the wide shot of Lawrence with the rescued Harith on their camel being greeted by his servant boy galloping towards them on camelback.
Scorsese was a big fan of David Lean
"There's just something about Bob's body language that's so incredible"
She never seen anyone stand upright before.
Two fun things I love about this scene. First, when he takes off you hear the tires squeal like the car is on pavement. Also the edited “made for TV version” has a great replacement line for “Jew Mother F’er”. It’s just as offensive if not worse. Look it up. Lol
Jew money grubber you
“Look it up” nah I don’t think anyone’s gonna do that
@mr.doctorcaptain1124
He says "Jew Money Lover" in the edited version. OP is just being an idiot by not saying it here.
Was that so bad that you couldn't say it?
Personally, I really like the JMF line😂
I love how the car makes a "skirt" sound when peeling off on sand😂
The tires peel out hard on that sand bro
what body language is she talking about, "Bob" is literally just standing there? is it the LACK of body language she's referring too?
or is it just baseless celebrity praise
On one hand I agree with you, but on the other hand your observation is possibly why you're not editing a string of stone cold legendary classics.
Unless you're Thelma Schoonmaker of course 😂
Damn that’s verbatim what i said in my head “baseless praise”. I get he couldn’t do anything violent to him. But it wasn’t like cool to just stand in the dust cloud 🤣 . If you go reenact that scenario you would just be coughing and your suit would be dirty af.
*it’s cool for the movie it! I loved it in the movie! Hearing her preach about the body language like it’s something special when it isn’t is hilarious though
It's all about subtlety. De Niro demonstrates wonderful restraint here. Clearly, his character lets Pesci go for the over the top. The resulting contrast in body language is actually quite compelling. Ya mudafucker.
duhhh using your body, even to remain still, is body language. wow - you don't comprehend that? holy!

One of my favorite scenes.
I especially love the wheels screeching on sand. Gotta love it.

Asphalt skidding sound effects on sand and dirt, though 😂
Beautiful attire. The design of MrPesci’s shirt collar is fantastic and that silk jacket on MrDeniro ...oh my.🧡
It's hilarious as he peels away from the car. You can hear the tires squealing on sand LMAO.
This is probably one of the most amazing scenes ever
Rubber screeching on sand, love it.
The shot of the car driving through his glasses and kicking up dust is just perfect.
Unlikely to see such great movies made ever again
One of the best scenes. Nicky threatening the banker is great too :)
"..and WTF YOU DOING ON TV ANYWAY?!!" 😂😂
As good as Pesci was in "Goodfellas", I always thought that his performance as Nicky Santoro was even better. His actions, mannerisms and physical resemblance to Tony "The Ant" Spilotro is dead-on here. Simply brilliant masterclass in acting.
it's a beautiful scene
Joe Pesci has such a fine art with his words and scenes in the movie he will live on long after his time in the movies. The tone & mannerisms which he uses is priceless on point & Martin Scorsese knows how to focus it into the perfect scene
My favorite line
“Over my head behind my back”
The look over the shoulder with that much space everywhere lol
The shot of pesci's car going across bob's glasses is chefs kiss. Fantastic scene.
He didn't mention the tyre squeak as pesci pulled up lol
