Skyrim if it Was Remade in 2023 | Vanilla Remake Modlist

- Full Modlist: docs.google.com/spreadsheets/... It's listed in my load order.
People have been asking for a Wabbjack. Once I figure it out and find time to do it, I will try to get one out for you guys. But until then, this is the best I can do.
I tried my best to make this modlist "true to vanilla". This is my take on what a skyrim remake might look like.
This is for Skyrim SE but it should work for AE

Of all the things that get modded in this game, one thing will forever remain untouched in my load order. The beautiful soundtrack.
I admittedly did change the soundtrack. Although I'm pretty sure the mod I used just added a bunch of tracks by the same composer while keep the vanilla ones as well
If you want Additional Lore friendly soundtrack, Try Dreyma Soundtrack. Its literally Elder scrolls oblivion and Skyrim inspired. One of the best soundtracks in my opinion.
The only thing where they Actually made something outstanding. It's a classic now
Idk man. A couple years back I turned Skyrim into a horror game which included some terrifying music as well. It was very unplayable tho too scary - like that horror game where all you have is a video camera
Calming NOT-combat soundtracks do sound very nice without adding new modded songs. The combat songs can get tiring easily though.
tried it. it's so realistic that when Alduin attacked the town at the beginning of the game, fire came out of my computer. I got 4th degree burns
this comment is so underrated
🤣😂
10/10 would recommend, every time A dragon breathes you hear a strong wind movement sound n system heats up, love the immersion
those combat mods look absolutely horrific but everything else is a thing of beauty!
ayo go blue jackets
I think it would look good if it was just Precision and CFPAO. Slash Effects looks corny and Maximum Carnage is always janky.
It's gorgeous. But most importantly to me, still FEELS like Skyrim.
I hate doing any deviations from the original spirit of the game. I loved the game in the first place for being what it was, and the mods I like to install all compliment the original spirit and intended experience.
I struggled a lot with finding texture overhauls that kept to that original feeling though. So I'm definitely copying most of this
Exactly. I’m not a fan of these Witcher or Soulsborne copy mods that I keep seeing for the game, incorporating combat and visuals from those inspirations look cool but it just doesn’t feel the same
For me, after heavily modding skyrim to look like a typical souls-like game, I find myself just reverting back to the original first person combat with a few enhancements here and there, just doesn't feel the same when you're literally just playing a dark souls copy
Well, frankly, it doesn't look like tundra anymore, too much vegetation.
only thing that looks really off is the super minimalistic ui looks pretty bad imo.
Each to their own, but it erks me when people make modern clothing for a Nordic medieavel fantasy game, I mean,Ok I don't have to download it, but it doesn't stop me from wanting to just start slapping the people who make them.
Looks super great and detailed, but it just feels a little too warm for Skyrim. There's just something about vanilla Skyrim that makes it feel so cold yet cozy.
Exactly! Some palettes are all wrong.
@@GOREilla. change the enb choice and its perfect.
@@xiqy1959I use this list with vanilla weathers and Vanilla ENB 2 and it’s the absolute perfect vanilla remaster. You could also change out the ENB for community shaders.
Yea I was on my Xbox watching this video and got on my phone for the comments. It should have that gloomy snow clouded day look. Hazy almost. It’s beautiful but gyat dang it’s bright. Is this Florida?
Was gonna say something like that. Glad you made that point ! That's marvellous what modders are able to do, but I often feel like they do what they CAN do instead of what they SHOULD. When I wander into Skyrim's snow fields, I don't want the impression that I took my car and went to a goddam ski resort in Chamonix Mont-Blanc...
