    Tesa sensitive tape as well is great for masking. Not cheap a roll but quality.
    Frog tape diy disaster.
    All the old school painters are great, even after a few special brews!
    Top job and finish as always robin. The end is near.

    Mark started on the lead, then the spirit and now he is on the slippery road to acrylic.
    Emulsion, it's a gateway paint.

      @@peterfitzpatrick7032 Never used Lead but oil for many years, now it's all acrylic finishes. The best primers are still oil or shellac based though.

      The closest I've found to an oil based in water based is Benjamin Moore advance.

      There's no a chance of that.! Traditional Painter charges an absolute fortune.! No 'tricks of the trade' from them...

    I hope this is seen as constructive criticism as I generally love watching your videos. I felt this was a missed opportunity to see a master craftsman in his element and we actually came away with nothing more than the edging tape he uses.

    Shame we didn’t get some footage of Mark painting but I guess maybe he didn’t want to be on camera. Could of been a nice 20 second wrap at the end. Can’t wait to see the finished kitchen it’s already looking great. Thanks Dylan and roger as ever for putting together

      Mark would have been happier being filmed demonstrating his craft. Talking about it and not showing anything was an error. We try our hardest to be hands on

    Love to see Mark putting down some of that paint. I was advised against painting the kitchen units because spray paints have better hardeners. So interesting on the pure acrylic
    Paint is an art. Like all the guys who do things well. I have seen jobs that a drunk diy’er could have done in the dark. Other’s wow that is a finish

    Wish you went into more detail, educate the general public on hand painting kitchen we never heard of the brushes he uses either I wonder would he show us what and why he uses it. He seems to also have an interior designer instinct “open plan so it can take a deep colour “ very interesting guy and only 4 minutes ☹️ you made a fine job of the place Robin mate top notch

    I would like to see how he paints. Does he use a roller or brush, or roller then brush finish. What size brush( maybe 65mm). Is it a semi gloss/satin finish. Its a lovely job.Thanks

    I never agreed with the whole if you can piss you can paint...just because you own a brush doesn't mean you are a tradesmen.

      jason antigua ye he must also charge a fortune with the amount of weeks or months it’s taken. Not to mention the customers with no kitchen lol. They is taking time and making sure it’s done right but then you have taking the piss.

    If I'd have known the camera crew was turning up I would have had a shave :) It's been noted before that I resemble Spike when I have some stubble. It's nerve wracking on camera to say the least!! I'm going back to Capel soon to do the utility and see the finished kitchen. The paint I used on the job was from Tikkurila a paint company from Finland and the brushes were from Corona (US Brand) for some strange reason they are not selling like they used to ;)

      Mark, thanks for taking the time to go on camera at all. Corona brushes I've heard of. Have you used Purdy and if so what's your thoughts? You must be stocking up on brushes now they're probably down in price? 😂

      @@SteS The monarch elite used to be my go to brush but they are not as good as they used to be, maybe cheaper production process. People rate the sprigs from them . For a mid priced brush that is really good value, have a look at Wooster Silvertips, they are better than a lot of more expensive brushes.

      Check the comments. Mark wrote that he uses Corona brushes from the US. They're probably cheap as chips now 😂
