This video has a real message I think which most of the car videos lack. Being in the moment, just feel the moment, you are experiencing is right hemisphere related. No narrative creation, no overthinking. Just enjoy what you do, do not look back what happened earlier, what will happen in the future. Just merge with the experience. I don't have such an exotic and significant car but I felt that for shorter periods while I was driving 944turbo, Jaguar X100 XKR e.t.c. I need to practice it more by driving more and more even if I don't have an exact destination. Just ride for the experience.
My dad had this car in silver with red leather, and it was a manual. It was magnificent, and definitely a car I want to buy in the future. You can buy a good example in England for 35k. An incredible investment, and such an amazing looking car. Great video!
Early V550 Vantage for me, I've still got a magazine from 1993 when it was launched, I was 12 at the time, the emotional response it gave me back then is the same every time I look at that magazine, trends come and go but style is eternal 👌
Type into Google: 1993 Aston Martin Virage - £35,000 Bourne End. Only 35k, it's in spectacular condition, it's manual and it's green. I would buy it but I'm a few years away yet from affording it.
Not sure how many Salsbury Blue over Magnolia Virages there are in the US but I had one for 10 years. Wheels and front grill were different than this one (silver grill with 18' OZ wheels).
Upgrade the engine to the 6.3 L. Consider upgrading the body panels as well to the 6.3 L style or better yet to the Vantage style front and rear. In addition to updating suspension to the Vantage V600 suspension a upgrade that was later introduced in the mid to late 90s and present on all final 40 vantage Le mas models made at the end of this production run in 1999 to 2000. The 6.3 L engine however doesn't have the same uncontrollable power that the Vantage supercharger added in the later vantage V550 or 600 models. I would also upgrade the dashboard to La Mas aluminum dashboard and tachometer.
Peter Dixon yes I understand that but I think the later vantage front and especially the rear with the grapefruit rear lights looks the best. There are a few examples out there of the Virage 5.3l engine or the 6.3 engine with the upgraded vantage body panels. This with the upgraded suspension gives you the best version of this car as it avoids the superchargers of the V550/V600 which provide erratic, jolting power that is described as an unpleasant novelty, it also avoids the expense of the superchargers in an already expensive car to maintain. The later Le Mans Version dashboard also looks the best with a huge tachometer and more modern yet classic appearance.
Peter Dixon here is one such version of an original Virage Volante converted to the 6.3 engine and using Vantage front and back body panels instead of the 6.3 L body panels. This add an additional ridiculous cost of 111,000 pounds back in 1995, the car cost 147,000 pounds two years prior in 1993. In retrospect the owner would’ve been better off buying the actual V550 vantage and downgrading the engine by taking out the stupid superchargers and then upgrading to the 6.3 Or used the original -5.3 L engine www.bonhams.com/auctions/25452/lot/235/

Such a great comment. Thank you. Feels good to be understood.
One of my top 5 favorite cars of all time (4 others are NSX, 300ZX, 3000GT, and BMW 850i) it's the era I grew up in, late 80's and early 90's :)
Great mini film
Always great to hear owner’s perspective
Beauty in motion
I appreciate that the owner has kept the car original instead of upgrading the car to "wide body" spec. Makes it even more rare and interesting.
Awesome video !!
Thanks so much!

It’s called soul ‼️🇬🇧🇬🇧
Rear lights from the VW Scirocco II :-)
Can't be unseen now
And front light from an Audi 200, Mirrors from a Citroën CX, also if you look at the DB7 (not a real Aston Martin the rear lights are from a Mazda 323
Nice video
Curretly looking for a green manual Virage.
Stunning cars.
Any chance of this video without music?

Looks like Chichester blue?

fender gibs why?
The V550 is great but the 6.3 looks like a boy racer mobile. The original Virage is so elegant.

No, don't do all that. Respect it for what it is. If you want the later features, buy a later car.

Hallo From Indonesia
Virage looked like a bulked up Ford Mustang to me
Looks like someone mashed together a GTR R34, a 240sx, and a mustang
Not the original rims !
