Adkd, 8d9d, 8dTd, 6d7d tons of diamond combos. Qx I dont think opponent is folding. May be some Jx. People give Rampage hard time but the truth is he is better than 99% of 2-5, 1-2 players here.
My issue with Rampage representing 9-10 is that in EVERY SINGLE VIDEO where he actually does have the nuts, he always just "calls for deception" or "checks for deception". He almost never plays the nuts this way.
That’s not good poker, players like that are easy to read.Play good hands fast and sometimes trap.I suppose he would never overbet the pot with a great hand which is basically telling a bluff
For sure you arent finding him check calling the turn out of position with a very vulneravle nutted hand when the spr is still gonna be like 5/1 after he calls turn. Hes playin the nuts this way
U just dont understand board textures and when he does it. Its not true what u just said at all and im sure he woulda do exactlythe same with 910 . Maybe with 910d he could be slowplaying sometimes and thats it.
I’ve seen a whole lot of Rampage punts, but this one doesn’t seem too bad at all. Sure the turn raise is pretty ambitious, but if we arrive on the river with no pair, blocking the nuts and unblocking diamonds, emptying the clip is the correct play.
Not sure if unblocking diamonds matters as after villains calls the turn he is heavily weighted towards a pair also he beat all unpaired flush draws apart from AK.
@@Gos1234567good point. I guess unblocking diamonds is good for the turn raise as opponent would fold out alot of them. But also alot of opponents pair combinations do have diamonds such as Qx. Definitlet correct about the river villain range being weighted towards a pair
I watch rampage to gain a different perspective on spots. Sometimes they may not be the correct perspective, but being a student of the game I’m open to learn from anyone. I take things from rampage’s game I feel are helpful and chalk up the rest of his content to entertainment.
A lot of players are like this. Eric Persson is like this, Berkey is like this. Basically you bully the rec players around with huge bluffs that make them wet themselves. Shit falls apart when they play better skilled players. Like Patrick felting Persson for $1M.
I see what you are saying but you have to look at it like a UFC fighter kinda….some fighters really do have championship aspirations, but some fighters are just really ENTERTAINING. People want to see them fight win or lose, champ or not. Sometimes that’s better IMO. I wish Ethan would tighten up and bink a few more wins though.
@@predwards8941 I mean yeah that’s totally one way of looking at it. And I never saw it from that perspective. I think where it’s different is when Ethan is publicly giving his thoughts out loud and trying to relay (what he thinks is) usable strategy that ultimately is incredibly flawed when you peel back the first layer. Like serious UFC fighters don’t really go on TH-cam showing people how to do uppercut SherYukens, cuz it’s entertaining to watch.
He's the Tyler Durden of Poker. Maybe self-improvement isn’t the answer, maybe self-destruction is the answer. We’ve all been raised on television to believe that one day we’d all be millionaires, and movie gods, and poker stars. But we won’t. And we’re slowly learning that fact. This is your Tournament Life and its ending one punt at a time.
Rampage basically showed that any amateur could make money playing poker if you get lucky enough. I have watched your content before Jonathan and I must say I don’t care for it most of the time. The odd time isn’t bad but not something I’d subscribe to or watch consistently.
Someone tell me if Rampage is any good? He had a big Sun Run in a few tourneys w/ big money up top. He seems to exhibit poor bankroll management, vaulted into games beyond his skill/experience, & punts(?) for content. Entertaining, like a circus act. I wish him luck. 🍀
I watch him because it blows my mind that someone can have the success he has had when the whole of their thought process seems ti be centered around validating questionable plays they made
Is this personal for Jonathan? This is a good play for Rampage at some random card room. At higher stakes against people who know he bluffs all the time, not so much.
I think rampage is very good and very aggressive and it is a lot to learn by watching him and thats why i does it .But at this point with his reputation he should be slowing down in some spots not taking any single one of them .
no.. he won a WSOP lucky online dunkament live for like $200,000 earlier in his TH-cam career.. and after that for some reason people started staking him to play on high stakes cash games where he got crushed and now his back to playing 5-10 and 10-20 games where he belongs
His strategy is not. Low stakes game..this is not a $200 $400 buy in type of game strategies rampage plays...his bankrolls as at right now can allows him to bluff that way..and actually the play wasn't bad and your opponent most of the time will fall a two pairs or a single pair on that river...his play was actuality great..for the stake.. Dont try it ok a $200 or $400 buy jn(meaning $2-$5 games..) you will eve. Get calm by a one pair 95% of time..
you always have to understand how you are perceived. Rampage is always seen as a maniac. Which you need to call down light. Rampage would be much better off to get paid big on his nuts, close nuts. Then stay tight overall
I enjoy the content and you really cant argue with his tournament runs. I like his style and its hard not to root for him. That big bluff he pulled against hands was legendary.
I struggle to watch rampage. I actually unfollowed him. It pains me to watch him a lot. He overplays so many situations and people just call him down based on his reputation. It’s not like Tim Dwan pushing big moves because Dwan understands balance
I don’t watch him anymore. He’s not playing good poker. He has become a gambling addict and will be on the streets in a few years. His counter partner Mariano is investing in his future with a home and is playing in games where he can dominate. I feel sorry for him.
This guy is the epitome of a whale. Gets fans to fund his punts and punts every chance he can. If you look at all his best MTT successes it's because he 5 bet jammed some trash like A 9 off suit into KK for 150bbs and hit his 3 outer. Even a donk gets lucky occasionally
People watch him because our nature is to like drama ! No one watching poker to learn I mean mostly we watch because of entertainment If you wanna learn that’s the worse place to be …
What hand do YOU think Rampage’s opponent had? 🤔
A worse axd
Diamond draw or maybe also A-10. Maybe A-10 diamonds. Or Jx like KJ.

