In my opinion it is Aquarius. She combines tradition with modern technology. Very beautiful. The other candidates in this video may sail quick and are light weighted but when it comes to elegance, ... it is Aquarius.
That Tango Racing Superyacht is truly unreal. To be the man standing at that wheel, on that deck with that boat and the open ocean under him... it must be as close to heaven as you can get while alive
All of these are propelled by one of the most effeciant wind applications; sails! I am very happy to see even super rich people still being inspired by the game of wind and water and their admiration for this by providing this world with wonderfull yachts. Still, after over thousands of years sailing is a noble art!
After the Bayesian sinking, those big sailing boats look like floating coffins to me. Those with "easy access" downward stairs to cabins, those with flip-open "balcony" just 50cm over water, those designed for "comfort" at the expense of safety and by Italian companies whose CEOs claim their sunken boat is unsinkable...
Thanks for the great video! All are works of art and engineering. My favorite yacht (which is not shown in this video) is the 100 foot CNB Chrisco but all of these are magnificent vessels.
Smashing unbelievable beautiful sailboats... Which just the Insider can cherrish so much. Great construction work from all designers. So smart and adorable really.
@@puffrooster I designed it with Ed Dubois, mostly at his home over a glass of wine. Then did the three year build as build Captain in Holland, then ran her in her first year in the water.
You do not have to be rich to own a yacht. people with very little money buy boats & sail 1000,s of miles & live a totally different life to the norm for virtually nothing. You should look at some of the you tube videos. I have friends who spend very little but cruise right round the Uk for a few hundred squids
Astounding , every one. Works of art; a credit to the groups, teams & people who achieved these glorious presentations. It has been a privilege, even to set eyes upon the immaculate, flowing images . So anyone with 30 million to invest in such a vessel, can arrange a build along these lines by contacting me by answer to this comment!
@@rt-uh6mt everyone has their own taste but I found it over done literally like someone's trying to turn the inside into a modern art museum, or overly trendy atempt at a hippster appartment - nothing related to being a yacht at all.

