Glad to hear you’re on the mend mate take care and enjoy your multistrada ✊️
Good to see you back Andy. I work in the UK health service so see first hand some of the consequences of diabetes. I don't think folks that have no experience of this condition realise how serious it can be. Glad to see you're on the mend. Nice bike although I'm really not a fan of those rear mudguards hanging out behind the back wheel.
I have a white 2015 and that little fender comes off easy ! Bike looks KILLER with it off !!!😀😀😀😀🏍🏍🏍🍺🍺🍺
Congrats on getting the Multistrada.
Glad you are recovering and more importantly, well done on giving up cigarettes.
Mighty Fancey! Man glad to see you back! I work in hospital, Diabetes does not play! Glad you quit the poison sticks you will be so much the better for it.
I'm type two, diagnosed in the late 90's. I have had a series of Docs, most from the Veteran's Administration, who have decided to keep me alive, against my best efforts. This past spring I made huge changes in my life style and eating/ drinking habits. I've lost about 50 pounds, and my blood work is ALL in normal range. After three weeks my new life seemed normal (I thought I would miss beer much more than I do!). I rewarded myself with bicycles since I already have nearly a dozen motorcycles (some which even run... the Aprilia some how tipped over while on the lift, the whole shootin' match laying sideways on the shop floor. It will need paint, but all the broken bits are now replaced. Health is easy to ignore----until you can't. You've been such a leader with men's health issues for all of us. Time to focus on yourself.
I’d ignore all the negative comments Andy, it’s your bike and you can do as you wish with it. Hope you have many happy miles with it. 👍
Pleased to hear you’re on the mend, great new bike. Look after yourself and stay healthy
Congrats on the new bike.. Good on you for kicking smoking, my dad died of lung cancer. Good luck with your recovery..
We only live once Andy, glad you're recovering and now you've got a cracking bike to enjoy 👍
Well done on ditching the smoking. Hey another trick is accidentally leaving key in the lock to release the seat.
The bike will start because of the keyless design and with vibration while riding the little bugger while rattle out.
Congratulations on your new bike too.
For a six-year-old bike, that's mint! Good find. Enjoy your antipodean spring and summer. And look after those pinkies! 🦶
Get better soon, enjoy your ride and life...
I have been a fan of, and owned many examples of the other Ducati you have. By a strange coincidence I have also bought 3 Multistrada over the last few months, but the older 1000DS ones.
Congrats on the new bike mate she looks great, congrats on giving up the darts too, and best wishes for a full recovery !
Sorry to hear about your health hope you get better soon Andy
You will not be disappointed with that rig mate. I had the 1260s 2018 version for 3 years and absolutely loved it. The missus also loved it and we were gutted when she went but broke my arm and shoulder so badly don’t have the strength to ride it anymore.
I been thinking , i wonder if Andy has a new video out , cuz i have not seen anything pop up lately. So here we are, and i am sorry to hear about your foot . That sounds terrible, and being in the hospital is never any fun . Best wishes for a complete recovery , and Ride on. Also like the new bike, its pretty cool !
I'm still riding my 2011 Ducati multistrada 1200s it has almost 45,000 km and running awesome I do regular maintenance change oil twice a riding season love my bike 🏍 😎
Take it easy, matey.Enjoy your new toy.All the best.
Good to see you back here from rainy Netherlands!
Great to hear your health is on the improve Andy. Like me you are not one to listen to doctors too well and could have a bigger issue for you thankfully are on the mend. You are obviously very impressed with the Multistrada and it's clearly impressive performance so continue to enjoy it and hopefully we shall see more vids of you scooting around Tas with a smile on your dial. I'm hoping for a trip down there in November fingers crossed to get my fix of Tassie roads.
Fantastic to see you back and with a multi…. My story was similar…. bladder cancer, major surgery, recovery and my gift to myself was a 2015 Multistrada…. so bloody happy with it and I’m sure you will never miss the ST3… get a puig sport screen… solves a lot of issues with buffering…
Stay strong Andy….