This is a pretty much perfect vanilla plus overhaul in terms of visuals. Combat looks a little bit janky, but it is a Bethesda game at the end of the day. Definitely going to copy this!
i wonder if there is a mod that relaxes first person combat animations, so it makes it look better and less jank lol, i mean i can tell he was using an animation mod to make the sword move sets look better, but i'm afraid they just added to the jank in this case, this game just looks so much better in 3rd person when it comes to animations.
@@Mr.emu44I’m running a 3080 and I was able to run this really well. My lowest FPS is around 60 is super heavy forest areas. I swapped NAT ENB and Weathers for just the regular weather and Vanilla ENB 2 to make it even closer to the vanilla game.
@@CoolUsernamerino hey can you give me the link to the Vanilla ENB 2? Thanks in advance
@@CoolUsernamerino at what res? I play at 3440x1440p and thinking of setting my game up with this modlist 2moz when I wake up. Run a 3080 as well with a 5800x3D
Hey man, do you know which file am I supposed to download for the Skyrim 202x, It isn't specific and im unsure if I download all of the main files or what@@CoolUsernamerino
It's still crazy to me whenever I see CFPAO show up in any kind of video. It still blows me away whenever I realize for the 100th time how many people are playing with animations I created.
Though, it definitely still needs a lot of work done. A sentiment that this comment section has driven home.
Don’t let it bother you. You brought a little bit of joy to many, and in your spare time. I’m sure whatever you do will only get better
i love that it maintains the disaturation of the Tundra, feels like skyrim even tho it's heavily modded.
I think many ENB's miss the desaturation. Many look a bit too vibrant for me. I like the colder, icy look. Reminds me of Oldrim.
@@Draugoth The beautiful disaturation from the 2000's and early 2010's.
I love the fact that skyrim's aesthetic and DNA is still kept. This is the best vanilla remake list
Do you install the ones show only in the video? Or do we have to download all 178 from the full mod list?
This is extremely impressive, all these “next gen” skyrim collections dont even feel like skyrim at all anymore with the amount of gibberish thats put in them. This on the other hand looks amazing and love the minimal modding you did with combat. I wonder how this would run on a 4090 mobile at 4k
lol
You have a laptop with an RTX 4090?
Will work just fine, this is not heavily modded texture wise compared to some next-gen setups people have created on their 4090's and those still kept in between the 50-60 fps range
@@ZeqHDxwonder if I could run this on my 3090 at 4k with dlss mod
@@avatar19822my M18 with a 4090 16gb laptop gpu runs a similar mod list(phoenix) very well at 110ish fps.
On my R15 PC with the 4090 24gb desktop gpu, it runs the phoenix modlist extremely well on my 4k Samsung Ark at 97fps average. I was really surprised as there’s a lot of dense foliage added but the lowest it would dip to is 70fps - laptop lowest drops to 100 but that’s 1440p not 4k. I think this mod list would run just as smooth if not smoother
Gorgeous results! Thank you for the spreadsheet, that's exactly what I needed. 🙂
I love that you included a typed out mod list on each scene❤. Super helpful! Your game looks amazing 😊
He doesn't include important things like what is the killcam mod
Audio Overhaul for Skyrim + ISC SRDified + the patch for AoS and ISC (Immersive Sounds Compendium) go perfectly in this list and will cover more sounds + replace some older sounding stuff from ISC. Also it uses Sound Record Distributor which is an efficient modern utility for sound modding, check it out and see if ya'll might be interested!
That sounds like a lot of work. Do you know of a modlist that has all that and can be activated via wabberjack?
Most underrated mod maker on nexus! 🎉
Who?
@@lacrimosa9020tf you mean who? The author of the video man
@@Beastrev.he didn't make the mods though so your comment doesn't make sense

