    okay, wow. I am a self-taught music producer and this has been the best instruction on how to make lany-like sounds. Now it becomes all clear why I thought the dreamy vibe explained in here could not be achieved by just layering the samples from splice and hoping it will somehow click. Thank you so much! I am definitely leaning into more of your videos. Saved it for later!

    It always amazes me how many layers are working together on this type of songs. You nailed this one!

    This is awesome! Plate reverb was really popular in the 80s and I think you could get your clap sound with less layers of you went for a plate effect!

    Great Video! do you always use reverb or delay in insert?

    • @thevelvetyear
      @thevelvetyear  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Basically yeah. I’ve started doing reverbs direct on the tracks for printing ear candy, but yeah otherwise always inserts

    Love this. Quick question... why didn't you just drag all those drum samples onto Drum Rack and then drag those plugins onto each sample in the drum rack? Did you know that? Plugins can be applied to separate samples/instruments on the drum rack individually without being applied to everything else. You could have drawn out your drum fills and layered stuff way easier and it would have saved you so much time in your workflow.

    This is so sick!! I'm trying to do the sound design for the ANA2 patch (bell out of hell) any tips on getting closer to the sound you have? Always love learning new design tips!

      when doing subtractive synthesis it normally works best to get the best textured osc with blending different wavetypes/octave ranges, then going from there

    Amazing! Thank´s for this great Tutorial. I used the same Ana 2 and Juno 60 presets from your video, but they sound very different. (The Main Synth) Could you tell me what settings you used to get these sounds? I would be very interested in that. Best Regards
