Sorry to say that date on the card is the packing date not when it was made, I was curious about a Sebenza that I just got about the build date, CRK got a hold of me and said that the manufacturing date is on the inside of the scales and that the card in the box is the packaging date.
No need to be sorry. But that isn't entirely accurate either. The handles are stamped with the quarter in which they were made. It's not unusual to have two handles on a knife that were made in different quarters of the year (or even different years!) and have different date codes on them. The date on the card is the date that all parts undergo final assembly and finishing into a complete knife and are then wrapped and placed in packaging. Sometimes handles can be made and stored for long periods of time before they are finished and assembled into a knife. The "birth date" is the date of assembly and packing of the knife. I'm hoping you're enjoying your new Lunar Landing!
@@storiesfromthestudy669 Yes, thank you I am loving the Lunar Landing. Yeah my Lunar came with one side made at the last quarter and other the second quarter of last year, and yeah your right about the assembly and packaging. The precision manufacturing of these knives is fantastic.
@@marcophoto9677 Precision... and the Lunar Landing is fascinating to look at too! Mine had to go back for a repair, so I will probably do a follow up video when it gets back to me... keep an eye out for it. And enjoy yours!
@@storiesfromthestudy669 i have heard you mention sending the knife back to CRK in a couple of your videos, but you do not say the reason. What was wrong?
Pocket slips are included with Sebenzas that have Wood Inlays, Computer Generated Graphics, CAD Custom Designs and ones with Damascus Steel blades. Sebenzas with plain titanium handles and Micarta inlaid handles don't come with pockets slips, but you can order one if you want.
Looking forward to more
Thanks, there will be, just not as fast and furious as they were this winter. :)
Double lug always! Thank you for showing that nice Damascus
I have a small 21raindrop box elder, i can feel the damascus on the detent ball.
I would be very interested in the micarta video.
Another nice job
Thanks!
I was waiting for the slice.
I'm glad I remembered... even if it was late! :D
Thumbs up for great Canadian content!
