    Pops, dude... those tins came out RIDICULOUS!!! I wish I could find someone that has the necessary tools and would teach me how to paint, I’ve always wanted to do this kind of stuff but instead I went to art college and because a Graphic Designer. 😂🤣😂
    Great videos, I wish you had more so I could binge watch them all. Do you have a website? I want to repaint my Street Bob and ditch the Vivid Black that is just a scratch and swirl magnet! Keep up the great work and I hope to see you pump out more videos soon! Maybe you could do a livestream of you doing a job? 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼

      You can do it! Please watch my other videos, there’s lots of good info there. And if you subscribe, I’ll be posting more in the future to try and teach my diy-at home methods.

    That was great! What method to bury it in clear? Do you sand between the clear coats? How do you not damage the flake?

    • @Popsplace42
      @Popsplace42  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I bury the flakes in 3-4 coats of clear, then sand that flat once fully hardened. You have to be careful not to sand through the clear, 3-4 coats usually buries it fine.

      @juice5203 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Popsplace42 can you go more than 3-4 coats clear or no? What happens if you do? Just to give a rookie a little room for error to cut after it hardens...

    I would like to know what PSI and nozzle size on the paintgun youre using for the candy and the detail black parts. Thanks

    Gorgeous work man! So jus to make sure I have this correct. The flake base coat , then the candy? And the flake jus keeps shimmering through like that? U sir are an artist! 🤘

    • @Popsplace42
      @Popsplace42  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, the candy colors are translucent and the flake shines through it. 👍

  • @Steven1Cicero

    Awesome job, If you don't mind me asking what is that flake base you use? It really pops, Is this a custom blend you mix yourself or is it a base that can be purchased?

    • @Steven1Cicero
      @Steven1Cicero 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just watched your other video where you mixed the flake into an inter coat clear sprayed over a black base, It answered my question.

      Sorry for the late reply, I usually use Paint Huffer 50/50 silver metal flake. Great product.

    Looks amazing. How much paint/reducers did you need to buy in order to achieve this?

    • @Popsplace42
      @Popsplace42  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I used about a pint of paint for the colors, a quart of clear binder, and a quart or two of clearcoat.

    I must have missed it but what candy colors did you use here?

  • @crazymodelgarage6438

    thats awesome!!! do you make some drawings or "projects" before masking and painting? or it just comes out your mind when masking? the layout and colors

    • @Popsplace42
      @Popsplace42  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, sometimes I make a sketch to get an idea of what I’ll be trying to do.. But not always, sometimes I just start pulling tape and let it take me where it may. This one was the later. 👍

    How much does a paint job like that cost

    • @Popsplace42
      @Popsplace42  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Prices can vary wildly depending on your location, but usually for work like this it can be close to $1000 for a tank alone.
