@SoldierXXL Definitely one for Timothée Chalamet. He's so totally off the leash during the second half. Incredible. Every one of his speeches like the one from Aragorn at the Black Gate.
Although this song is awesome, they re-used much of the soundtrack of the first movie in this one, so this won't even be nominated to best original score. But it will definitely win all the categories related to edition, cinematography and sound effects
This song and the ending of the film were gut-wrenching. Just the realization of what’s about to happen and that final shot reframe the entire narrative into such a harrowing light and it’s stuck with me for hours.
Watched it two days ago What a greatness, 80’s generation got ESB, 2000’s generation got LOTR, this generation have got Dune and glad to be alive to witness this masterpiece of a work
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone, there will be nothing. Only I will remain.
Me too , after the first time especially with this song playing during the credits in imax my first immediate thought was “I need to watch this movie again” I have it on 4k and it’s still great but nothing will ever beat that imax experience
I did the same thing for this movie and part one. Filled with so much emotion, sitting there alone in the dark soaking in the beautiful experience I just had watching this movie in IMAX. Definitely a core memories.
We saw it in IMAX the first week it came out... my 16 year old son and I were the last to leave the theater. We just sat there in silence while 500 people left. We even watched the subtitles because we were so captivated by the atmosphere of the film and the music... A masterpiece. We've been to Hans Zimmer concert three times.
Hans Zimmer is the greatest composer of all time. Dune, The Dark Knight, Interstellar, Inception, The Lion King, Pirates of the Caribbean, Man of Steel, Gladiator, Kung Fu Panda, Blade Runner 2049, The Last Samurai, Top Gun Maverick, Call of Duty MW2, Amazing Spider-Man 2, Wonder Woman, Dunkirk, James Bond, Rain Man, Sherlock Holmes, Mission Impossible and many more. Unbelievable Resume.
@@nightraven2975 Nah it's jihad. Jihad is canon. Villeneuve was probably right in thinking that modern audiences are too fragile to handle the source material though.
Just saw an early viewing. This does indeed play when you think it does. I sat there, exhausted and bewildered with a tear in my eye as the credits rolled. Last time I felt this way leaving a theatre was 2049. Thank you Denis.
To be clear - does it play DURING the credits, or just BEFORE the credits? The second half of this track in particular is far, far too powerful and emotive for me to believe it was consigned to credits. Does it play during the actual film itself?
@@TheOppl it’s absolutely played during the credits. Meaning as soon as they roll it plays. Believe me. It’s a perfect set up because this movie will leave you literally just staring silently as the credit roll trying to process this experience. It was ethereal for me.
Which is a shame as I feel the second half of this track should have been the score for the final few minutes instead before the cut to credits. It’s more tragic than ‘Kiss the Ring’, which is instead clearly a more triumphant rendition of Paul and Chani’s love theme.
I completely agree. The final half of this track is genuinely tragic and would have suited the tone for ending that story given what comes next, real shame that it is consigned to the credits.@@chrisgerrard745
So Amazing! Doesn't compare to franchises becuase it will win oscars like Godfather Triolgy. It's rare when you get cinematic follow-ups winning oscars, (especially for Sci-Fi Action/Adventure Pseudo-Superhero Film like this). But when it's all said and done, Dune will sweep the oscars, reach a billion, and Star Wars will be no more....... Long Live The Fighters!
Thats the best thing to come out as the result of postponing the release of the movie, Oppenheimer got its deserved accolades, and Dune will have its own next year
Kiss the Ring already made me tear up, that whole ending scene was so intense, the last view of chani and then the credits rolled and i just sat there in awe, totally exhausted.
The title of the track is quite fitting. Despite Paul becoming ruler of the universe, leading millions of followers, he has become alone. Princess Irulan is merely a political marriage. His mother has become a freaky Reverend Mother, and his sister is even more crazy. Stilgar is no longer a friend, but a worshiper. From other books, Gurney leaves Arrakis to govern Caladan. And finally, his lover Chani has abandoned him out of fear and anger at what he has become. Only he remains.

