Sora's existance truly is a miracle, feels like the world constantly makes it so this boy can keep bringing people smiles, both in his world, and in ours, as the character who traverses and befriends people of multiple worlds, touching hearts wherever he goes, no one, could be more fitting to end off the greatest crossover game in history

I always thought Square Enix would had be more the problem with Sora being in smashed than Disney. Disney is so far remove from gaming, I don't think they would care enough about have Sora in another franchise. Unlike Square Enix. But also because they so far removed, I can see them being hard to contact.

It didn't help that some big Smash Ultimate youtubers were entertaining the idea that Waluigi could be the last DLC Fighter in Fighters pass 2 when speculating.
I'm not sure if this is because I'm a KH fan and I've buried my head in the excitement that Sora has generated, but it really seems to me that unlike most previous Smash DLC characters, there's a lot less salt being mined from haters this time around. To me that shows how much of an impact and demand Sora had as a character to me. And the fact that Sakurai was willing to work his hardest in order to make this game a reality with every single character is truly amazing in my opinion.

Way back when, from how the 11th slot was revealed, I theorized that it must’ve been someone really special. Lo and behold, it’s the most requested character in the world.
Sakurai is the GOAT. It had to be said. Look Iwata, Miyamoto, nomura, and Marcus Lehto are all great directors and creators but.....no Sakurai is the GOAT and hasn't made a bad game in his entire career.
I think the event he is referring to is probably the Japan Game Awards 2019. That was right after E3 2019 when Hero and Banjo-Kazooie were announced and were a HUGE deal in their respective regions (Hero in Japan, Banjo-Kazooie in the west) so Nintendo likely planned additional DLC after how well the reveals at E3 happened and seeing as Sakurai was present at the JGA’s due to Smash being nominated for (and winning) several awards he likely bumped into a Disney Japan rep there seeing as KH3 was also up for some awards. Glad Sakurai Nintendo Disney and Square were able to make it happen.

I heard Sony attempted approaching Disney to have Sora included into PSASBR several times during its development, but Disney kept refusing because of how adult oriented Sony tends to lean towards with their brand and felt Sora would only stick out like a sore thumb in the mix.

I’m so glad they decided to end it off with Sora instead of Kazuya. It definitely would have been disappointing especially considering he’s cut from a similar cloth of Ryu, Ken and Terry. I remember back during Brawl times how it was an amazing thing to see characters like Sonic and Snake in a Nintendo game. Then my mind was blown when Cloud was finally announced in Smash 4. Then my mind was blown away again and again with each and every DLC announcement in Smash Ultimate. Then when Sora was finally announced, I went complete bonkers. I'm really Happy Sora is in Smash, and will probably be the main character I play as for a very long time. I also wanted Isaac from Golden Sun, and Doomslayer. But at least Doomslayer is a Mii Costume. RIP Isaac/Golden Sun.

It's wild that things just seem to happen this way. Sora is a living miracle. His existence, his influence, his story and character... All of it is timeless. However, he's also a copyright ceiling; When you go for Sora, in any capacity, you're asking for a rough time. I'm hopeful but also doubtful that we'll get very many crossovers like this with KH ever again but hey, I'm always open to being horribly wrong. FF14 had plans for a KH crossover once... Maybe this will just help "open the door"?

I agree, I feel like if Sora couldn't make it in, they would have maybe switched some characters around and Sephiroth would have been the last one. I know Kazuya is a pretty cool character, but you can't deny that Sephiroth would have been a crazy character to end things with. I feel like Sakurai should definitely take a break, but if he works on a few more games, hopefully we get a Kid Icarus Uprising Remake/Sequel on the Switch. Although, isn't he working on the new 3D Kirby game? I guess beyond those two games, don't know what his final game would be. Still, that's probably later down the line.

Good video. Sora to me feels like what Sonic & Tails would’ve been in Melee, King K. Rool & Geno would’ve been in Brawl, and Ridley & Mewtwo would’ve been in Smash for Wii U / 3DS: A pipe dream character that was just too good to be true to actually be included. Though I’m not a kingdom hearts fan, I am glad he was the final dlc roster pick. Never stop believing HMK; I applaud you. :]
when going home to college, the first thing I would do is boot my my switch and practice Sora some more. And man! It just feels good about having to play as one of my most wanted characters for smash!
You know, before Sora was revealed I was thinking, "what if they had planned FP2 to be five fighters and then negotiations came through for someone they could not refuse"? Guess that's what really happened!
I think Sora's inclusion is a perfect way to end it off with a bang. Even though he may have been created by Tetsuya Nomura, he's without a doubt, the best choice by far, due to him being the most requested choice by far. So in the end, I will say, Arigato, Sakurai-San.

