    13:30 IrisVision Inspire vs IrisVision Live
    Low vision wearables are becoming more and more popular, and IrisVision have been leaders in the market with their excellent IrisVision Live VR style device. Rather than resting on their laurels though they have just released a new device, designed from the ground up and with some great new ideas!
    Enter the IrisVision Inspire, a brand new design that is lighter and more attractive, and gives us a glimpse into the future of wearable electronic magnifiers. But how does it stack up to IrisVision's legacy device, IrisVision Live? Has IrisVision's gamble to design a device from the ground up paid off for them?
    There's only one way to find out! Check out the video, and see what we think :-)

    This vision impairment that I have is going to be my new normal. This video I just found is giving me hope that I will see my kids grow up. Thank you for this technology may it only get better.

    I love your video thank you for bringing this technology to us. I’m looking for something very much like this but I want OCR part of the package. I was curious about the phone could you use third-party apps with the glasses. Like money reader or a barcode reader.

    • @VisionForwardTechConnect

      You can use third party apps on the phone, but they won't integrate with the glasses in any way at the moment

      Thanks! Yes, you can use it while charging and you can connect it to an external battery for further power when on the go.

    Hi. Thanks a lot for your video! My father needs this kind of device and I found IrisVision Inspire could be very helpful. I can see you have other device reviews. Which do you think is the best?

    • @VisionForwardTechConnect
      @VisionForwardTechConnect  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Ignacio, it's hard to say as each individual has their own preference. The only way to know would be for your father to try out some different devices to get a feel for which works best for him.

      No, that was a side effect of trying to film the screens. I believe the retail is somewhere around $4000

    In prior videos you had said the Irisvision Live was very good in low light. Did you test the Irisvision Inspire in low light? If so how well does it do in low light?

    • @VisionForwardTechConnect
      @VisionForwardTechConnect  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I meant to test that and mention it in the video but it completely slipped my mind. The Inspire does have an LED light on the front for low light conditions, but I'm not sure how adaptive the camera is to low light. I'll test it when I'm back in the office next week and let you know.

    • @VisionForwardTechConnect
      @VisionForwardTechConnect  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Okay, I tried out low light performance this morning, and the Inspire is definitely inferior to the Live in this regard. It doesn't brighten then image up in anywhere near the same way.

    Wearables have all had a problem of viewing at a distance. How does Inspire perform in distance viewing compared to the Irisvision VR headset? Is clarity better at a distance?

    • @VisionForwardTechConnect
      @VisionForwardTechConnect  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Charlie, what issues have you had with distance viewing? I would say the Inspire is worse unfortunately, as it is more pixellated at higher magnifications than the IrisVision Live.

    • @charliepryer6026
      @charliepryer6026 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@VisionForwardTechConnect I have experienced problems with all wearables viewing at distances of 20 feet and greater. I am in constant search of a wearable with good clarity at greater distance. I have tried eSight 3, seeBOOST, IrisVision Live headset, Gear VR with Relumino. Thank you for reviewing IrisVision Inspire and for your reply.

    • @VisionForwardTechConnect
      @VisionForwardTechConnect  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@charliepryer6026 No worries! The trouble is that these wearables use digital cameras, and inevitably as they zoom in they become pixellated. Give it time and increased resolutions will solve this issue.

    this "device" ain't that great, certainly not $3995 worth of great, you can get that smartphone for as little as $700 even less if it's on contract, if we were able to just by the headset and use our own phones and download software it'd be way more affordable and accessible to more people who need them instead of trying to profiteer off of the disadvantaged who are more likely not to be able to pay the asking price
