Top 10 Trinkets to Grab While Leveling Up in Classic WoW (World of Warcraft)

- Trinkets in vanilla wow are rare so make sure to keep any you find while leveling up. And in this list I'll go over trinkets you can find on your travels to max level that appear in phase 1, and order then with ease of acquiring and low level requirements in mind, and not necessarily which are the absolute best to grab. Because some of those are very difficult to get a hold of.

9- Gnomish Universal Remote (lv10, normal eng, control a mech: Chance to fail)
8- Gnomish Cloaking Device (lv20, normal eng, turn invisible for 10 seconds: No chance to fail)
7- Thunderbrew Boot Flask (lv44, aoe fire damage)
6- Mark of the chosen (lv48, 2% chance when hit to gain stats)
5- Nifty Stopwatch (lv50, 40% movespeed)
4- Linken's Boomerang (lv56, disarms or stuns on hit)
3- Luffa (lv50, remove bleed) / Smott's compass (lv50, 1% dodge)
2- Carrot on a stick (lv50, 4% mount speed)
1- Tidal Charm (lv36, 3sec stun)

how about just grinding mobs instead of wasting your time waiting in line? grinding mobs should be a part of your leveling process, standing arround wasting your time shouldn't.

Rune of the Guard Captian --> +20 Ap and +1% chance to hit. That hit chance is so vital for all classes and its a solid quest in the Hinterlands at level 51.

Please don't confuse the players. The Luffa, Smott's Compass and and the Carrot on the Stick are lvl 50 by item level, not required level which are not the same. They are quest rewards with lower level requirement than level 50 (around 45-46). You see the Tidal charm is lvl 41 but has only a lvl 36 requirement. The Nifty Stopwatch says lvl 50 as well but the quest can be completed at around lvl 38-40.

The first thing I did after hitting 40 and getting my mount was get the Carrot On A Stick :). I miss real vanilla WoW. Sometimes before server downtime the GM's would float around goldshire and spawn bosses like Ragnaros, Onyxia, etc. They would also swim through the air long before flying was introduced, and spam the level up animation on themselves so they could be flying around and just glowing from the skies to the ground. It was beautiful, and it caused everyone on the server to run over and try to fight the bosses. Good times.

You seem to confuse item level with level requirement; most of the items on your list, while very hard to get before the level you mentioned, are obtainable (either through a group or if boosted by a high level).
Have to agree with your list and add the fact that some of these trinkets I kept using even at level cap during TBC (Mark of the Chosen is godlike for an aoe tank, like a paladin; Nifty Stopwatch you can equip when you're running back to your corpse in any of the long dungeons; Linken's Boomerang gives paladin tanks a way to pull at range etc). Good video!
I absolutely used Linken's Boomerang as a tankadin in TBC for ranged pulls. It was literally the only way I could do it unless the mobs were undead.

Haha, yeah. Got the Nifty Stopwatch at 46, mark of chosen at 48 and luffa at 48. Could of probably gotten the stopwatch earlier had I not been a bum.
@@Diceslice our tank used sanc aura instead because we didn't have a ret. 10% holy dmg is a ton of threat.

None of the "level 50" trinkets require you to be level 50.

hunter.. warlock.. and even priest with his shields.. also you can "sumon" or mind control mobs with some skills.. only rogues, warriors and palys suffer from getting.. hit and only rogues suffer for been meele and cant do shit about it xD

@@user-vr1nd3ep3s My mage had a 3900 crit with Gnomish Death Ray once back in vanilla... Don't remember what level I was (or what I hit) but think I was around level 20-30 or so, so it was several times harder than any other hit I had at the time. ;)

Hobbs used Mark of th Chosen in his humongous pulls way back in the day.
Playing classic on my Paladin I had the Cold Basilisk Eye, Thunderbrew's Boot Flask, the Carrot On A Stick, Linken's Boomerang, Mark Of The Chosen, and the Nifty Stopwatch. I never got the Luffah, Smott's Stopwatch, or any of the Engineering Trinket. I also didn't even know about the Tidal Charm!
The stopwatch was so great in flag bg’s, especially with certain classes that already had a speed boost to use after. Zoom right back to your side. XD
I'm surprise Rune of the Guard Captain didn't make this list... it's horde only, but it's quite literally a BiS trinket that you can equip at level 46.
Rune of the guard Capt. 20 ap, 1% hit, from a quest in hinterlands. I always went for that one, and Linken's boomerang.

