I spent 4 years in the USAF in the mid 70's. The F-16 and the F-15 were just being introduced. The mainstay fighter at that time was the F-4. I recall them showing us a film of a F-4 and F-15 taking off on parallel runways at the same time. The F-15 got in the air first, accelerated and shot straight up to 10,000 feet, did a loop and dove on the F-4 just as it was lifting off from the runway. They've only made it even better in the 5 decades since.
Thank you for your service. Sometimes I feel like I'm the oldest one here and I'm in my early 40s. I was a teenager when these two were born, and you were out being awesome before I was born.

Yeah, it’s literally the entire point of reaction videos. Anyone that complains about that instead of just watching the original video is dumb enough to touch our boats while raising gas prices.
Interesting fact. The F-15 Eagle was used in the 1983 Japanese toy line Diaclone for their transforming figures. They were sold in both gray and red and white and blue paint schemes, both of which were imported by Hasbro to become part of the first year of the Transformers toy line in 1984 as Starscream and Thundercracker. More paint schemes would be used and created to create more of these clones, and because of them sharing the same body type as Starscream, they have become collectively known as the Seekers. Safe to say, the F-15 Eagle is most definitely nostalgic and popular amongst Transformers fans old and new
The Airforce actually has an F-15 named Starscream for that reason, complete with Decepticon symbol. And to be clear, that is the name of the plane, not the callsign of the pilot.
I had just been in the USAF for a year when the Eagles started coming online. We were still using F-4 Phantoms as front line fighters. A-10s came on in the next year replacing the A-4 Corsair. Marine Corp Harriers were just coming on line around then too.
McChord Air Force Base in Tacoma, aka, JBLM, was home to the 318th Fighter Interceptor Squadron known as the Green Dragons. Every year the base would put on an airshow free to the public. The 318th would have a mock demonstration of an intercept mission where one of the F-15s would start rolling at the far south end of the runway. By the time it was at the halfway point it would already be airborne with gear up and full afterburner. As it passed show center it would pull straight up, the flames from the afterburners would hit the runway as it rocketed straight up and out of sight in just a few seconds. Sadly the 318th disbanded in the mid 80s, some aircraft ended up in Portland. I still miss seeing them at the shows.
PDX has a bees nest of F15s! I see and or hear groups of them almost everyday. I have heard they can get to the coast from PDX in under three minutes. Love having them around!
Although I was in the Navy, the F-15 will be my favorite aircraft of all time. I was around 11 or 12 when I went to an air show and I saw the F-15 do it's air show. For me it's still the most amazing machine I have seen in action...especially the going literally 90 degree vertical immediately after take off until you couldn't see it anymore. Most planes would stall. That show, this plane is what got me interested in science and math and the military.
I was driving across the Lake Worth bridge near the Joint Reserve Base next to Fort Worth, Texas one afternoon when an F-18 flying low over the water approached the bridge. About 100 yards away from me the pilot suddenly turned the nose of the plane straight up. It took off, literally, like a rocket, the exhaust churned the water up as the jet surged upwards. The sound was deafening, and glancing up I could see it was still vertical though by now it was probably at least 1/2 mile up. It was really cool to see!
I worked in the Non-Destructive Inspection (NDI). Did a lot of inspections on it. Incredible aircraft. It went from takeoff to, I don’t know 60,000 feet or something climb record. Got to go to McDonnell Douglas and see how they are built. I was being trained on inspections of the aircraft as well as the engines.
It's 64,000 ft to be exact, at one point one of the Eagles was stripped of everything including its paint and name Streak Eagle it broke several altitude records including one at over 103,000 feet
My cousin flew the F-15C and F-15E for over 15 years. His Air Force career ended when he was hit by a drunk driver and lost his leg below the knee. He has matched the Time to Climb record of 3 minutes and 27 seconds from a standstill on the runway to an altitude of 98,425 feet or 30,000 meters. The aircraft can reach speeds of 1,900 miles per hour and accelerate through the sound barrier going straight up.
That F-15 is at the National Museum of the USAF, to set the record they stripped it down, to the point it wasn't even painted. Although, that may be a semi classified record, like the SR-71{official speed record about 2200 knots, but in reality 2500+)
my dad worked for McDonnell Douglas when they came off the line.. he worked as a field and service mechanic. Occasionally he would wave in the test pilots when they came in for a landing. The F15 program put a lot of food on the table for many in our region.

"The Bunker Busting Howitzer Bomb that Ended Desert Storm", "Biggest Logistical Flex Of All Time - Berlin Airlift" and "Wrecking & Trolling The Germans With A Wooden Plane - DH-98 Mosquito" are all excellent watches.
I've mentioned episodes on the last TFE vid you had. "the Submarine that sank a train" "The Infamous Eager Beavers & Their Custom B17 Bomber ' "America's Airborne Anti-hero" "America Dismantles Pirate Nations For Touching Their Boats"
All of his videos are excellent, but some of my favorites are the underground cheese caves, Samuel Whitmore, and Lewis Millett and bayonet Hill. Keep the reactions coming!

