I actually feel bad for the clippers team and front office unlike the suns. The Suns had a young core that was only going to get better and they blew it up. The Clippers got two superstars who were able to make the team great. I fully believe that if Kawhi wouldn’t have gotten hurt they would have won the finals in 2021. The injury fully changed the outcome of the team. The injuries were something that people didn’t see coming.
they were fully healthy in 2020 and still lost. One thing that everyone forgets about the Clippers. Is that they have 3 of the all-time chokers in the NBA. 1. Pandemic P 2. Mr. Dribbler 3. Westbrick. No matter how good they look in the regular season, they will always shrink on the biggest games.
If your best player can’t/won’t play during playoffs there is no way your team can win. Per Reggie Miller this is the 3rd straight year that Kawhi has not been able to play in the playoffs, and don’t forget those games he couldn’t/wouldn’t play while he was in SA. Supposedly injured but went into hiding in NY with his medical team and refused to let the SA medical team examine him. Clippers are banking on wishful thinking.
Is being so disappointing from years and that’s when people always say Clippers Clippers when the team can be better but everything fall on the players not want to win
Imagine giving all that up for Paul George @ 4:48 just to see SGA being better than everyone on that Clippers team now? Plus not letting Terance Mann develop into the star he should be is hurting them boys. He should be where Maxey is at right now on the Sixers.
basically, the Clippers decided to trade away every other year's 1st round pick until 2030. The NBA doesn't allow trading back to back years of 1st round picks, so on the odd years (2025, 2027, 2029) they did "pick swaps". Meaning the team they traded with has the rights to swap 1st's with them if they end up being terrible and having a higher pick.
The Clippers are the peak of buy-high-sell-low. All stars in their mid to late career can demand higher salaries from their proven track record, even when they're on the downswing, and the Clippers keep picking them up.
PG has a player option and therefore cannot be traded without his consent. It’s unlikely that any team will give up anything substantial since he’s essentially a free agent.
I'm not a Clippers fan at all, but here's my take. The quote on the just because the same happened the past 4 years doesn't mean it'll happen next year...what's the definition of insanity? The Clippers can't stay healthy. How the Clippers decided to give Kawhi that ridiculously huge contract for per year salary is beyond me. You shouldn't be giving someone that amount when you can't trust that they'll be healthy when it matters the most. Doesn't matter how good they are in the regular season. If they do resign Paul George and/or James Harden, it cannot be for that high of an annual salary that they were earning. If they want to get that same amount of money, then they can go somewhere else. You can't bow down to the needs of superstars all the time.
I’d try to trade everyone and rebuild . Steve balmer made a mistake giving kawhi that extension last year . Never give players that are extremely injury prone extensions.
Joel embiid ?? As a clippers fan I am so tired of what ifs with a fully healthy Kawhi in all the playoffs runs especially this last one. But he is the only exemption moving into a new arena. We have to keep him.
@@Vortexnicholas I accept our fate. A championship will take some strategic moves for another 2 to 3 seasons. Whatever happens to pg, harden and russ couldn't concern me less. But moving into a new building without an elite superstar like Kawhi is suicidal for steve ballmer busines wise.

When you have no draft picks, you just have to hope your stars stay healthy, injuries happen to your opponents instead of you, and that you get some lucky breaks. It rarely works, but that's all they have.
"only a few weeks later when it was announced they would be trading for [...] Paul George ..." Bruh... that's not how it happened... We were all waiting on the edge of our seats to find out where tf Kawhi would sign between either LA teams and resign with Toronto to run it back. Steve Balmer is the luckiest top 20 billionaire on the planet. He left and the man succeeded him made him ultra mega rich in less than a decade. MS went from 240 billion to 3 trillion.
I find it funny that Paul George said he couldn't focus like that in the bubble but yet Kawhi average 32.5 against Dallas and won, they were up 3-1 against Denver than lost. That man and his excuses is ridiculous smmfh.
Their best chance was the bubble and they blew it in spectacular fashion. That was the healthiest Kawhi was going to be for the rest of his career, and they blew a 3-1 lead. They had a chance. They still would've lost to the Lakers, but at least they would've had a chance and we would've gotten the much hyped Battle of LA.