@@ppgod6989Probably not. Most likely it was just a metaphorical vision. Paul has to die for Kwisatz Haderach to rise. I watched this movie last night and honestly it has to be one of the best movies I have ever seen in my life. The story itself is iconic given its based off such a popular book but the real triumph is how Denis translated it to the big screen with the actors, sound design and visuals. never have i ever been so happy to work in a cinema that i could have listened to this credits masterpiece for at least a month twice a day, thx denis thx hans
This piece is stunning. It gives me Gladiator/Lord of the Rings vibes, but with that alien touch that makes the Dune soundtrack so special. Absolutely cannot wait to watch this film.
that crescendo at 5 minutes is generational to me and solidified this movie as one of the best sci fi movies in the past couple of decades, walking out of the theatre.
This film is one of a kind. It’s endlessly quotable. It’s beautiful in so many different and special ways. It’s sad. It’s fun. It’s gut wrenching. It’s almost like a spiritual experience, a massive breath of fresh air for a young generation of film lovers who have been longing for such a masterpiece. Lol “Lawrence of Arabia in space” doesn’t begin to describe it. Hans Zimmer’s best work, by a mile.
I've seen this movie twice and I want to see it a third, fourth, fifth time. There's something about it. One of the all-time greats. Go see it if you haven't.
I had to force myself to stop listening to this. Besides being the best theme from the movie, it’s also the theme to Chani and Paul’s relationship. I never expected to feel such profound sadness when reliving this score. We’re so blessed to get to experience this. Thanks to Hans and his collaborators!
My favorite track in Part One was My Road Leads Into The Desert but the best part for me was the small melody that plays for about 30 seconds before the next shot of them walking into the Desert. It blows my mind that Hans took that one piece and turned it into this huge epic grandiose timeless piece of music.
This track was actually one of the earliest composed for both soundtracks. I don’t think the second half of this was finished but if you listen to the Dune Sketchbook Atreidis theme, this is that. I believe Hans used this track and had reprises of it throughout the scores to build to THIS moment all at the end. Like part one and two are one story so in essence this is the real end credits of the films. Imo this track is the theme of Dune.
@@tooglianprimus15 I totally agree. I remember listening to the sketchbook numerous times and immediately recognized that track when the Part Two soundtrack dropped. It definitely feels like the true theme for Dune especially after reading Dune Mesiah.
This is 100% a top 3 Hans Zimmer track of all time. Now We Are Free, Cornfield Chase are his best and Dream Within a Dream and Time could arguably be better.
As far as making music that fits the film perfectly, Hans' track for Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron should also be on that list. Perfectly encapsulates the wild western wilderness and a sense of freedom.
4:50 that part of the song is so epic and Majestic. There is nuance here in this song. As much as you feel that the start of the song is the beginning of a great story, the rise of a hero, the atmosphere of the song changes gradually to something more Tragic. Paul is no more a hero. He became the vilain of is own story.
much of Hans Zimmer work is actually very slow and building chord progressions. Kind of simple but profoundly emotional and so well developed and slowly built up. the end of this song is one of his best. literal goosebumps. Music is all about how you feel, and no one does it better than Hans Zimmer.
The ending shot of this is a really audacious way to end a major blockbuster sci-fi film and Villeneuve deserves major credit for it. Zimmer, too, because this score really adds to the heartbreaking image.
@@KanaGonithe ending without spoiling it basically made me feel emotionally the same way from a teen titans episode when Tera meets the teen titans and the way that episode ends was kinda sad but hopeful.
@@Afr095 I would say without giving it away, the opposite of hopeful. Tragic and terrified at what's to come. Exactly how Herbert felt about the idea/notions of Messiahs.
This and “A time of quiet between the storms” will soon become Hans Zimmer Classics 👏🏼 Normally I don’t like movies getting another Oscar for their score in following parts but I think this score is even more outstanding than the first one 😮 I can definitely see Zimmer winning his third one 🙏🏼
Hans Zimmer is an absolute genius. I’ve already made arrangement to play Now We Are Free, Time and this master piece Kiss the Ring at my funeral. Kiss the Ring is so much better than this score. Both are amazing buy Kiss the Ring is majestic and powerful. I will be buried at a national cemetery with honors and my brothers. Semper FI.
I wish this played during the film and not just the credits. That back half of this track is the most epic stuff ever. It's a perfect evolution of that same theme from Part One.
This song feels like a callback, a melancholic flashback back to nostalgic times, when Paul, Jessica, Leto I and everyone of House Atreides were back in Calladan. It feels like Jessica (Pre-Reverend mother) and Leto are looking on in defeat as the future unfolds before them, as their son moves forward trapped by his own future. It beats down the tragedy of House Atreides to us all the more.
"Lead them to paradise" is a powerful sentence. Both means paradise on Arakis, but sending the enemy to paradise by killing them. The 3rd movie is going to be one terrible tragedy!!
I was lucky enough to experience Dune 2 in the cinema room alone with all of strangers had such intense respect for this artwork. We all stood up and clapped for the movie right after it finishes. It was an absolute one in a life time experience. Thank you so much Denis and all the people decided to make this masterpiece
This makes me really hyped for the soundtrack of Dune: Messiah. The music of this movie already was elevated compared to the first one. Imagine how serene and intimate the ending of Dune: Messiah will be, when it's accompanied by Hans Zimmer's Music.
3:50 is where this peaks - the realisation that legions of humans will be killed in Paul's name - and despite being the most powerful being in the universe, he will be powerless to stop this.
in every war many inoents will die, but we should be thankfull for them, because of them many more will have a better life, this is true in the dune fiction world more than in real world sadly.
These movies feel special. The grandfather of Sci-fi finally recognised for all it has done for the genre, and brought to the screen in such a magnificent way. I haven't even read the books, but I feel emotional watching these films, because I think of all the people back in 1965 that had their minds blown and expectations shattered on what a Sci-fi story could be and now, from what I've seen from readers of the book, it's finally gotten an adaptation that conveys the full weight of the story.
I have no one to speak to about everything that happens from 3:56 onwards. In the context of everything that's happened in the score so far. And the film itself up until that point. It's literally one of the most beautiful things I've encountered this entire year 😭🙌🔥❤
I love that it sounds like a lullaby even in the midst of war. Its the perfect tone to capture the real casualty of the story: the Fremen and their way of life
My thought precisely! I think Villeneuve is willing to make a third movie with Dune Messiah. And there are some hints in Dune Part Two that point this way too. Hope it will happen! It would be one of the very best cinematographic trilogy of all time!
Hans Zimmer is a gift in so many ways. I count myself fortunate and blessed to have been following and loving his music for about 40 years, and the movies they're played in, and it's no coincidence that they're all my favorites. Denis is also such a gift, and I fell in love with the movies Bladerunner 2049 and Dune One and Two. But, I have to share that this track (and score) is by far the most beautiful and powerful of all of the songs he's produced IMHO, and it's so fitting as Dune Two was one of the most beautiful and powerful movies I've ever watched. On a different music genre, I can totally see this track being used to create an uplifting and emotional Trance track in the future as the tonalities are perfect for the genre. Thank you for sharing the Soundtrack and Hans Zimmer's beautiful work.
It is honestly close or reaching The Lion King’s majesty, in my opinion his best work. Only Dune 2 gets to this level. Third place is Gladiator. What a genius, Hans Zimmer bravo!!
As the credits rolled, the movie’s final scene left me breathless. The soundtrack, a masterpiece by Hans Zimmer, swelled, enveloping me in a whirlwind of emotions. I’ve witnessed countless film endings, but none quite like this. Zimmer’s ability to craft unforgettable scores.. whether in Gladiator, Batman, or Dunkirk & many others is nothing short of magical.
I have watched it 3 times in a row since it was released in my country on February 28th. This film is very addictive. The visuals are so mesmerizing, it feels dreamy, as if this event could have happened in another life, why this movie felt so real man the world and all in it feels real. even i started beliving it that he is our mahdi, jesus, savior or whatever that will save us from this cruel evil world. it's like I'm in a dream state and you know this is the part of your deja vu that will come in your life sooner or later. this is so magical. and the second time I watched it I got tear in my eyes when Paul gave a speech to take them and lead them to paradise and they put camera on stilgar and i saw his face more tears for me :( and then when he declared war on the great houses and he said "Lead them to paradise" my fist clenched and they put camera on stilgar again fremen triumph spirit embedded to my soul i felt iam part of them 🥺