Enjoy it man. Life is short as it is. Hope you’re doing ok !
Holy cow! Glad to hear you’re okay dude!
Glad you are keeping well. Was out this evening with people from New Zealand . Fun times.
Hi Andy, sorry to hear that you have not been well. However you are now on the mend, good luck.
Glad you're on the mend mate. I gave up the cigarettes on Jan 10th this year, buggered if I'm spending £11 for a pack a day habit. I still sometimes feel like a ciggy on an evening ride thinking it would be nice to just sit in a nice area and enjoy one but truth be told that would just leave me with 19 in the pack and the start back of a very nasty habit I've had for 46yrs straight, plus it would taste like shit anyway. Luckily them thoughts soon go and I feel good. Take care and keep at it :)
I would burn through a 40 patch per day. The cheapest ones I could buy were almost $60, roughly €30. You do the math.
I had a similar experience with smoking. 12 years ago my best friend and riding buddy died suddenly from esophageal cancer, just 18 days after seeing a doctor for a sore and swollen throat.
Of course I decided to quit right then and there. So I bought a brand new car and put the cigarette money away every week to pay the loan off. Knowing that I couldn’t afford to pay for both the cigs and the car I decided I liked the car more than the smokes.
Paid off the loan, still have the car, and smoke free for 12 years now.
Good choice Andy, you won’t regret it.
Just got a multi 1200s too. They are phenomenal. Best thing ever for trips! I'll be on the boat and back in Tassie soon for a lap around the island
Great to see you back one a bike, on a new bike!
Great to see you back mate. Awesome bike (I have the same). Looking forward to seeing your adventures on your new stead. Keep safe (and healthy).
I'm currently running on 9.5 toes after two operations and often have to take weapons-grade antibiotics for foot infections so I know how it feels. I'm glad you're recovering mate but foot paranoia is a must!!
Bloody sorry to hear that. Hope you continue on the improve. Stunning bike.
Congrats on the new bike and the recovery!
Happy to hear you are making a recover Andy. Do take better care of yourself. :)
Glad to hear you’re on the mend mate and good luck with giving up the smoking. Currently on my second multi and after sports bikes etc I wondered about the looks… but take off the luggage and I think it’s a thing of beauty, put on the luggage and you can travel the world. What’s not to like. 👍
Andy got the 1260 enduro with termi and remapped sounds awesome, I’m a diabetic as well and have gone on a carnivore diet which is meat, Eggs, cheeses and has helped with stable blood sugars.
Still eat some broccoli, onions, spinach and tomatoes all low carb and low sugar but have finally got on top of it, might help you as well 👍🏍🐶🥃
Get well. Good choice to stop smoking🤞
Nice bike; I have never had the fortune to own a Ducati although I have admired the styling, recently a Hypermotard 950 has come up for sale tempted👀
Congratulations! Warm, friendly, genuine, and modest narrative - really liked it. I recently acquired a 2004 MT and like it so far. Unfortunately, your video reignited the desire to own one of the >'15 MTs...
Good to see you are back. Ever considered the Diavel? I had one for 4 years. Loved it. It was stolen last year. Bummer extreme....
Sold my 2012 Multistrata a few years ago. I just found a 1996 SS/CR to play with. One step forward, two steps back?
Hope you like it.
I have used a few of these (I work at a dealer, so have lots of chances) and these are one of those bikes that I decided one day, I will get. It does it all so well.
Congratulations on the new bike and giving up the smokes, look forward to more videos man. 🇦🇺🇦🇺
Speedy recovery.
Definately a Marmite (Vegemite) appearance. Spec wise it's fantastic. I am Type 1 Diabetic and have been for 50 + years and really really thankful that i have good circulation and little if no nerve damage, and so I heal well and can feel any nicks or splinters etc(never smoked is the key I think). So glad you are recovered, please look after yourself and take this as a yellow card. You need to be on tip top form to lug a beastie like that around ( i have a VFR1200 and its like a gym workout getting it out of the garden!!). Hopefully you can do some proper touring and make use of the panniers and top box (BMW riders take note !! - Aluminium panniers and top box for your butties).
