Btw, have anyone notice how annoying is to see two different top bar sizes when use dual screen, because of this notch. This was driving me crazy
I appreciate this type of video, no fluff, just raw user experience, this is the ideal tech review, its good to have anecdotes and biases that tell me what it feels like to use something rather than "heres the specs, and a shallow overview".
The same reason I will never buy their desktops (Mac Mini, Mac Studio) - you can’t upgrade (nor clean) the components, at least with the MacBook Pro, you can take off the lid and blow the fans (sorta easily), not with Mac Studio. And you are damn right about the notch, that is just stupid.

I enjoyed the video on my 16'' M1 Pro :)
oh my. I knew you guys were better at MACOS. I'll give it a shot next time. thanks.
I never go to the office with a charging brick. I never need one!
Removing the Touch Bar is the biggest reason why I am still using 2020 mb pro M1
Why can’t we have both?
I recently got my M3 Pro and I'm really happy with it.
Please never stop making video reviews like this!
As long as you keep commenting. I won’t stop. 🤜
$2k is not worth it for all this hustle
What hustle?
Love your humour! And you're absolutey right about the pros and cons. It's important that you name it.
I have a 2TB - 64RAM and it is still A BEAST!!!
2 gb bro
2 tb both of yall, lool
@ia6980 😂
@javascriptes finally you edited your original comment from 2 GB to 2 TB
@@ia6980 finally
You can hide the notch changing the resolution of the screen on the settings, it’s around 50px less vertical screen, but you get rid of this design mistake and gain horizontal space on the top bar.
Btw, have anyone notice how annoying is to see two different top bar sizes when use dual screen, because of this notch. This was driving me crazy
Got mine for 310€ - M1 MAX 32GB 1TB with broken screen but work fine with an 3440x1440 Monitor
It’s bizarre going from the Intel days of “every year I can get a faster machine” to the M series days of “meh, my M1 is still great”
I bought an M1 MacBook Pro since 2021 and feels like to I bought it today,
Will use it for many years coming
This is the only video that could make me want a macbook
😂 only place in tech I feel Apple is ahead. Wait till snapdragon 8 elite drops. Hope developers take notice of it.
I appreciate this type of video, no fluff, just raw user experience, this is the ideal tech review, its good to have anecdotes and biases that tell me what it feels like to use something rather than "heres the specs, and a shallow overview".
I'm actually just gonna replace the battery in my M1 Pro 16 when it comes time to get a new computer. It's already so powerful
From monetary point of view is still a good deal
For anyone who's on the budget but still want to get a Mac.
I just bought a macbook pro 16 m1pro for $1500, and it works very well and has a very long battery life, my needs are quite basic.
1:55 which app is it for fan cpu and gpu
The same reason I will never buy their desktops (Mac Mini, Mac Studio) - you can’t upgrade (nor clean) the components, at least with the MacBook Pro, you can take off the lid and blow the fans (sorta easily), not with Mac Studio. And you are damn right about the notch, that is just stupid.
the fridge comparison is wild 😂
I will never unterstand people that are prefering a touchpad over a regular mouse
What was the point of the end. For just the task of rendering video a newer gaming pc is a better option than M1 Max at video rendering?
Great overview video! I have a 14" M1 Max MacBook Pro with the same specs you outlined, and I do not have any buyer's remorse. It's the best computer, laptop or desktop, I ever owned. It's just so great, that I can see myself hanging onto it for another several years. I do music production, and also content creation, along with everyday items and other productivity stuff. I may only recommend the M4 MacBook Pro for future-proofing, especially with Thunderbolt 5. But since Thunderbolt 3 and 4 are still widely used, can't go wrong if one can find a refurb. Thanks!
I initially started with the 14inch and M1 Max, but wasn't too happy with battery due to the beast m1 max. So I changed with 16. I miss the portability though!
@ the batttery is okay, and the 16 inch is much better fir sure. But, I could not get over so much power and performance in such a small form factor. Glad you made the right choice for you!
@@velanche Yeah, I might go for a 14 inch M1 Pro sometime down the line for just portable light work. Or maybe even the M4 Macbook Air if that comes.
Window hello is 2D face recognition not 3D and thus not as secure as FaceId, but FaceId in its current state needs more space than what is in the lead of our Macs
Maybe early generation ones, today windows hello use infrared for 3d mapping so pictures can’t spoof it.
The MKBHD reference convinced me xD
Remove Chrome and you'll see your MacBook doing so much better than that.
I've wanted that 16inch M1 Max for a while now, hopefully Black Friday
You can now upgrade the storage for m1 Mac books. In fact it can be removable just like a normal laptop or older MacBooks.
No you can't. They're soldered in. The only way to do it is if you have the technical know-how, and have soldering skills
Hardcore Windows user who switched to the 16" M1 Max 64GB 2TB MacBook Pro here. I have never owned a computer that made me lose interest in upgrading or switching.until this machine. That being said, MacOS is as atrocious as Windows 11 is. I miss Windows 10.
Watching on M1 Mac Pro. Best investment of my life.