hehhahahah!
I have seen it and honestly see it pulling a LOTR sweeping 11 Academy awards in 2025
@SoldierXXL Definitely one for Timothée Chalamet.
So is this track at the end of the film? Particularly the later half, as it simply sounds majestic.
Agreed 100 percent. Everyone in my theater saw me crying when the house lights came up.
@@valerimarinov4476the final track in the movie is kiss the ring
Lead them to Paradise.
Still rolling in my head an hour after the ending. This piece is haunting.
Watched it two days ago
What a greatness, 80’s generation got ESB, 2000’s generation got LOTR, this generation have got Dune and glad to be alive to witness this masterpiece of a work
I agree, although I experienced LOTR also! It is up there with that.
Yeah watched dune in full size film imax, what an absolute banger! Nothing will ever top LOTR but this is still above a 9/10.
I was quite annoyed at some of the changes they made. But the soundtrack was great, Hans Zimmer is incredible
A local theater re-ran the LOTR extended trilogy. What an experience 👏
And now Dune :,)
As a youngster, please tell me, what ESB is! ;)
Definitely an Oscar Award winning movie. Made me watched it over and over again both part 1 and 2.
Perfect, just can't wait for part 3.
Clearly you are not Awake , read the book !
Part 3 is gonna be Dune Messiah. It's gonna have some plot twists that are gonna be a surprise.
At the movie end, while everyone went home, I just sat alone to experience the music in IMAX hall. It was so godly.
One of my biggest regrets is that I didn’t. I had to go to the bathroom so bad 😢
@@EdwardMYang had to go first time too but second one I sat all the way to the end.
once I heard the woman's voice I just sat back down and teared up
Me too , after the first time especially with this song playing during the credits in imax my first immediate thought was “I need to watch this movie again” I have it on 4k and it’s still great but nothing will ever beat that imax experience
Can't agree more !
Dude is everywhere and never disappoints.
For me (in terms of movie/TV composers), it’s a tie between him and Joe Hisaishi (with George Fenton and Ben Salisbury not far behind).
No where near the greatest. Listen to more composers, dude.
same musicians came together for this as for Gladiator!
Man, that ending...