I work near an Air Base where AirForce pilots take advanced fighter pilot training. Seeing two Flights of 4 F-15's taking off and landing is something I love about my job. Ive been with the company since the 90's and still look up whenever they take off just to see how long i can spot them before the disappear off into the sky.
I was stationed at Seymour Johnson AFB in North Carolina and I was deployed with the F-15E that dropped a bomb on a moving helicopter “487”. It was the pride of the 335th Fighter Squadron “Chiefs”. F-15’s are just badass! Edit: I have also been stationed at RAF Lakenheath which is in the UK. Just letting you know, you have USAF F-15s in your backyard 😂.
I can't say that I have a top three, or even top five videos of his. I love his videos too much. Because I'm from Texas, I really enjoyed his battleship Texas video. I have to say that his videos on the mosquito and the British fighter Ace from world war II are outstanding, and if you want some good old-fashioned British patriotism, I would watch those. Another fun one is the submarine that sunk a train. Apparently, that really happened. If you want to know about some war heroes, there's Sergeant Dan Daily, The ghost of baton, and Jake McNasty McNeese. Some really funny ones are the ones he does about the different weapons platforms, IE America's a blunderbuss, and the one on the Colt 1911 pistol. All of them are really good though. Have fun! I really enjoy y'all's videos immensely and can't wait to see videos of y'all visiting the USA, especially Texas. I also can't wait to see you guys reacting to more of the fat electrician.
Hi Beesleys, Dean Carrigan here from Detroit Mich. , I am adescendant of English isles mostly . One of my ancestors was actually on the Mayflower ; original pilgrim from England. Anyway here are my 3 suggestions for fat electrician. #1 Dan Daily most gangstar marine ever. #2 is Warhorse which is story of only animal to actually be inducted into military and won medals too , lots of animals are honorary members but he was a actual member & saved many lives. #3 is ghost of battaan who was hero in phillipines after Japan attack on pearl harbor. All 3 are great stories !!!....see ya Beesleys , Ive been watching for years !!!

They're literally had to be nothing left of that helicopter after I got hit by that damn bomb! There couldn't have been many big parts to find of that thing lol.
In 1975, an F-15 "Streak Eagle" set eight time-to-climb records including from sea level to 9,000 meters (29,685 feet) in just 48.86 seconds,, an altitude which would take a typical jet airliner more than 15 minutes. Nearly 50 years later, its records still stand.
It's entertaining seeing people who don't know about this kind of thing and being shocked when they find out. Another good one is Ward Carroll interviewing the pilot of an A-10 who took major damage (would have instantly downed most aircraft) and made it back to base. Her squadron commander said he couldn't have made that perfect of a landing in an intact aircraft
FT was alluding to the all new F-15EX, foreign customers of the F-15 wanted upgrades and paid for the research, and so many of those research products ended up in an all new F-15, the F-15EX, FT asked if we wanted him to look into that and I think we should? A new American fighter made largely with foreign investments, YES!
if i remember right, it's also got a ' stealth ' paint coating. ( not as effective as F22 or F35 but better then nothing ) which is why it has a dark grey almost black coloring compared to Eagles of old.
I have a friend who is a retired F-15C pilot and everything I've heard from her about it makes me wish I could have one of my own, she misses flying it pretty badly and I can't blame her!
I like y'all's reactions. It's interesting to see how people from other countries view the US military. US and UK will forever be the most formidable military duo on the planet.
It was nice to see James actually listen to Millie's input in this video. It was also nice for her not to just assume things. She worked out the calculations correctly. And for a new mother, that is harder than any man like us can understand.
He has a lot of great videos. I would recommend: - “The most gangster marine of all time” about Dan Daly - “The last warchief” about Joe Medicine Crow - “America dismantles pirate nations” about founding the US Navy to fight Barbary pirates - “The biggest logistical flex of all time” about the Berlin Airlift
The State of Oregon's Oregon Air National Guard fly F15's out of my home town flight facility, Portland International Airport. One of only two major US airports that share their runways with a guard unit. It is breathtaking, to say the least, to see F15's come off of the runway and then immediately go near vertical. And the sound --- OMG --- , incredibly loud. Also, they take off in pairs, which is something different than the daily normal. They'll be flying the F15EX soon, and the new F35's as well.
They were the ones who were scrambled to Seattle, when that airline employee stole the plane in 2018. Both F-15 pilots requested to go supersonic and made it there in 10 minutes. 😮
Our "local" airport, RDU International shares its Gen Av side with Civil Air Patrol and an Army National Guard unit that has Longbow Apache helicopter units.
Loving watching your videos, had to comment for this one because the F-15 is my favorite fighter jet. So glad to see more of the Fat Electrician video reacts!!
I forget the title, but his video about the Seebees stealing a train is pretty cool. And if you haven't already, the video about the last war chief. Because an elephant is not a horse. FYI: A-10s have lost more and landed safely.
Word of advice watching more of his videos: watch all the way to the end of the video past the credits. He usually either has more jokes or actual footage of whatever the topic was. You're going to miss a lot of content if you keep pausing before the video is finished.
You can't go wrong with any of his videos. They're all great videos, but The most gangster marine of all time Dan Daly and America's War Horse Sargent Reckless are very good videos
A bit late since it is after Christmas, however his Toys For Tots video is great. When he gets to his favorite Christmas story, I can say it is totally true because it happened while I was still on active duty.
If you want to learn about a some other planes with some other shorter videos, I would recommend his videos on the A-1 Sky Raider and the A-37 Dragonfly. These planes plus the P-47 Thunderbolt, could be argued as the early development of the A-10 Thunderbolt II, AKA the warthog, in some design elements and its close air support role.
My father was a F15 bomber (its been build into fighter-bomber versions) and I have teased him that he has never flown a plane for the US Air Force and is no aviator. He's a rocketship man =D
It’s never a war crime the first time
😂😂😂
I have the War Crimes Christmas sweater. It got tons of laughs from both Chubby Electron Guy fans and military folks.
And sometimes it's not a war crime the second, third, fourth.... etcetera. Depending on how many times you can pull it off before someone calls foul

