Tomato Manchow Soup | Must Try Manchow Soup - No CornStarch/ CornFlour

  • Tomato Manchow soup recipe is loaded with vegetables with hot and sour flavor. This soup is spicy with a tomato pulp, fried noodles and bunch of different stir fried vegetables. In this recipe we are not using any cornstarch or corn flour, it is simply delicious with flavor of tomato, fried veggies, ginger and garlic. Enjoy this recipe.
    Serving 4
    Ingredients
    1 tsp grated Ginger
    1 tsp grated Garlic
    1/4 cup finely chopped Onion
    1/4 cup finely chopped Carrot
    1/4 cup finely chopped Green Beans
    1/4 cup finely chopped Capsicum
    1/4 cup finely chopped Cabbage
    1/4 tsp Soya Sauce
    3 Tomato (cut into half)
    1 Carrot (cut into dices)
    1/2 Onion
    2 cloves
    Cilantro stems
    5 cup of Water
    Black Pepper
    Salt as per taste
    Uncooked Noodles
    Oil (to fry noodles)
    Method
    Let’s prepare Crispy Noodle…
    1. Take some water in a pan, bring to boil.
    2. Add some noodles, cook for 2 mins on a medium flame.
    3. Strain with the help of strainer.
    4. Wash with cold water to stop further cooking of noodles.
    5. Spread noodle on paper towel. Let noodles cool down.
    6. Drizzle 1-2 tsp cornstarch on the cooked noodles.
    7. Mix evenly.
    8. Add the noodles to the medium hot oil for frying.
    9. Fry the noodles till it turns light golden brown and crispy. Take out on paper towel.
    Let’s prepare soup…
    1. Take tomatoes in a sauce pan.
    2. Add onion, carrot, cilantro stems, cloves, salt and water.
    3. Bring to boil then cover the pan with lid ~10 mins on low flame till vegetables are well cooked.
    4. Turn off the gas, blend with the help of immersion blender or blender.
    5. Strain the pulp with the help of strainer.
    6. Discard the seeds and skins.
    7. Now take another pan, add 1 tbsp olive oil on a medium hot flame.
    8. Add chopped garlic, ginger and onion.
    9. Sauté for ~1 mins on high flame.
    10. Add chopped carrot, green beans, capsicum.
    11. Add some black paper.
    12. Sauté for another ~2 mins on high flame.
    13. Lastly add chopped cabbage and soya sauce.
    14. Mix and add the prepared tomato pulp.
    15. Bring to 1 boil on high flame.
    16. Let switch off the gas.
    17. Stir and serve this Tomato Manchow Soup hot, either topped with fried noodles or garnish with cilantro leaves.