@tezzy5584 Jihad can be a type of holy war. It's usually the first thing people translate the word into to understand it.
@@nightraven2975 Nah it's jihad. Jihad is canon. Villeneuve was probably right in thinking that modern audiences are too fragile to handle the source material though.
@@tezzy5584 yep in the books it is Jihad, here I'm quoting Lady Jessica's last line in the movie
@@andrewpandrew7786it’s so true, I was in shock for at least a day. I just wanted it to never stop, going to see it opening night again.
"What's happening, Denis?"
"The film has been released. The longest campaign in Oscar history begins."
I'm fully expecting this to win all the Oscars.
@@jameskevin6017 star wars will be no more ? Is it April Fools or smth ?
Lord of the Rings: "Let me introduce myself"
Our modern day John Williams, the voice and sound of a generation.
John Williams is this generations John Williams haha. I do love Hans Zimmer though, no hate

The product you get when the guys who know and loves the source material, This movie shows Hans and Denise's love for world of Dune.
When the film ended, I had no words. Just the desire for more.
I stayed the longest at the theater to listen to this beautiful song. I didn't want it to finish. Great way to finish Dune Part Two, i had the same feeling when Gladiator finished and Now We Are Free with lisa Gerrard started. This is epic!
Ong I was thinking the same thing! Now We Are Free
Love how Zimmer uses that Gladiator vibe for the best moments.
His use of the Duduk instrument reminded me so much of "Duduk of the North"
That change of the song at 4:00 is just something else that is hard to put into words, truly beautiful.
Has a sort of choral quality to it. Takes my breath away.

Oh poor Chani….

She will come to understand. I have seen it.
@@Cbart23As written
I still don't understand the part of a vision where she kills him in the first movie. Is that going to happen or what?
@@ppgod6989Probably not. Most likely it was just a metaphorical vision. Paul has to die for Kwisatz Haderach to rise. His vision showed Chani killing him, but there is also the line, "When you take a life, you take your own."
By killing Jamis, Paul died and began his transformation into the Kwisatz Haderach.
@@RaviPatel-lb7uc hmm that does make sense , they also showed jamis killing paul right before he killed him so I guess you're right!
1:20 her voice changing into the instrument... this piece is so mesmerizing
It is Guthrie Govan and his electric guitar...❤❤ Probably Hans Zimmer's best soloist along with Pedro Eustache playing the flute.
Glad I'm not the only one who noticed❤
Watched it yesterday.
I got very emotional when I resized the movie was actually made for those who read the book. Which is rare nowadays. Lots of references made me joyful and emotional. And during the credits, I was pinned to my seat. Couldn't even flinch. Watch the entire credits in teary eyes...

