Hi guys, so I just want to say this video was filmed a number of years ago and since then I have got a tattoo apprentice job and am working professionally in a shop giving people tattoos at a much higher standard. This video was filmed when I didn't have as much knowledge on safety/technique. I would really recommend people to take this process more seriously. I'd suggest reading some of the comments and taking on board what people have suggested.
At the time I was doing a lot of my own tattoos at home and didn't intent the video to be a step by step guide (because what worked for me might not for everyone) but more to show you HOW I did my tattoos. anyone wanting to do this at home themselves is responsible for their own health and safety and should always do as much research before hand as possible! Also keep in mind not everyones body will react the same way to inks.
    PRODUCT LIST:
    Clinell Wipes: amzn.to/3qich2W
    Tattoo/Piercing Pen: amzn.to/3875Iu2
    Green Soap: amzn.to/3e733UU
    Transfer Gel: amzn.to/3e3g021

    Needles: amzn.to/2Oltefu
    Ink Pots: amzn.to/3kIPCM1
    Gloves: amzn.to/2OlcKE6
Hope you guys enjoy watching my process as much as I enjoy showing you😊

If you put down a thin layer of Vaseline or hustle butter before you poke, it will keep the ink from pooling and you will be able to see what you're doing much better.

I simply bought some needles and some Kuro Sami ink and I think I have some pretty clean looking ones. Aftercare is KEY. Moisturize it constantly and DO NOT PICK THE SCABS if it does dry out. Don’t over stress it and i promise you’ll like what you come out with. disposable ink wells are super low cost, as are boxes of nitrile gloves, and easily available from reputable online tattoo supply stores... while you're there... lap cloths provide a sterile surface with some absorption, they go underneath all of your equipment, on the table... dettol is nasty stuff, super harsh... 70% alcohol wipes are a better alternative.

Hi! Gloves are not sterile unless they're surgical gloves. So gloves protect you from whoevers body fluids you're coming in contact with. Like she said she wears gloves when she tattoos someone else, which is the correct way since gloves protect YOU not the person being tattooed. Proper hand hygiene and disinfectant is enough when you're tattooing yourself. Hope that cleared things up! :) (I'm a nurse)

Btw if you place the tracing paper on top of the actual transfer paper rather then behind the ink paper you will have a better result also cut it out after tracing and only the transfer paper not the ink paper and you won't get that outline ink around your stencil when you put it on your skin 😉 I've been tattooing myself for just over a year now (with the machine mind you ) original style machine not the new rotary pen machine just because they look cooler in my opinion lol I've filled my four arm and most of my legs so far started packing colour in and practicing shading (majority of my arm is colour 😊 it is a fun hobby and makes me feel proud when people ask how much it costs for my patch work sleeve and I tell them it's all my own work to watch their faces drop make me feel proud! Are you hitting the bottom of the contact container with the tip of your needle? Bc if the needle tip touches, scratches or pokes ANYTHING harder than skin, esp plastic, the tip dulls and or barbs and it is really hard to get the color in the skin after that. I use 10' 03RL (10 is best diameter. The 1203 rl are much thicker) and I never have to do more than 1 go around the tattoo. The color really sticks good.((((but I also use black ink from hobby lobby in the fountain pen section , they have India inks. I use those 😆. They are super black. 🤣