I feel like this makes a better ending than what was originally going to happen, considering that for Tekken fans they would get Kazuya instead of the more requested Heihachi. Sora was a better call and that's not just me being biased.

It's wild that things just seem to happen this way. Sora is a living miracle. His existence, his influence, his story and character... All of it is timeless. However, he's also a copyright ceiling; When you go for Sora, in any capacity, you're asking for a rough time.
I'm hopeful but also doubtful that we'll get very many crossovers like this with KH ever again but hey, I'm always open to being horribly wrong. FF14 had plans for a KH crossover once... Maybe this will just help "open the door"?

I played with Sora when he came out and made my own video of it and I think he is awesome, I got myself a new Main.
Now we just need 2 things, Kingdom hearts game where sora visits nintendo worlds instead as part of some storyline, and a smash bros RPG game.

I agree, I feel like if Sora couldn't make it in, they would have maybe switched some characters around and Sephiroth would have been the last one. I know Kazuya is a pretty cool character, but you can't deny that Sephiroth would have been a crazy character to end things with. I feel like Sakurai should definitely take a break, but if he works on a few more games, hopefully we get a Kid Icarus Uprising Remake/Sequel on the Switch. Although, isn't he working on the new 3D Kirby game? I guess beyond those two games, don't know what his final game would be. Still, that's probably later down the line.

I literally had a feeling that was the case for FP 2. I just knew it was planned for 5, but then sora came along lol.
when going home to college, the first thing I would do is boot my my switch and practice Sora some more. And man! It just feels good about having to play as one of my most wanted characters for smash!

You know, before Sora was revealed I was thinking, "what if they had planned FP2 to be five fighters and then negotiations came through for someone they could not refuse"? Guess that's what really happened!
No it was supposed supposed to be $24.99 again but since they got the approval from Disney the price went up to $29.99
I think Sora's inclusion is a perfect way to end it off with a bang. Even though he may have been created by Tetsuya Nomura, he's without a doubt, the best choice by far, due to him being the most requested choice by far. So in the end, I will say, Arigato, Sakurai-San.

People be hating on Sora including other youtubers and twitch streamers during all of these previous DLC characters and they all be saying a few things that Sora can't come in smash in few of their videos:
1. "Sora can't come to Super Smash Bros Ultimate because HE'S DISNEY NOT SQUARE ENIX!!!!"
2. "Sora can't come to Smash because Sephiroth stole his DLC spot and we already have 3 Square Enix Fighter (Cloud, Hero and Sephiroth)."
3. "Sora can't make it in Super Smash Bros Ultimate because all of his game music are copyrights by either Hikaru Utada and Disney.
3. "Sora not gonna in Smash Ultimate because he's not fun or interested, he's a boring character than other gaming characters from different franchises like Crash Bandicoot, Doom Slayer, Master Chief, Rayman, Geno, Shadow The Hedgehog, Dr. Eggman, 2B, Among Us character, and of course Waluigi that everyone wanted but then Piranha Plant took his smash invitation and said YOU'RE DECONFIRMED HAHAHA!!!!
4. People thinks He wasn't the most popular and requested character the Super Smash Bros. Series.
But then two weeks ago everyone well half of the youtubers, twitch streamers and Sora Fans including myself were all pretty hyped and excited that Sora was officially the last DLC character/Fighter in the Super Smash Bros. Series by Mr. Smash Legendary himself Masahiro Sakurai while there are other half of youtubers, twitch streamers and not a Sora fans people were very upset and jealous because of another anime swordfighter by Disney has joined Super Smash Bros. Ultimate TOO MANY SWORDFIGHTERS IN THE GAME!!!! like come on now be happy and grateful for Sakurai hard work he has done since either Melee, Brawl and Smash 4 when he designed all of the characters from smash game to another smash game and bring all of the returning and new DLC characters together from Smash 64 through Smash 4 with new designs on characters and stages to created a better game called Super Smash Bros. Ultimate with added more new characters and 12 DLC characters that was Sakurai official last and final super smash bros game before retiring.

I feel like this makes a better ending than what was originally going to happen, considering that for Tekken fans they would get Kazuya instead of the more requested Heihachi. Sora was a better call and that's not just me being biased.

It was never officially confirmed, it was people's bias of their hatred for the Disney Company as a whole.

Nintendo is a gigachad when it comes to making games for all demographics, and we all know that Sakurai is a gigachad as well, so Disney may have realized that and gave Sakurai and Nintendo the green light.
Only reason Sora was ranked highest is because Among Us and Fortnite werent popular at that time and Minecraft hadn't made a come back yet.