It captures the message that frank Herbert was telling with this story perfectly
Yes!
I watched this movie last night and honestly it has to be one of the best movies I have ever seen in my life. The story itself is iconic given its based off such a popular book but the real triumph is how Denis translated it to the big screen with the actors, sound design and visuals. It is a classic and a modern masterpiece. Forget Sci-Fi masterpiece this is a movie that is essential viewing for every movie lover: young and old.
never have i ever been so happy to work in a cinema that i could have listened to this credits masterpiece for at least a month twice a day, thx denis thx hans
This piece is stunning. It gives me Gladiator/Lord of the Rings vibes, but with that alien touch that makes the Dune soundtrack so special. Absolutely cannot wait to watch this film.

I hope you watched because it’s this generations LOTR no doubt
I've been listening to this song to treat some heartbreak. For some reason, it soothes the emotional pain.
This was one of the most powerful cinema moments I have experienced so far.
The final shot in the end before the credits will never go away in my head
I saw it in the theater, as soon as the movie ended, this soundtrack started, tears came to my eyes, I felt like crying.
that crescendo at 5 minutes is generational to me and solidified this movie as one of the best sci fi movies in the past couple of decades, walking out of the theatre.
Hans Zimmer a legend of this era.
This beautiful music deserves THE OSCAR AWARD PLEASES
🙏🏆🙏🏆🙏🏆🙏🏆🙏🏆🙏🏆🙏🏆
I've seen this movie twice and I want to see it a third, fourth, fifth time. There's something about it. One of the all-time greats. Go see it if you haven't.
I had to force myself to stop listening to this. Besides being the best theme from the movie, it’s also the theme to Chani and Paul’s relationship. I never expected to feel such profound sadness when reliving this score. We’re so blessed to get to experience this. Thanks to Hans and his collaborators!
same - such sadness for the two of them, it's beautful and heartbreaking at the same time
My favorite track in Part One was My Road Leads Into The Desert but the best part for me was the small melody that plays for about 30 seconds before the next shot of them walking into the Desert.
Hans Zimmer is the greatest composer ever
Very strong show with strong characters and aspiring sound effects and music. All around A++++
RESPECT !
2024 is going to be historic as people from the future will come to listen this masterpiece just like we revisit some of the past epic tunes..
much of Hans Zimmer work is actually very slow and building chord progressions. Kind of simple but profoundly emotional and so well developed and slowly built up. the end of this song is one of his best. literal goosebumps. Music is all about how you feel, and no one does it better than Hans Zimmer.
This is to perfect, music is life music is everything
“ I will love you for as long as I breathe “
Dune Part Two is one of the most perfect amazing movies that ive seen in years. This score 🔥🔥🔥

@@AngelofMusic04 yeah which shows how awesome Frank is
I wish this played during the film and not just the credits.
The Benet Gesserit singing up until the second half, and then the sudden realization that the Kwisatz Haderach has ascended...tragic.

This makes me really hyped for the soundtrack of Dune: Messiah. The music of this movie already was elevated compared to the first one. Imagine how serene and intimate the ending of Dune: Messiah will be, when it's accompanied by Hans Zimmer's Music.
This song is just so beautiful. Hans Zimmer's brilliance is second to none

3:50 is where this peaks - the realisation that legions of humans will be killed in Paul's name - and despite being the most powerful being in the universe, he will be powerless to stop this.
It’s a holy war. It’s gods will! As the Romans said - Deus Vult!
in every war many inoents will die, but we should be thankfull for them, because of them many more will have a better life, this is true in the dune fiction world more than in real world sadly.
Its the perfect tone to capture the real casualty of the story: the Fremen and their way of life
4:52 through to the end practically screams Dune Messiah.
My thought precisely! I think Villeneuve is willing to make a third movie with Dune Messiah. And there are some hints in Dune Part Two that point this way too. Hope it will happen! It would be one of the very best cinematographic trilogy of all time!
the theme that summarizes dune messiah is holy war
Hans Zimmer is a legend when it comes to making movie soundtracks.
I think this might be the best piece of music Hans Zimmer has ever written (maybe I'm getting carried away!) But it is a masterpiece.
It is honestly close or reaching The Lion King’s majesty, in my opinion his best work. Only Dune 2 gets to this level. Third place is Gladiator. What a genius, Hans Zimmer bravo!!
Gladiator! Now we are free

The emotions of this movie, this soundtrack and the epic story of Dune are almost too much to consume. Simply beautiful in every way
As the credits rolled, the movie’s final scene left me breathless.

My favorite from the album. Love the weight of the cue, and the inspiring but tragic atmosphere.
