Never boring to watch a sebenza being put into service . I remember getting my first one too . And it was factory order for my birthday. Seven years of pleasure with it .
Thank you for taking the time to make this video! I'd love to see it updated with the backspacer and new lanyard. I literally just got my first Sebenza this week. Like yours, it's a Small Sebenza 21 w/ black micarta inlays and blue hardware. I got it second hand, but rated as a [B+] and appeared to be brand new to me, other than some minor wear on the thumb stud. The original owner untied the lanyard, and I attempted my best to re-tie it and put the blue dot spacer which came with it as well. Hoping you're loving yours and still using it as your true EDC as you intended. I too plan to use mine EDC and already have the snail trails to show it. I should've bought one of these 15+ years ago when i first started drooling over them :)
You'e welcome for the video, it was my pleasure! It's still my favourite Sebenza and my EDC and I don't see that changing! I will definitely be doing a video about the backspacer and lanyard... in fact I will probably be filming it next week or the week after - I think everything I want to include will have arrived by then. But I also have a long line of videos to upload and I'm trying to do them chronologically, so it might not be up on the channel for a while. I will probably do a six month and year update as well. I do love this one! Enjoy yours as well, you know I approve of your choice!
Congrats, I just got my first inkosi insingo black micarta. Now I got a. 31 on the way , you have a beautiful collection they and still growing. Mine is just starting Yeah we have a problem!
After carrying Spyderco knives, I finally ordered the same knife from Blades Canada, minus the blue studs of course. It will be making its way to Kingston On, and should be here Thursday, I am sure I will be as excited as you. I fretted over the price for quite some time, and thought I better get a 21, before they are gone. I will do like you, and carry it as my EDC. Thanks for the video.
You're welcome, thanks for watching. I'm sure you'll be happy with yours - it's coming up on three months since this one arrived and it has only missed one day in my pocket (the day my 31 arrived). Also, greetings from a fellow Canadian Veteran (I assume from your profile photo), and former resident of Kingston!
Beautiful Sebenza. My go to edc too. I got the same but with red micarta and silver stud. man I have a ton of knives with way more exotic/ super steels. But I keep going back to the small insingo love it. And with the newer heat treat it holds an edge decently. Love your vids pls keep em comin
As far as I know, it was the combination of everything... blue hardware and double lugs on a Insingo bladed micarta inlaid Sebenza that caused the delay. Normally the inlaid Sebenzas come with silver hardware. I have a feeling it was due to the blade shape with double blue lugs.
Wow, seems highly excessive wait wise. I'm getting ready to finally buy one. When I first saw them decades ago I thought "Who would be dumb enough to spend that much money for a knife?" I have a few knives getting close to the $1k mark so it's not that crazy anymore.
I am worried that the extra finger choil might be uncomfortable on the hand. If only I had a car I could go to BladeHq and actually handle every model...

Nice! I'm hoping to get one made on my birthday one day... but not until 2022 at least because they're closed on my birthdays until then! :D

Great video. Just gotta start the video around the 15 minute mark and it's perfect.

Thanks for the compliment, on both the knife and the video! I can't get this one out of my pocket, it's the favourite of the collection.
Great video. I’ve wanted to try out a sabenza for awhile. I think I’ll go for 3 inch as well. That will be a great everyday carry
Thanks for the compliment on the video! You're right, it's a great every day carry, and I can't get it out of my pocket since I got it!
Check out northwest knives. He has C R in stock that ,they don't have in.
What did you order extra that took an extra 3 months?

Do you own the Inkosi?
No, but I do have a Sebenza 25. I'm not sure if there is an Inkosi in my future or not.
