I have a problem with this song, Margaret Glaspy. And the problem is that I’ve listened to it dozens of times and now it’s stuck in my head ALL the time! How do I make it stop haha
This song is like hearing the other side of the story - not the usual heartbroken lover lyrics we are often exposed too... and. Kodallines “All I want” and this song could have been the same story at some point - 2 people who collided paths, the other who didn’t care... and of course only hearing the narrative of one perspective will limit our understanding of the truth... And the difference of responses to their “breakup” range from “if you love me, why’d you leave me?” (him) to “Tomorrow I won’t give a fuck.” (Her)... crazy! And isn’t it tragically funny that both could feel the way the other feels but towards different people... we never understand the other person... because we just never align most of the time.
I love the part of the video where she's getting her nails done. I just saw this video yesterday and the amount of times I've watched it has got to be at least in the teens by now!
Saw her open for Lake street dive and really liked her music. Her voice reminds me of the best parts or the girl from sylvan esso and the singer from Manchester orchestra put together! Also really talented to open a show all alone, that takes guts!
There’s only one guitar on this, and I agree the sound is brilliant. The whole album is tastefully recorded and arranged just like this song. Unfortunately not all the songs are as good as this one, imo

Saw her in KS a day or two ago, she opened for Andrew Bird and The Lumineers. Man she can sing, one of those few artists that can actually sing live. I heard this one and another song to add to my collection hehe aside from Emotions and Math. No "I was there" selfies for me though...
I like her music, but honestly I love this one song on a higher level. Her writing, her guitar, and her band all come together for an Alanis Morrissette-style groove. She should expand on this type of song. It's also in the direction of Kelly's "Since You Been Gone."