Clippers will not win any championship as currently constructed. They're just a bad luck team. They went from injury prone Paul and Griffin to injury prone Kawhi and George.
Heck they finally broke through making a conference finals just to miss the playoffs the following year. I mean, they are the only team to blow a 3-1 lead twice which considering what happens to them I wouldn’t be surprised at all if they finally had that next breakthrough of making the Finals just to blow a 3-0 lead and then a 4th quarter 30 point lead (while leading by 40 at the half) in Game 7. That would be as much of a Clipper thing to happen to them as you could possibly get.
I will give him props for leading the Clippers to the Western Conference Finals for the 1st Time since that’s never happened before but yeah this is a Super Team that Can’t Win
As a PG fan he does not deserve the max contract he's waiting for. And the only bright spot the clips have is Bones Hyland. He needs to be considered an option to carry this cursed franchise.
Clipper's have had only 4 healthy playoff series... 3-1 record with that loss being the choke job against nuggets. Ever since 2021, they haven't ONE healthy series
Yes, they get their new stadium, and may not want to rebuild. However, I don’t think they’re actually in a position to make a choice between rebuild or not. They got NOTHING in terms of picks until 2064 and despite maybe George, who would trade for their other aging, overpaid and injury-prone superstars? They’re stuck with what they got, and their only hope is thay everyone will be healthy next post-season and that other younger west-teams (OKC, Wolves) don’t take another step in their improvement.
Mavs also have to be on that list of younger Western teams. Kyrie is the only Starter over 25 & THJ/Maxi are the only Rotation players over 25. Especially when it comes to continuity. This is the first full year of Luka & Kyrie together. Only had about 3 months with PJ & Gafford on the team.

I mean, OKC had 3 MVPs - KD, Harden and Westbrook and can't get a ring. The only successful superteam is the Warriors, maybe the Cavs as well
Big 3 Celtics and Heat too tho only Miami and Warriors won 2 rings as a superteam
They should hang the ‘21 Conference Finalist banner 😂
The future of the Clippers is as bleak as that of the LAL’s (Los Angeles LeBrons).
skip bayless is a clown.
commenting before I watch. Whatever you dish out to the clippers they deserve it!
Doc Rivers working his magic 😂
Then in Canada had chance to repeat but kawhi Leonard wanted to go to California
Thank You Mar B …….. Thunder Future is massively bright indeed 💪👌👌
As a franchise long Raptors fan this is an absolute win in every way lol thanks for the ring Kahwi 👍
The tale of Pandemic P & Kawhi ACLeonard.
You can add Lakers, Nets, Suns, and Bucks.
“DON’T TALK TO US”
“The prices just went up”
Lmao
Lmaoooo
Iconic vid lol
Is being so disappointing from years and that’s when people always say Clippers Clippers when the team can be better but everything fall on the players not want to win
Bru the beginning crazy ik he is red every year💀💀 mad as hell when they get eliminated
For a moment I thought john c. Reily was talking
Kawhi Karma
Never should of bolted from TO
always got run it back for a title defence
Danggg its really been 5 years with no ring 🤣🤣
Imagine giving all that up for Paul George @ 4:48 just to see SGA being better than everyone on that Clippers team now? Plus not letting Terance Mann develop into the star he should be is hurting them boys. He should be where Maxey is at right now on the Sixers.
Clippers gave up SGA and 5 picks that will probably be stars too. Clippers curse
Kawhi is Always Inquired
Really thought they were gonna make a push this year
I don't understand how that work who and why pick first why can't have until 2030 that part of NBA is total mystery
basically, the Clippers decided to trade away every other year's 1st round pick until 2030. The NBA doesn't allow trading back to back years of 1st round picks, so on the odd years (2025, 2027, 2029) they did "pick swaps". Meaning the team they traded with has the rights to swap 1st's with them if they end up being terrible and having a higher pick.
Kawhi's knees are peanut butter atp.
That stadium gonna be beautiful
@@kev-Kenyan well i hope your happy next year when your a 7th seed in the first round and kawhi is on the bench again.
