Nice interview! I think the question if he is gay himself is not that awkward in this context because the interviewer is interested in his motive to advocate for the LGBT community. The fact that he doesn't have a personal reason for it, says a lot about how strong his opions are on this subject.
I dont know why, but i think everytime hozier comes into a room, people just cant believe them eyes, even males, like they seemed stunned by him, i mean i dont judge, because i trust my instincts that we all, make excitement faces trough our screens, when we see him in a video, so imagine them, anyways that woman is looking at hozier like a slice of ham in a caricature. I'd be veeeery intimidated if someone (male or female) looked me that way during an interview, i couldn't even answer the questions out of anxiety. i dont know how could he, either way my hero right? ps: sorry for the long comment, i had to get it out.
Love Hozier, not just his music, which is amazing, but his philosophy as well.. Open up people, stop the lies & the pretence, be what you are.. On a side note, that interviewer is one of the best i've ever seen.. Comes across as not in love with himself & genuinely cares about the topics he's discussing, good stuff..
His voice is pure perfection. His tone is amazing. The live recordings sound just like the studio. There is a live version of “ it will come back” that is truly amazing.
I don't like how that woman across the table is oogling my man. Lol it's kinda distracting the faces she's making at him! This was a good interview, Hozier is ever the charming lad... I gotta find that old French vid of him...
Isn't it kind of weird for someone to ask an artist if he's gay like out in the public especially on tv? i mean some people might not be comfortable to share and the way he asked Hozier i thought it was a little bit offensive
The question of if he was gay might seem awkward, but I think he's asking it knowing the answer and to show that you can be concerned and active about lgbtq-rights without being part of the community yourself.
Is it okay to outright ask someone if they're gay? I mean, it's very forward but he didn't mean badly. It just seemed really off, and unexpected. I'd feel uncomfortable if somebody asked me similar. I don't know? It's a bit wacko?
It's rocky territory in a live interview bc some people are closeted and aren't comfortable answering but under pressure would have to say they're straight to protect themselves
Jesus that woman is embarrassing. Women have had the uncomfortable unsettling experience of being hungered at like that from men, and it's just awful. God bless him for not making eye contact. I think he could feel her energy aimed right at him. He remains poised no matter how nervous.
The woman accross the table just can't handle herself. Hozier looks cool and humble as always !!

im gonna cry he is so smart and so sweet i wanna hug him

Which live version? The Birmingham show?
I don't like how that woman across the table is oogling my man. Lol it's kinda distracting the faces she's making at him! This was a good interview, Hozier is ever the charming lad...
I gotta find that old French vid of him...
Omg she is so creepy
ooouuu français. why video are you talking about
lol that woman is thirsty for hozier
I thought so too!😂😂😂😂
omg this interview XD "are you gay yourself" you can feel the awkward
Hozier is a very very talented artist (also sooooo cute) his whole album is a real gem !!!!
Yeah she's super creepy! He must have just avoided eye contact with her. Don't take her to church she'll steal your soul!!
I like how everywhere else he calls it a song about sex. Then here he calls it about "loving someone" a few times before calling it being about sex.
This interview is so good! The interviewer is great at his job.
he's adorable :3
ตามมาเหมือนกัน5555 รักฮีอ่าาาาเนอะๆๆๆ
เราเป็นติ่ง hozeir อิอิ
I think we were lead here by the same 'Guess The Man Bun' vid cuz I just saw your comment there lol
Jackie H i'm totally obsessed with him ;P
right?! same. he's perfect. he's like a poetic lumberjack which is kinda flawless...
That woman is me every time I meet Hozier or go to a concert😂😅 He just elicits that kind of reaction
I can’t move on from the “are you gay” question and how he responded. 😆
What a great interview! Thanks for putting it up
Why is he sooooo amazing???
...because he is so intelligent!
Isn't it kind of weird for someone to ask an artist if he's gay like out in the public especially on tv? i mean some people might not be comfortable to share and the way he asked Hozier i thought it was a little bit offensive
Hozier, ye are wonderful here! I love you. Your viewpoints are a blessing too and you are super handsome. Great video and song in French too!

Thank you !
haha look how mazed she was by anuna , Andrews getting down tonight
Yeah she's seriously impressed by him!
She must be religious though, she stops looking so amazed when he explains the meaning of "take me to church" ahaha
great interview Hosier
he looks like an angel with a halo of light around him in the opening sequence
8:13 that look of visible confusion
From where the first take me to church video is from?
He looks so young here...adorable 😜
the woman across the table is mood af
but like can we talk about how many times he looks at the girl in black.
I think it’s cause there is a delay because she’s having what he’s saying interpreted to her.
