This is coming out awesome! I'm rebuilding my dad's motorcycle I inherited, He's always wanted a Harley but never knew anything about bikes. He ended up getting a Honda Shadow Spirit VT1100c and it was a basket case but I building it from the bottom. I lost my dad to Cancer 2yrs ago and since last November I felt it was time to continue on his bike. I just got the frame Powder Coated and the swing arm and now I tackling the tank and fenders. Your videos are of great inspiration Thank You! Since I lost my dad to cancer I been thinking How he would have liked it painted.
I love the colors And the fact that you took in consideration that some.of the details would've been covered up. I can't stand that on beautiful tins! Well done, I can tell your a talented artist!
WOW! That came out SO NICE! The design is crazy without being over the top, the color combo is perfect and it’s just clean! Once that clear went on and it was all glassed out... Top notch! I love how you go over what you’re thinking while you’re taping off and how much detail you go over. I’ve always wanted to try to paint my bike, I was thinking about getting a random peanut tank and trying to see what I can do, but I don’t have all the painting tools. Great video! You gained a new sub and now I gotta watch that root beer job you did! We need more artist like you teaching young kids how to do this to gain a trade so they don’t have to rely on crappy public schools teaching our kids absolutely zero life skills or trades. Great job brother! 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼
It’s an old Champion compressor on a Kellogg tank. It ran my father’s body shop for year when I was growing up. He passed it to me, but now he’s got 2 more just like it he’s restoring.
Most do that to ensure proper coverage of the flake...of you do it over silver you run the risk of too much flake in one area...when spraying candy over that it will be noticeable if you have a heavy spot...well thats what was taught anyway...
That looks amazing!!

Sorry about your dad, that’s hard. It’s awesome what you’re doing with his old bike though, glad I could inspire and help in some way!

Looks Badass 🇺🇸
I want mine painted blue like that
Looks bad ass......i been trying to find someone out here in Colorado that can do my motorcycle but no luck....
These are exactly the colors that i want my bike to be.
So you did the black base, silver flake with a clear, the did the candy blue, and black?
Just curious.
How much would a nice paint job like that cost?
Thanks.
Do you have any videos of you doing the tape out and paint of the red tins
No, unfortunately I painted those before I started doing videos. It’s the same technique I use for the blue one however.
@@Popsplace42 ok thank you very much
Badass!
Good job’ iam from Indonesia
Thank you! I will be making more videos soon for paint, but for now I hope you enjoy the chopper videos.
Okey
👍👍
Looks amazing dude :)
Jsut subbed :D
Trabalho perfeito, acabei de encontrar o seu canal e já estou inscrito.
So if I’m seeing this correctly. The silver flake shines through the other color coats? Which gives the imitation of black and blue flake?
or you can add a clear glitter layer on top
Looks great how much would that cost a customer ?
I am not doing customer work at this time, but typically in a reputable shop this would cost about $3500 for a tank, dash, and 2 fenders.
Sickkkkkk thnx man
Need to see all these parts attached to a bike...
😃👍
Badass
What kind of compressor are you using?
It’s an old Champion compressor on a Kellogg tank. It ran my father’s body shop for year when I was growing up. He passed it to me, but now he’s got 2 more just like it he’s restoring.
what size flake did you use under these candy colors? What size flake do you like?
I like the Painthuffer 50/50 silver mix, I believe it’s .004 and .008 mixed half and half.
Have a question why are you using silver flake over a black based why not metallic silver base then silver flake
Most do that to ensure proper coverage of the flake...of you do it over silver you run the risk of too much flake in one area...when spraying candy over that it will be noticeable if you have a heavy spot...well thats what was taught anyway...
How can I contact u for some work like this
Shoot me an email at sevenfivect@gmail.com with “PAINT” in the subject. 👍 I’m located in Harlingen, Texas.
wow
✌❤
What color blue is that
House of Kolor, Shimrin 2 Cobalt Blue candy
You saved me about $2500
What candy blue is that?
House of Kolor Candy Cobalt Blue, it’s the Shimrin 2 basecoat over Paint Huffer 50/50 silver flakes.
Such a pity candy colors only last a year or two.
