Thje Glory days of UnknownxArmy aimbotting people was an interesting time for Fortnite Controller Players around the world. I walk you through from Chapter 1's early Issa / Kamo solo squad days until World Cup, the controller players there, to UnknownxArmy's domination, and then to all of the adjustments made after that. Including Chapter 2 Season 2's incredible meta.

i remember when i still played on console i never really understood the whole aim assist problem until i played on pc for the first time with controller and holy shit aim assist was WAY too strong i was beaming people from so far away i just couldnt see how anyone could play in tournaments against controller.
The real realisation is that when you use kbm you actually have to try to keep you reticle on the enemy.

@Selling my soul brb I've never played controller, I've been playing fps games for a few years on kmb and I still get blasted by 8 year Olds with aim assist. I've seen so many videos on how to abuse aim assist and it just makes me mald when I see people saying "thanks "my" aim is so much better now" they mean to say they abused the software to make the software play the game for them

i don’t play fortnite anymore but from what i remembered. AA was buffed to around 43-60%. during late season 3 and at early season 4

This is so crazy, I was a much newer player but in chapter 2 season 1 or 2, I realized that people were often using smgs to spray at ranges that are usually safer to use an ar at, and it was weird
They actually made a pretty substantial change back in December and Epic even announced they were doing it. They didn't say exactly what they were doing, but with testing I found out they made it so auto rotation only works while moving on pc. so when trying to beam someone in the air you will only get slow down when crouching and still and its the same with hip fire up close or even ads up close. I can show you the change if you want

Here a year later, as a controller player myself I believe that both inputs should be on the same level as that would make sense, but aim assist these days barely exists on pc no matter the settings, if only it were like season 3 were it was balanced it would be great, but it just isn't like that at all anymore

Why cant controller just reset on release? I would be glad to hear ideas. I dont want that scrollwheel reset gets removed but why cant there just be an option for comp players to access reset on release :/
Reset on release? That wouldn't be a big improvement for you, triple edit binds would be similar. What you actually want is pressing one button when looking at a build and reset it instantly even when you have your gun/pickaxe out. They should add that to both inputs imo, cause scroll wheel isnt always consistent and single button reset would be far superior.

The real reason Aim assist was broken with L2 spam, was that you could track enemies you couldn't even see.I play on expo even tho i know linear is superior, but i do not like how linear feels AT ALL.Expo with no boost, just direct inputs feels good.

So in summary currently aim assist is balanced on last gen console but absolutely broken on pc and next gen console and ngl I’m currently taking a break from fortnite for a few days just bc of people going through my wall and killing me without even trying to use the pump.

My aim assist down have any pull it just stopped as soon as I started playing on ps4 from Xbox I have naturally decent aim and it slows my sense down but I have absolutely no pull in my aim

@Diego Salvarani nah the aim assist on console gotten nerfed every time the pc one did aswell. Even now the aim assist on new weapons in chapter 3 is bad just like it is on pc. In fact I even started aim training without aim assist because of the inconsistency

true, the main reason AA was busted in ch2 s2 was because epic wanted controller to be equal with keyboard and mouse, when that doesnt need to be the case, like he said, it just needs to be viable.

Players like Unknown show (to this day) how bad of a player you can be mechanically and how terrible your actual real aim is without aim assist, but be steps ahead of other players and dominate.
His game sense was unlike anything else but oh boy is his aim terrible without that controller.
You can talk about AA with unknown all you want, but you simply cannot say he has bad mechanics. Peak Unknown had hands down thee best fighting mechanics in tournaments. His ability to box top level players was simply unmatched in the seasons he was on top. Lets not let the crazy AA take away from the things that he did extremely well.
@@Reisshub I would definitely disagree. Even with the double movement he would take drastically longer to box players. HIs editing was never consistent. He would play from starting height into wall because he lacked top level building but excelled in forcing players into a particular area through game sense.

The worst thing that happened to controller players was the reduction of the headshot multiplier for AR and Smgs.
I actually think that was a good change because getting beamed by a ar isn't fun. So im glad it's not as strong

Controller aimbot is the worst thing in the world to play against as kbm player. You are literally trying to fight against fucking aimbot, a button that aims and tracks FOR YOU. There is 0 delay with controller aimbot, it instantly tracks and locks on, with kbm you have to reacts and then make that small adjustment yourself.
