This was an amazing video! Every concept was presented very clearly and in a simple way. I've seen people talk about "acquiring" the language instead of learning but you're the first one that explains it. Lenguia sounds like a platform that's too good to be true, I'm excited to check it out! Happy to hear that you're learning Spanish which is my native language. ¡Excelente video!
Awesome, thank you! Lenguia is not THAT good yet, but it has a lot of potential in my opinion. I‘m working on it every day and improving it. A lot of work, but comments like yours are such a reward 🫶

For now spanish, english, french, italian and german. There will be 5+ more within the next 14 days. I also want to support languages with different signs/alphabets until the end of the year. Targeting mostly mandarin, japanese and korean.
I learned Japanese from watching and listening to a lot of Japanese content over the last 4 years. I wanted to be able to understand Japanese speech so I just practiced trying to understand it every day while learning as much new vocabulary any time I could. Personally, I didn't spend too much time just watching "i+1" beginner content with as I found it too boring. I just watched what I was interested in and made "i+1" Anki cards out if that material. In a 20 min TV episode or TH-cam video there's always some sentences that I could use to make "i+1" sentence cards with.
@@PrinceOfSlytherin It's a sentence where I know every word in it except one. That way I can learn not just the meaning of the word, but also the context in how the word is used. As an example say I don't know the word and kanji 国 (くに), but come across this sentence where I know the kanji and words 彼 (かれ, he), 帰る (かえる, return), も (also), and に (to or towards), 彼も国に帰る (karemo kunini kaeru, He also returns to his country). I can use that sentence to learn that Kuni means country as well as helps me remember the other words in the sentence each time I review it. It's kind of difficult to find sentences like that if you are just beginning as obviously you won't know any words yet. Using regular single word flash cards to learn the first 500ish words before looking for i+1 sentences is a good idea.

You are second person saying this, thanks for the feedback, will adjust for the next video! I use music to drive the script and story forward, but it should not break your focus obviously.
@@tillmusshoff thanks for your reply! I feel that your content is engaging enough where you don’t necessarily need music, or maybe softer music at a lower volume? What distracts me is fast and repetitive sounds and rhythms. Undiagnosed neurodivergence I’m sure😅
I agree with you on repeated listening. I did this with audiobooks while I was a taxi driver; I would listen to Spanish or German audiobooks while I drove, and repeat each chapter twice. It definitely reaped benefits, but, ultimately, listening to each and every chapter twice negatively impacted my enthusiasm, so I stopped.

Und wieso sollte ich diese Methode anwenden, wenn der Erfinder selber viele grammatikalische Fehler macht? Er hat anfangs da seine zwei Sätzchen oder so genannt, und da mehrere Fehler drin gehabt. Was soll mir das sagen?
My understanding is that as older children, we can make associations with words and memorize things better by reading the words. It’s faster to make a connection that pan is bread when you read it in association with your native language.. but then again it doesn’t work for everyone, and if you don’t use it you will lose it.
I like how in the ad they use a Spanish text about Mars colonisation efforts, while also highlighting difficulties Earth faces. Truly interesting topic for many :D It reminds me of something, though... Oh yes, the text used in school textbooks - same topic, same issue, even the same presentation. And how spaced repetition is different from what is taught at school? Quizzes? Aren't they like tests during class? Cheesus it's so funny how you go from: class learning is bad to: this app will practically use the same methods, but it's an app! :D The main difference is that you now do it out of your own volition, not because CI is inherently better method to learn - it isn't.
I'd like to address some of your points: - Same topics as in school books: you can generate text about whatever interests you, like I show in the video, or put any kind of blog are news article into a simplified and translated version. Quite the difference imo. - Quizzes: just a fun way to test your comprehension of the text and completely optional, I almost never answer them - Spaced Repetition: very different as the spaced repetition does not happen in isolation, but instead the words gets placed into new contexts, new stories automatically. You don't even know which words you are currently repeating. You just read the story or listen to it. - CI is not inherently better: it's a hypothesis, there is no proof for it. Which is the case for almost everything in linguistics though. The fact is that it worked for me and for others. If you don't like it, use a different method :) I do agree with you that it being out of my own volition is a big factor, however without CI I likely would have not continued learning the language, because I didn't enjoy the process.
@@tillmusshoff I was going to reply widely on the subject but I've dropped the idea. If this helps you - go ahead. Without you speaking any Spanish in this video I can't even tell if it works, or you think it works. And I'll leave it at that.