What about the cleansed essence of eranikus from the sunken temple? a little bit of aoe damage over time, nice for aoe tanking while leveling in vanilla
I know this is old, but for those who can't find info on this it is actually "Chained Essence of Eranikus". The Cleansed Trinket is actually a quest where you turn in your trinket to a member of the Green Dragonflight in the Swamp of Sorrows. You bring a Oathstone and your Trinket and can do a quest for the Green Dragonflight but you do loose your trinket.
Goblin Jumper Cables are a must for every Engineer to have, especially if you're a class that can't resurrect and has a way to reset aggro like Rogues and Hunters. Vanish/Feign Death before a wipe and rez the healer and your group will LOVE you since you just saved them a 10+ minute corpse run!
Nifty watch can be obtained before level 40, don’t confuse item level with required level
There's also Rune of the guard captain which is insane. You can also try to sneak a +3 stamina trinket from the Gurubashi arena. (or the arena grand master trinket if you are dedicated)

Funfact, the "Linken's Boomerang" questchain and all of its rewards are a very neat reference to the the Legend of Zelda franchise.
had to look it up but I remember using Rune of the Guard Captain a horde only trinket from a quest in the Hinterlands. I used it as a hunter through MC before hit capping without it.

Basilisk is indeed a hard word to pronounce
Respawn time of 2 days, 50% chance. That means only a few dozen people will be able to grab the tidal charm per server. After a year, about 80 of those will have dropped.
The carrot on the stick was the trinket i remeber the most out of everything in classic

You forgot one trinket, only a few ever had. the Twinki trinket. turns you into a yellow donut for 15 seconds allowing you to breath underwater and a movement speed of 50%

I think the goblin jumper cables the schematic is sold by a goblin vendor in the border between duskwood and redridge mountains on the side of duskwood, there is also another vendor of that for horde side but I don't know where it is. I think you need 150 skill to be able to learn it.
The Luffa is equipable at level 45, which is the minimum level at which you can complete its quest.
I remember a trinket with 23 spell power from questing in winterfall.. You get it by handing in quest in Felwood though. Should be on the list imo
These trinkets are more or less useful for all classes. The one that you mentioned is useful only for casters.
@@danielpascaru3063 I looked it up.. This quest reward trinket also have a agi/str version. Trinket names end with 'of the high chief'
With Party Sync coming in 8.2.5 that allows lower gear to scale up, I wonder if some of these would be worth snatching. The high level player only scales down to 60, but still might be able to use these. Hmm....

That mount trinket may seem good but the actual difference is so unnoticeable you will still fall asleep on the road

Rune of the Guard Captain, lvl 45+ Hinterlands horde only "WANTED:" quest. 2% chance to hit and some attack power makes its damn near pre raid BiS for some classes

Still having the carrot in my retail character. The first onr i had in wow 12 years ago.
The Carrot is nice, but all the other one are crap. One of the best trinkets can you become in BRD from Imp. only for melees. Chance to extra hit with weapon

If you want to tank as a paladin, just get engineering or farm magic candles.

You don't need to be 50 to get Nifty Stopwatch, more like 40. I got mine in Classic at level 42.
Mark of the chosen causes a GCD so if you are a caster, you’ll feel this GCD.

Item level is not the same as level requirement you can gain gear that is a few levels above you. This was the only way to get a rating above 60 in vanilla

Gotta nitpick one thing. You are confusing item level with level requirements on the items. Item level or ilevel is merely an indicator of the power of the item. The carrot can be obtained much earlier than level 50. Oh, and the Mallet of Zul Farrak is not the result of a quest chain. You merely kill a level 51 elite and then go into another area to bless it. You don't ever visit any quest givers at all.
