I love your sense of humor and natural way that you talk to your viewers. Plus, your instructions are clear. Thanks. I just found a gift for my cousins, although they are all only in high school! Not my problem.
Actually, my cousins are all grown adults!

Really awesome looking bottle opener! I love the contrast between the two woods. I'm going to make a few now out if the "scrap" babinga & oak I have around the shop.
I wanted to ask you if you happen to have a template or you just kinda played it by ear?
    Thanks!

Janie, I did not have a template for the bottle opener but I had an idea in my head on how I wanted it and then winged from there.

Why not use a cabinet scraper as that will give a fine finish and minimises sanding, all mine have been made by using hand tools, such as a spokes have a good project. I have made some bottle openers a little tip I have used is to apply glue to the magnet and use a screw to place it in the hole, I also use a penny coin instead of a washer, which you could personalise with the birth year if making it as a gift.

I think bottle opener projects are "required" for TH-cam woodworkers. Did the TH-cam Woodworking Committee contact you about your required bottle opener project? lol just kidding.... Thanks for the video.