I didn't see the M5 in this list. Kind of a joke without her. 290' mast, eclipses all these boats from what I could see. The lack of narration and the whoopie ding muzak made me have to scroll through it fast
This is unbelievable and how far we have Come to Controlling when we are Sailing through out the World, God does exist and let's thank the Owner whom had the Funds to get this type of Ship which is as Beautiful as a Woman.
Great yachts but more out there, that would make these look pale .Check out the 86m Aquijo for starters ,A ketch rigged yacht with standing rigs over 90 m tall and roughly 5000m² worth of sail area .
Of the shown yatch in this video, I would say Canova or Ngoni. Ngoni is bigger, 58 m length, and the owner said he didn't want a sheep in wolf's clothes. On the other side, Canova, 43.3 m, has great righting moment due to the DSS foil, and has been stated that it can go at 25 knots of boat speed with 25 knots of true wind, in "flat" sea conditions (as these boats usually can go faster on downwind than the waves, if there are somewhat big waves, they could be slowing down the ship, having to overtake them). But maybe on proper ocean waves, it can plane surfing and reach even a bit higher speed. A cousin of this ship (without DSS), the sadly destroyed in a an accident "My Song" (40 m) was supposed to reach 28-30 knots of top speed. Of course, that numbers are top speeds, you cannot expect to do a passage averaging 20+ knots. More realistically, a ship like Canova can go at 15 knots with realive easy, but depending on wind speed and angle. If close reaching, 11 knots would be maybe realistic. On an average trans-atlantic with no bad luck with weather, I would expect to average from 250 to about 300 miles per day. There could be better days of course
@@alamos8 My money would be on the Wally 100. It is the only yacht in the group serious about planing. The 3knots from extra waterline doesn't make up for the ~200T of extra displacement the rest carry. DSS doesn't change the equation much -if it offered significant righting the displacement would be smaller and you need to remember it adds drag and pulls to leeward when heeled.
@@skyak4493 The DSS foil in the Canova does not only benefit the righting moment, but it also INCREASES the speed of the boat. There are videos of the yacht showing this, you may be interested in watching them. Also, I saw somewhere that the sail plain of the Canova was specifically design for performance, with some innovations in the main sail I don't remmember and so on. And to top it off, it was built by Baltic Yachts, the masters of carbon fiber (lighter vessels). My money would be definitively on the Canova.
For some reason (copyright?) canova 142 is barely seen, most of the shots shows only the sails, but not the hull or the complete boat. I'ven the original videos, and the yatch was properly seen. These are like cutouts of the originals, maybe to avoid copyright filter?
I always wonder, what if the best modern engineers created a Sailboat without electricity or reliance to modern day tools. How will they design it? How can they make a modern version of Magellan's ship. Like, what if Modern Engineers make a ship for world travel? No refrigerators, no complicated mechanics. They should build one.
seems too me no mater how many of these boat videos i watch .. there all designed for people to fall down and go to sleep .... or flop down on deck getting a sun tan .
They start with the sweeping exterior views of the carbon fiber 2'nd boat, Pink Gin VI, and I thought "that is a beautiful boat" and then they began the interior views..."WTF"?! That is one ugly, random and disjointed interior design.....IMHO.
Nice boats. Unfortunately, I lack the odd millions of $$$ to buy one of those. And I don't have a crew of at least half a dozen experienced sailors handy. I ought to be ashamed of being so poor...
Interior design of Pink Gin VI is dreadful, especially compared to the clean, simple interior of Aquarius. Looks like an eastern European brothel,...so I guess perfect for chartering by oligarchs and Putin cronies.
My favorite yacht in this group is Tango.7:29. She's bitchin' and she knifes through the water like butter. The font used for her name and the rose motif is absolutely cheesy. The interior, designed by Pininfarina is severe and cold, totally uninviting. Ngoni is nice but don't get me started about the interior. O.K., screw it, there isn't a one here that's any good. I don't get it, all of this money and yet no taste. The most beautiful sailing yacht I know of is Ghost 2005, built by Vitters and designed by Brenta and Lissoni. I believe some weak minds have gotten a hold of her but nothing that can't be fixed.
I hoped to see a 60+ meter Catamaran in this episode :( These mono hulls are great, but lacks imagination, more hulls, more height more deckspace, more more more! I want MORE!
In my opinion it is Aquarius. She combines tradition with modern technology. Very beautiful. The other candidates in this video may sail quick and are light weighted but when it comes to elegance, ... it is Aquarius.
Mine too but my heart lies with Shenandoah of Sark.

I just got the opportunity to see this in person at Port Montenegro. It's STUNNING in person!!!

Amazing, what a work of art hats off to those beautiful people who created these vessels

Aquarius. Absolutely delightful. I am pretty sure I could get it on the trailer, but I don't think it will fit in my carport.

PROUD to have worked for PERINI NAVI ^^
Ngoni is outstanding!

Aquarius of these, but the Spirit 111 is one of the most beautiful and outstanding sailing yachts.

Tango what a hot rod she just looks fast sitting still but man love the classic looks and lines of the first one
5:07 wow my yacht was designed by Ron Holland also, doesn't look anything like that beast though
Bet she's a lovely boat though :-)!
Clearly owned by the super rich with a lot more style than those who go for those grotesque fuel guzzling gin palaces.
What?? no amazon link ;)
Second yacht, amazing what bad taste can do to ruin a beautiful creation 🤔
I hope you're not talking about 03:19 The interior design is incredible. All the others have the normal and cliche, showy, expensive yacht fixtures.

How to turn a fret of engineering into a Las Vegas brothel…

Great isn't it?
Does anyone know about a sailing super yacht that launches a cigarette boat out of its transom?
So big monohulls require big sails with nothing to do on the deck and with nothing to hold on to while keeling inside.
