How are you doing now? Did you end up falling? I felt like discovering him for me was like a cliff dive. Walking up to the cliff was starting to listen to his music and then falling for him as a personality was the cliff dive.
He has dark circles under his eyes and looks pretty tired here - his work ethic and performance schedule are unreal and he says in another interview that it's "make hay while the sun shines". Very generous and gracious of him to be doing all these interviews so we get to know him better... Hard to believe he's only 24... such an articulate and intelligent, well-spoken, lovely man...
I so agree with you. I saw him in concert on Feb 15th here in Vancouver, Canada and he was so sweet and humble in person. The audience was crazy for him in the sold out show. I hope he doesn't have problems with his vocal chords as he is touring relentlessly (and it seems like he's not taking too much time off). Cheers!
This, both part 1 and 2, is the best interview I have watched with andrew hozier-byrne. It has parts of the past, his music, background, certain songs, actual thoughts he has on his own music and other music....very great questions, especially in comparison to other more popular interviews done with him. I actually got to learn stuff about him.
Its about time!!! This is the first interview I've found where someone is actually Hozier worth while questions. I was getting so tired of hearing shite interviews asking him superficial questions.
I love when he talks about making music he can feel close to. It goes to show that when you stay true to who you are, instead of trying to sound, act, play some other way, or like someone else, your genuineness comes through.
I love Cowboy Song by Thin Lizzy! Andrew's an amazing singer, and very talented. I love the fact that his live songs sound exactly like the studio recording (which is very rare nowadays).
Lovely interview, much more interesting than some of the questions I've heard people ask him lately- but am I the only one who just wishes they could reach in there and push that water bottle about an inch to the left?
The start of this video, for how it was filmed or i don't know what, brought to my head those porn videos in which the girls are shortly interviewed before actual animal sex. A little random, but he's adorable and so talented, yes.
That water bottle on the edge of the table represents how close I am to falling for this man

I always love it when/how he says 'erm' instead of 'um'. Irish accents are so cute..
I love how in this interview they didn't only ask him about take me to church.
love his eyes

Poor thing, he looks exhausted.
I love this man's music. I hope he stays humble and always keeps his focus on the music.
I love how he's always touching his hair haha

Love Hozier? Head over to Soar Sounds right now to catch his amazing live performance of "From Eden" - Tash, Sofar
Hozier is the artist of the century ,he rocks the world!
"I had my finger in a lot of pies..." what?! Must be an Irish saying lol. Gotta get my mind out the gutter...
it probably is an irish saying.
it also probably means exactly what you're thinking.
It's a common saying in Canada too; it only means you're busy working on a whole lot of projects.