AJ or KJ off suit.
@@KenpachiPokerdoubtful as he said the guy took a while to fold 😂

Lmao
Blabla
I think his father always dreamed of him being a punter in the NFL and this is the next closest thing.

Yeah - maybe shouldn't have been in that position in the first place, but the river bet makes sense to me

I only see them to see him punt his money... in really creative ways
Punt Master!
That sitcom studio canned laughter got me rolling. 😂
Why do I like watching? Everyone loves a trainwreck!
He seems like a cool guy and he bluffs relentlessly, day after day, even if he's punting. Entertaining and I'm always rooting for him
You can learn a ton by watching someone set their money on fire.
I'd fold flop to that sizing, but once we arrive on the turn, I really like the way this hand was played going forward
Rampage tried to punt..... his oppenent would not let him. lmao
I would have folded on the flop but once you make it to the river with those napkins just have to stuff it.
my brother got a picture with him in vegas last week lol, i watch because he seems like a good guy and his videos are more entertaining than most
There is a reason we watch RamPUNT!!!! 👟🏈
A victim of early, big-time success, has turned rampage into Pat McCaffy. And I don’t mean the podcaster, I mean the punter.

How the fuck is he relatable? Are you this reckless with money as well?
I watch to learn what my loose opponents may do
Jonathan. Excellent analysis and tutorial video.
Thanks very much, John!
I watch him because he is relatable. And, it gives me confidence. If he can win, I can win!
All of the above, and he seems like a good dude.
Seemed like a well played hand lol

I'm so glad you find them helpful 👊
Wow 🤯
I love watching rampage. Usually pretty good in tournaments and always very entertaining.
I don’t watch rampage because I don’t want to learn bad habits
High level strategy
I wonder if/how Rampage starting to record the hand would have impacted the decision (assuming it was noticeable)
I've thought about that too. But, tbf, it doesn't say if he has it or not. He's turning it on when things get interesting.
Stack depth is noted at the bottom of the video 239bb’s effective
Rampage is the Asian Nik Airball.
Since when is India not in Asia??
Asian Players are just aggressive in general.
Hairball is far more insufferable. Ethan seems like a genuinely nice guy.
Has rampage made money from poker? Or just the vlogs? Or is he just rich and having fun? Anyone know