Glad you're on the mend and congrats on quitting the smokes. Reckon you deserve a treat after that lot!
I'm pleased to hear you're on the mend.
Lucky you're in Auz because it takes a few weeks to get a GP appointment in the UK.
The new bike is a belter. I've still got my old Multi 1000 although I keep saying I'll sell that and the R1100RS and get a 1200 or a Diavel, but still haven't got around to it.
nice Tassie scenery on a very nice bike glad your back
Glad to see your health problems are resolving and that is a FANTASTIC new (to you) bike! I think the Multistrada will be my next bike too after I tire of the ST3. Ride safe!
Glad you r getting better 🙏
Hi mate. Wondered where you'd gone. At 60 I've just been diagnosed with diabetes, so your story is important to hear. Thanks for sharing.
I bought a nice 900 Monster last Christmas to do up and found a lot of your earlier vids helpful and encouraging. Going back to carbies has been my greatest joy. My other bikes (Triumph 1050 Tiger, Kawasaki ER650) are both fuel injected.
Anyway, glad ya back and on the mend.
mate im the same age and been diabetic for 16yrs manage your diet and eat low carb high protein diet
if it white Eg: bread do not eat it , brown is good , hope your Dr gives you the right advise
Waz
Look after yourself mate. Always enjoy your videos. My son is looking at buying the 950 Multistrada, here in the uk👍
We all say we don’t need the bikes with all the new bits but when you ride one….. All the best with your health Andy.
Nice bike Andy, good luck with the sale of the ST3, and well done on giving up the burners. I haven't smoked in 10 years, but like you, love them. Break the physical habit then just make the choice.
Love new bike! Good to know that your on the mend mate 👍
Good to see you are back. You are gonna love that bike. Like you say l feel mine is the most comfortable and best bike I have ever owned.
You've been through the mill mate. Wishing you a full recovery and a speedy return to health. Lovely bike too. Take care mate.
I was talking to 2 female friends about how blokes don't do doctors.. I laughed and said 'yeah, I have all the syptoms of prostate cancer and I still haven't had it checked'.. they gave me The Look and I knew they wouldn't let it go, so off to the docs I went.. too late for a complete cure, but they bought me some time.. when the consultant said 'we can't cure this' my response was oh well, no point giving up smoking then.. sometimes blokes need to bloody listen! Good on you mate, you need a degree of health to be able to ride.. ciggies or bikes? No contest.
Excellent stuff Andy, I'm sure you'll love it! All the best with the health stuff bloke!
Loving the new bike... but sell the ST3. Im devastated. Found your channel a few weeks ago and watched all you videos - some quite a few times (admire your obsession). Selling my BWW .. and buying a ST3....2006. Stay well mate... keep the video's coming. Ed converted DUCATI rider (Qld).
That's a lovely bike andy.and I glad your feeling better 👍👍👍🙏🙏

They are a nice bike, they are not nice to pull apart and put back together when the desmo clearances need to be done.
Hey Andy, just passing through. Nice bike hope you’re still enjoying it, as I have bought myself a 1260 recently.
As for diabetes, look into ketogenic diet if you have a chance.
Cheers from Japan

Andy, how hot should my 78 gs1000 be idling at? It gets so hot that it smokes. Yeah it’s probably old oil, but the bike isn’t filthy by any means.
Hi Andy I think it's time for a new episode video wathever topic you chose , from an old byker afficionado from belgium
Great to have you back! Take care of yourself.
Andy do not believe all the bullshit on forums about Multi screens and top boxs had mine at 200 and it was stable

So here is the bad news for my wallet. I've found a 1200S that it looks like I'm going to buy. Please tell me that you'll be maintaining the 1200S on camera, so I can see the right way of doing the things I need to be doing. Thankfully the belts aren't due for another 16K miles. Glad to hear you are off the smokes. 👍
Like them in supermoto style.Low miles sounds nice 😂❤️🔧🏍👍
That thing sounds like it's running on 2 cylinders. 😜