this is the best i have ever seen in skyrim modding. Would love to see this with combat overhauls as well! I wanna see some third person gameplay too!
stunning and beautiful work of your modlist. it looks incredible !
Insanely underrated keep up the great work✊🏻
Man, I'm a huge fan of your mods and I run a very similar modlist to yours. I'm looking forward to see more from you
can you give your modlist with correct installation order?
😲😲 looks fantastic, really well done!
Ive subbed and waiting for Wabbajack or more mod guides from your channel. 👍
I'll be waiting for that Wabbajack install, thank you so much for that btw! This is by far the best looking Skyrim!
Same here! :-)
@@pierre-yvesjortay1204 yep! Reshade and enb are huge deal here and you need to know how to tweak everything...also big chances are something will break during the process so chances are like 10% this would work... Fingers crossed for Wabbajack
@@MarkoMarkovina so i can't do this myself ?
Then u live under a rock. Wunduniik, Ro, Ascensio are way better looking and more stable
@@indian_crocodile Wundniik and Ascensio are not even close to this... RO is actually my favourite list so far... Visuals are subjective
I need this in my life. Really like the list because it still has that OG Skyrim feel to it. Can't wait for the Wabbjack release! Any progress? I've been checking this video everyday to check if it's out yet
You have to make a Wabbajack mod list, this looks gorgeous 😍
Thank you for this. I will begin at once creating this magnificent adventure all over again.
You do not know how long I have been trying to find a simple mod video that enhances the graphics and combat, but still makes it Skyrim. Thank you\
Wow,lets hope you get the wabajack thing going !
1000th like, i needed a modlist like this!
Sick job as always Apollo!
First time i think, thats the Perfect look for Skyrim! Thank you man for sharing this to us. 👌🏼
looks amazing, makes me wish this was a collection on nexus
Nice modlist!
this is by far the best mod list i've ever seen
Yup, this is by far the best video of this kind
It genuinely feels like how Skyrim should, and how it _would,_ had it been released nowadays
I mainly mod LE, but I am happy to give credit where it's due. The realism with the textures and ENB was wonderful. Well done!
I finally managed to implement this modlist correctly, it took me like 3-4 days haha. I also added other mods and changed the ENB (I think the NAT ENB was too bright for Lux indoors so it made some furniture look weird).
While implementing it took almost as long as creating my own modlist, It made it easier for me to have to look for good texture mods or compatible mods. Thank you.
what is your mod list config
Thinking of downloading the mods soon, how much storage was used when you got all the files ready?
I'm trying to to this too but I'm new to this, where should I start?
I really need your expirence, i'm oin 3th day now and i do get crashesh in same spot. I'm really struguling to instal all the way correctly, not to mention that i probally installed about half of visual mods. Defetly need some instructions and advices how to make them work correctly i'm installing in load order
how did u do it?
Thank you man! Great mod combinations!
holy shit, this is the best mod ive ever seen. nice work 👍👍👍
I would definitely be interested in a Wabbajack playlist if, as it says in the description, you’re working on one. I love keeping my game close to the original vision but I can never find a true Vanilla+ mod list. It’s either the combat has been completely changed, character models appear either far too clean/smooth or fantasy styled, or the textures/enb are just too deviant from the original.
Yeah I'm copying this minus the combat changes.
Fuck the first thing I do once I get a high end setup is run a modlist like this its so beautiful
like fr 😭
I've bought 4 different computers for this game upgraded every time it got upgraded my wallet and I don't speak much anymore
'The first thing' My guy the first thing will be falling in to the mod acquiring void then fixing it then adding more...then fixing it... It's the modder way.
However, if you decide to make a youtube video or take screenshots you'll get to play for a few minutes! c:

I absolutely love the way the flame spell looks and plays.
Very Nice! Your greens look good! not too pale.
THIS IS WHAT I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR! A faithful visual upgrade! No stuff that doesn't take you out of it! THIS!
Please make this into a lightweight modpack! Would be VERY popular!
Skyrim has been and always will be one of my all time favorites so seeing it remade like this was a real treat
This is mad! I should replay the game with this modpack! :)
Me: watching this then look at my 1660ti.
My 1660ti: Please lady, I'm tired. Just play the damn game.
Wow, please make a Wabbajack version for this
Really nice look! Thanks for sharing!
its always nice to just pick any mod you want and throw it on the mod list, and not have to worry about FPS loss. i have to watch my FPS, i have to use the skyrim ini settings and cut down on the distance quality and all the visual things that we love, just to get it playable.
I liked everything, except for the combat animations, they seem a bit off. Also the human characters look a lot a more 'plastic' with the mods. But Whiterun in the end was marvelous, and the whole landscape improvements are super welcome. Great video, mate.
Don’t feel bad if you can’t get a wabbajack done. I’m working on one right now and it’s extremely aggravating and time consuming. If you can find the time and patience though to make one, it would be an incredibly generous gift to the community, you have the most beautiful game i’ve seen yet here

You made me buy a new pc to run mod lists like these so I went full overkill just to be able to play these mod lists with normal fps 😂
Do you perhaps use a 4k ips or a 1440p oled screen? I'm trying to figure out what would look the best lol
Wow totally waiting for your Wabbjack!
Dude, insanely good work. I'm praying for the Wabbajack
Could you upload a video showing how your dungeons interiors and caves Etc look with this setup. I want to go for the hyper real lighting and textures shown here but I also want my dungeon to be realistically dark so I'm curious how you were game looks with this setup
second this
I fucking love it dude, I love no compromise packs like this.
Though I have a question... nobody adds nuance stuff to their lists. For example.. Gravunlom. Do I install Fallforestgrass01 as well? How about 3d Landscapes, do we use Groundcovers 4k? I'm going to assume no... but I'm genuinely not sure.
Otherwise, I can't wait to get this all sorted!
I think there's an assumption if you're doing this that you're already deep inside the modding community and so you'll just "know" what options to choose. I'm a total beginner at this and am trying to emulate what he's done, and so far I'm finding it pretty difficult. I've got dozens of conflicts to resolve and no idea how to deal with it.
most beautiful modded skyrim by far!!
but I'm still struggling with recreate it..
hope you have a time and a motivation to make a Wabbjack or tutorial video.
This is perfect! I respect people trying to add cool new stuff to the game, but I just want it to LOOK better! Great setup!
Hey man just wondering if there's any update on the Wabbajack
I'd honestly gladly pay for one haha your game looks phenomenal
The combat animations could use some improvements to make it feel more authentic but other than that this is beautiful.
Yea this game has lame combate anumation
honestly the vanilla animations looked better lol, and that's saying something.
but this game in general looks better in 3rd person anyway.
@@user-tp5yb4hr4w Compared that dark souls and Elden Ring combat animations? Agreed but that has more to do with the fact that Elden Ring's and Dark Soul's combat animations are too arcady and not immersive whatsoever. And 3rd person is only better because we don't have to watch the goofy combat animations in 1st person. So I say it could still use a facelift so that we may enjoy both.
@@luelee6168
i think the major issue with first person combat in skyrim is it gives the idea that the charactor is a barbie ken doll with no realistic rotation of his arms, so he's stuck in this one position holding the sword stuck on the screen at all times.
i think if there was a mod to make the arms in first person more relaxed, it might help in making the combat look better.
@@luelee6168 skyrim isnt dark souls dude
Finally, I have been looking for a good list. this is it.
This mod list is epic man!
Can't wait until you get a Wabbajack up. I'm definitely going to uninstall Nolvus for this.
Goddamn this is so cool. I would literally pay you if you put in the work for a Collection (for Vortex) or a Wabbajack (for MO2).
No showcase on TH-cam has made me feel this way. You have truly captured the most impressive graphics overhaul I have seen yet, enough to make me write this comment.
I spent the time actually downloading every mod you listed in the excel sheet but failed miserably when it came to config/installation.
There was a time years ago where I had the patience to stay up till 3am getting mods to work, but that time is behind me. Instead, I have money to offer :D
did you tried S.T.E.P. for Skyrim?
@@YouGotMyAttentionIs that a general modding tutorial or a mod list with a tutorial?

A very well made list. You should put this into a Wabbajack collection.
Love your videos, just an idea, could you insert some at night scenarios with light too? Mine always look a bit funny and not sure how they'd look with the lists youd did. Keep it up!
0:23 this mod list looks amazing, but… why so many mods removing depth of field and sky/fog around mountains? Because of that, mountains look so small and not far away 🤷🏼♂️ world scale getting messed up

The environments look beautiful, no doubt! I'd like to have this as a base to add on Requiem.
I've had compatibility issues for AE with SSE engine fixes.
So If you are having issues too stick to SE or use the downgrader
I didn't experience any. Curious.
Do you like this mod list more then your last video a couple months ago?
Remastering skyrim 2023 is the one I was referring to.
I like it a bit more, yeah.
i dont play skyrim anymore but props to you, yours is beautiful and does not look/play like a cheap mmo like 95% of other modlists 😭
1:02 that farmhouse rock texture is awesome
you forgot your serana sex mods pal, the modlist is incomplete
I think you should add more details to the modlist installation, as installing 1-167 in order brings a ton of conflicts in-game. Some ground completely missing and just has a void, hilly places for no reason, blending between textures is kinda bad too. Using MO2. For now Nolvus tutorial works way better, but doesnt look as good
That spreadsheet was never meant to be a tutorial. It’s just my load order (left side of MO2). Installing 1-167 is sure to bring issues. Sounds like you are describing issues with northern roads though. Put Northern Roads.esp and all it’s patches at the bottom of your plugin list.
This is amazing. I would pay you good money for a wabbajack or a step by step on how to get all the settings right. Same goes with the other video with the raytracing setup. I've attempted to copy this mod list and it looks good, but not like this, and I'm running a very similar hardware setup. That tells me it's just me being a noob at the config side of things. Sure there are new games but not many tickle my itch like skyrims open ended gameplay. To play skyrim looking like this would be the best bang for my buck for my computer lol
looks amazing indeed. i hope that in about 3 years' time i'll be sitting here playing skyblivion with these graphics.

Hey I was curious if you still plan on doing a wabbajack modlist? I think it would genuinely be super cool and this is absolutely the best "vanilla" remaster of this list I've ever seen. And it would be super easy to build off a list like this. Plus, if you ever change what mods you use or try making a completely different list, you could always reinstall this list with a one click install if you ever feel like coming back ;)
YAY THIS IS REAALY GOOD I`ll try it today!!
The graphics look great!
the only thing i wouldn’t change is the combat and HUD like the level up thing and the compass
Really nice. I like what i see. I tried Nolvus and Eldergleam, both look good and run stable but the feeling of Skyrim is gone. I have built up my own little 500ish LO pretty similar to yours, trying to lift this game to the next level whitout distorting it to something different.
When I get a good PC I will come back to this.
