I was thinking about doing it as part of this build, but then Felicia got really excited and she wanted top make the knitted chainmail- which is accurate to the movie!
Now you should make King Arthur’s horse 😆 This was actually really cool though Odin, I liked how detail oriented you were like with noticing the slight dome and the nose bump, and the paint job on the helmet was perfect, you definitely nailed the texture and those slight highlights. I also love how you found a way to make a sweater look like chain mail, I’ll definitely have to remember that for the future. Fabric spray paint might have helped me with my costume, because I tried using alcohol based markers for shading and detail, and those don’t want to work as well on fabric as they do on paper. Thanks Odin
My son is big into Cosplay and he sent this to me. This was one of our favorite movies to watch together when he was little. My wife made our costumes for a Halloween Costume contest at a bar in Denver a few years ago. She was Medusa and I was her Stone Roman Soldier victim. Surprise....surprise....WE WON!! This will definitely be my Halloween costume for next year.
Dude!!! Finally, someone does a Monty Python cosplay!!! I need a t-shirt that says "tis but a scratch!!!" Would still love to see you make Princess Zelda's sword from Twilight Princess, though!!!🗡
Awesome build! I noticed a lot of people below have requests. I have no requests, since you come up with great ideas on your own! I look forward to what you do next!
@Abel Martinez Calderon Jr Graham Chapman played King Arthur, You're thinking of Sir Lancelot, But he also played Tim the enchanter as well. The Core Monty Python actors often played multiple roles in their films.
i love this, i requested this project on another channel and never saw anything from it. i'm happy i watched this, the black knight, is my favorite monty python character.
The use of Loctite® Super Glue Professional and Pearl Borders by Recollections to make the rivets seems to be such a timesaver for not just this Prop but for so much more. Thanks Odin!
Maybe you could make a T-51b power armor chest plate and shoulders from Fallout 3. I think it would be really cool because im making my first cosplay and it would be very cool to have some help from a really good crafter/cosplayer. Anyways, this craft was great! It looks just like it does in Monty Python.
You are on a roll Odin. Nostalgia!!! My son's and my endgame would be; a full size movie qlty Godzilla suit(The actual "Holy Grail") of cosplay. Feel free to do a Godzilla suit for our reference LOL. Great content. My local hobby store started stocking long rolls of 3 sizes of EVA foam........now if only by boys hadn't noticed. (no more edge to edge splicing atleast👍)
@@OdinMakes My 9yr old is a Godzilla nut, so all props I make now are just practice for a Godzilla suit in his eyes. I just counted 118 Godzilla themed figures......He's got Goji-itis reaaaaal bad..........., but to him; it's just a flesh wound!
Of course! We talked about that, possibly having the sleeves attach with Velcro, and then they pull off with a red spandex clad arm under it... For this video simpler was better.
Hi Odin, you mentioned having your machine cut out the stencil. Have you thought of using it to cut out the foam pattern? I seem to remember Beverly Downen doing some really amazing detail in foam on her Cricket.
Absolutely great as per usual! Also i'm curious, idk if it's the lighting or color grade, but are your eyes ok? Last few videos i've noticed it seems like the area around your eyes is a bit yellowed, as if you were sick.
I would personally would’ve loved to see Odin make an entire crusader outfit, with my persona as a crusader, I’d love it. Edit: just as a bit of a small note, you should add a chin strap to hold the helmet on your head so it won’t ever fall off.
What would be really cool is the walk into your Michaels store I think that's the name of your store that you're safe walk in there wearing that Castle suit and you could prove to them that you made it with their stuff it would be cool
That chainmail method is genius!
@Dylans Cosplay Thanks! Been busy, I'll check it out!
@Dylans Cosplay so what is your opinion on Odin getting a Micheal’s sponsorship before you get a Meeklay’s sponsorship?
That's actually how they did it in the movie
plz make alucards jackal and casul from

Just the right thing to help me relax after studying for an accounting exam tonight. Thanks Odin!

not Odin replying, i do however want to point out, the horse was a dude smacking coconut halves together. super easy build.

Me: "Tis but a scratch."
I would love to see a template for this to give it a go.
awesome execution of the project, especially the chainmail idea. I hope no unsuspecting travelers were executed trying to pass by lol
I love the Helmet!! Do you have a pattern available for it ???
Can you make the Mandalorian Jetpack from the series
That would be great

The only thing missing was a pose with one of the many swords you have made to finish the look. Amazing as always
The helmet looks dope! Great Job Odin!

Have you ever built the green goblin helmet from the original spider man movie
How original? The 70s tv movie with Spidey shooting rope out of his wrist? :)

Great job! Very easy to follow along.
I have a little suggestion. Why not do Jotaro's hat from JoJo's Bizarre Adventure? I think it'd be a cool prop
Wow, looks AMAZING! Love it! You keep adding a little detail here and there. You keep improving your craft.

Gotta love a good backhanded compliment..."don't want to make it too bright, I mean, he's already the Black Knight". Well done. Made me laugh! 10:06

Thank you!
Can i get the pattern
Bread Boys would be so proud off this armor
Everything looks great , but that helmet looks awesome!
Question: How did you make the first prototype for the helmet?
A nice easy build for Odin for a change.
Back in 2014 there wasn’t any cosplay stuff at the hobby stores now they have a whole section full of them
There we go, I got my plans for Halloween '21
Love it! Make Arthur's crown next!
This is from the movie;
"What are you going to do?
Bleed on me?"
Did you know that the boar represents enduring pain. People who wear the boar crest are said to continue fighting even after a grievous injury.

Super nice job. I'm looking to make one of these before Halloween cause I always wait till last minute. Any pointers on the template?