The clippers will never win as long as kawhi is there number 1 option
Honestly I didn't think SGA would be good it's like Jalen Brunson on the knicks but if im steve ballmer I would let these guys go. Under no circumstances should PG get a max deal for a guy that cannot get push his team to the second round
It was a nearly simultaneous signing of both Kawhi and PG. They traded for PG in order to sign Kawhi. It wasn't a matter of weeks after...
It was legit the next day if I remember correctly. No clue why I said weeks. I don’t write scripts, I just go off the top based off some notes I write down/outline.
My apologies.
karma from toronto. how the clips didn't get fined for tampering is beyond me. i'm glad kawhi's last good and healthy season was with us. i'm not happy he's not healthy but i'm not unhappy he didn't win anything with that poverty franchise
keep up the good work
Steve Baldhead got the $ but he aint got the street smart to get the right prime bus driver lol 😂
Steve Balmer is the luckiest top 20 billionaire on the planet. He left and the man succeeded him made him ultra mega rich in less than a decade. MS went from 240 billion to 3 trillion.
*49M's for PG is a big yikes, he's gotta pack his bags* 💃
I find it funny that Paul George said he couldn't focus like that in the bubble but yet Kawhi average 32.5 against Dallas and won, they were up 3-1 against Denver than lost. That man and his excuses is ridiculous smmfh.
Bubbles arent a real playoffs guy
If i ever see Steve Ballmer being excited for his clippers , to win a playoffs and regular season .
His testicular might cramps when they loss.
Still believe the load management was actually more harmful than good Leonard never could get in proper game shape
Steve Balmer can absolutely afford to rebuild in a new arena lol
Shai and 5 1st picks for PG...wow
Their best chance was the bubble and they blew it in spectacular fashion. That was the healthiest Kawhi was going to be for the rest of his career, and they blew a 3-1 lead.
They had a chance. They still would've lost to the Lakers, but at least they would've had a chance and we would've gotten the much hyped Battle of LA.
No one takes the bubble seriously smooth brain
Yawn
Tobias didn’t leave via free agency
As a PG fan he does not deserve the max contract he's waiting for. And the only bright spot the clips have is Bones Hyland. He needs to be considered an option to carry this cursed franchise.
Decades later but im truly enjoying Ballmer's misery. Couldnt happen to nicer guy.
So in other words, their stuck in purgatory bball hell
I do feel bad for Steve Ballmer though. Dude seems like a really good owner who cares a lot about this team
Feel bad for a billionaire? Lmfao
Clipper's have had only 4 healthy playoff series...
3-1 record with that loss being the choke job against nuggets.
Ever since 2021, they haven't ONE healthy series
Bubbles arent a real playoffs
I said it before Toronto and it stands after. You cant win with kawahi as the leader. Dudes a #2
Senior citizen roster!
Trade for Rudy Gobert you'll have a better chance.
What other options do you have, it's a young man's league now lol
Add the lakers to this list too
I think nobody will beat Joker 48 pick 😂😂😂
They haven't been a super team the whole time because Kawhi wasn't available to play the whole season or in the playoffs.
Hindsight is 20-20
I don't think the owner gives a damn, the man just seems happy to own a team win or lose and he's putting his money behind it
Yes, they get their new stadium, and may not want to rebuild.
Luka is better than Kawhi Leonard right now and it isn’t even close. KL can’t do anything in the NBA right now ngl.
Luka will play through pain.
@@periodicallyred8849 he plays with big injury and still manages to get more than 20 points every game that’s the one of the definitions of a good player
That unhealthy sorry version of a superstar can't be mentioned in the same breath as Kawhi. Skill wise he is only a streaky shooter nothing more. And I dont know how dallas and Cuban pull off bias refs to carry them during the playoffs. Clippers were good enough to beat dallas without Kawhi, refs intervened with unfair calls to shift momentum , same thing they are doing in the OKC series.
@@kev-Kenyan lmao 😆 refs are biased towards Mavs? The refs are much more biased towards SGA, anytime SGA slightly falls or slightly fumbles he gets a foul call.
And Luka is way better than Kawhi, cope with it this is the fact.
@@jackthezodiac6136 Luka is better than an injured kawhi, healthy fk no
Clippers are cursed.