I think the EX has fly by wire. So it will be easier to fly and likely even more maneuverable. I sure other electronics were improved too.
I saw a picture after the accident where it lost its wing. Most of it’s wing was gone. There was about about a foot and a half left.
Strongly recommend The Last Dreadnaught The USS Texas
love the fat electrician, keep them coming
Thanks for the great hard work!!
His longer videos are gems also!
As an F-15 crew chief in the '80s, I would have to agree it's gangster.
As F-15 C-Shop from ‘80 - ‘00, (A thru E models), I wholeheartedly agree!
I have a friend who is a retired F-15C pilot and everything I've heard from her about it makes me wish I could have one of my own, she misses flying it pretty badly and I can't blame her!
I'm so glad you guys found the fat electrician, he's dope AF 😂
Screw whoever says you talk too much. Point is: you don’t. We want to hear more.😊
I love Fat Electrician! Thanks guys!
A good one to react to is "The last war chief - Joe Medicine Crow"
You ain't lived until you are near an airport and a fight breaks the sound barrier and ask the car alarms go off
Just watch all of them. There all great. I will have them running in the back ground on their own playlist for hours while im doing other things.
Speaking of dragging it out, LET'S GO!
If you guys want to see some take off in England got to RAF Lakenheath and there's a viewing area off of the A1065
"this is the US we don't make sense we make dollars" LOLOL dying over here! 'Murica!
I would recommend:
- “The most gangster marine of all time” about Dan Daly
- “The last warchief” about Joe Medicine Crow
- “America dismantles pirate nations” about founding the US Navy to fight Barbary pirates
- “The biggest logistical flex of all time” about the Berlin Airlift
Nice!@@ghowell13
Loving watching your videos, had to comment for this one because the F-15 is my favorite fighter jet. So glad to see more of the Fat Electrician video reacts!!
I think they eventually put the same engine in the F14. It wasn't at fast I think because it was a lot heavier. Thats a mean Cat!!
The BAC Lightning was one of Britain Fastest Jets MACH 2
If you guys can find a video of them, a video on the F-14 Tomcat, a video on the F-22 Raptor, and the Cobra helicopter.
The old F-Phantom II one Pilot told me, even without wings it was proof that a brick could fly with those engines used on it.
The F-15 is like the muscle car of jets. It’s being upgraded as I type this
A bit late since it is after Christmas, however his Toys For Tots video is great. When he gets to his favorite Christmas story, I can say it is totally true because it happened while I was still on active duty.
Do all of them. I have already seen ever video he has made. But I love seeing other people reaction to him.
There are 2 versions from him. The short and sweet likebyou reviewed, and the long stories which are much more in depth. Both are great.
1900 MPH Thats from NY to Los Angeles in 2 hours, standard airliner 6 hours
TFE started off doing shorts on Tick Toc & he brought them over to TH-cam. There are a bunch and all of them need to be binged!
The exact F-15E that scored the air to air kill with a 1 ton laser guided bomb is still in active service at an airbase near where I live.
I suggest you watch some of his old military reviews. I know they are a bit short but you can always just watch a few back to back.
My father was a F15 bomber (its been build into fighter-bomber versions) and I have teased him that he has never flown a plane for the US Air Force and is no aviator. He's a rocketship man =D
You should watch the Berlin airlift video and the RAF videos where he highlights some of the accomplishments of your fellow British countrymen!
If you haven't watched the eggnog riot it is A MUST WATCH
Wish they comment after the show
Always let his videos play till the end, sometimes there's bonus footage.
