I think the best thing about this for me is that after everything that Kat has gone through with this franchise over the years , he was our best player in our first game 7 since KG 20 years ago
yup. started watching wolves in 2015 cause of kat, those post fade and beatiful 3pt jumpshot. he finally shook off that playoff pressure, not only that he carried over his 50/40/90 20+ potential and then the defense
We gotta put some respect on Kat name now … he in the perfect situation and he’s capitalizing within it
KAT definitely deserves all the flowers this year. He changed his game to gel the team. When he got injured and Wolves started clicking, people wanted to bench him. A lot of Wolves felt that we would be ok. People definitely know why we NEEDED KAT now.

Once I saw that rudy jumper I knew it was over
This was truly the first season where we could see the definitive ending of an era. No LeBron, no Curry, no KD, Russ, Harden, Kawhi, PG13, CP3. Not even Giannis and Embiid in it past the first round. And the young guys are truly shining and giving us glimpses of greatness to look forward to in the coming years.
It’s a weird feeling that it’s over. But there’s so much talent that I’m confident the league will be fine.
Glad it's over this newer generation seems a lot more exciting than the last.
I hated that super team era of the 2010s my personal least fav era in basketball.

Idk why people above are hating on the 2010s but, I appreciate the last era, we truly witnessed greatness from all of those guys, we saw the primes of the arguable GOAT, the greatest shooter of all time, youngest ever MVP, 2 dynasties, and way more all in one decade, ending it off with Toronto's first EVER ring and I think we'll appreciate it more as time goes on. Im more than ready for this next era though can't wait to see who these guys develop into

And although I respect all those players the only guy from that generation that really spoke to me was Steph.
For me a fan since the the 90s as a kid, it was the least compelling.
Now I love this new generation Ant, Luka, SGA, Brunson.
These guys got me excited and fully back invested in the NBA.
Like a lot of people the last decade was just a turn off for us.
Not to say those guys weren't great just wasnt feeling em like I did the 90s, 00s, and now 2020s.
@@dontuse10 i dont hate it. I love basketball but the 2010s are my least favorite era. Too many superstars hopping teams in their primes, threw off the balance and competitiveness of the league. Too much load management. By far the most whining at refs...like every play someone complains, that peaked in the 2010s. We saw defense all but vanish and scores get boringly high.
I think prime kawhi, steph, dwade were definitely highlights of that era. Theres no goats coming out of this soft era though.
Wolves fan, suffered through so much hardship from the team in the non-KG years. Nothing like this feeling in sports 😭

Literally the best shot in his entire basketball career and he did it on JOKIC IN THE 4TH IN A CLOSE GAME 7 .
So good seeing a game like this from KAT after everyone wanted him traded, also naz Reid was crucial
As a Lifelong MN Sports fan (Wild Twins Vikings and Wolves fan) it hasn't been tons of sunshine and rainbows around the Twin Cities, and to see the Wolves finally get back to a point of contention, made me excited and ecstatic. The Wolves for the better part of the last 20 years or so have been so bad that it was something that IDK too many people understand. ( I mean the Wolves had one of the if not the worst winning percentages in NBA HISTORY in the late 00's into the 2020's really) that is refreshing and amazing to see. This reminds me of the Raptors run in 2019 to an extent. Regardless of how this ends, I am so grateful for what these boys have done and continue to do. Future is bright for the first time in a HOT minute.

One of the biggest problems with the Wolves offense up until this game was them giving Reid’s minutes to Kyle Anderson. Anderson could not play in this series, and Naz finally got to shine in that second half. Go Wolves

Let me save you some time. All the games between Timberwolves and Mavericks was before the trade deadline. There is only one game where both Luka and Kyrie played together against the Wolves and it was the Jan 7th, 2024 game (Dwight Powell was starting due to injuries).

This series showed how important depth is. Nuggets couldn't keep Bruce Brown who was a HUGE part of their team last year. He brought that energy to the second unit.
