  • Sign phrases to help you seek clarification if you have trouble understanding when a Deaf person is communicating with you.
    Phrases covered in the video:
    Again, please?
    What?
    Sorry
    I don't understand!
    Sign what?
    Slower, please?
**NOTE: I speak in my videos to help hearing people watching to learn the signs. However, when you sign, you should turn your voice OFF.**

I'm loving your videos, I'm a complete beginner in BSL and it's difficult to learn by yourself but your videos have really helped, you explain everything really clearly so thank you 😊

I LOVE your videos. My daughter and I are learning BSL (Level 1) currently and your videos are closest to what our tutor is showing us, especially with the numbers.
Although it may be a bit annoying, it would be amazing to also have individual words. I can't always find a particular sign. For example, we learned 'medium' as it relates to colours but I forgot it and can't find the sign that is similar to what we learned easily without wading through videos of lots of signs.
Thanks again for being so patient and clear with your signs with good explanations (and the voice-off reminder is helpful as I do forget 🤪) .

I’ve really been enjoying your videos they are very well explained rather than just watch and repeat. I’d love to see a video with a simple conversation or I’d like to know some different verbs. Also how do you say something happened in the past.

Thank you so much for your feedback @Jim Munro! I really appreciate it. Great ideas for future videos. I intend to make a video about timelines in BSL, and this can address past, present and future. A video with a simple conversation is a great idea too! Thanks.

With BSL, does it matter what hands you use? For “Sorry,” you said that you must do it anti-clockwise, but does it matter which hand you use?

As far as I am aware you use your dominant hand for the main action of the sign
