@NewDawnFadesX DuVall is a great singer. When he's harmonizing with Jerry it sounds great, but by himself he doesn't compare. He can't hold a candle to Layne because nobody can.

Jerry definitely picked him because they sound great singing together, in the same vibe as the 90's AiC. I was disrespecting William big time and then I listened to "Black gives way to blue" a couple of times

Jeff is nowhere near Scott’s level of songwriting genius and melody making. Nor is he even half the live performer. Let’s just be realistic here. Jeff is just okay. The songs are okay. His voice is good but nothing unique. It’s all just a bit... bland.

Scott was a generational icon (my favorite frontman ever btw), but he crippled STP and we are lucky to have this new chapter.

RIP Chester but I don’t think he should be categorised with Layne, Chris or Scott. Chester’s band made some really really horrible music and were part of the awful nu metal movement before becoming a pop group towards the end. No matter how good his voice may have been, his band was awful.
It's almost uncanny, that their voices both have a cadence about them that is just that, "Uncanny". Brilliant, I love it, simple and unique.

It was on a spotify playlist and did not realised it was a new STP song. What surprises me was Jeff’s voice really sounded like Weiland. A great artist tribute to a their ex-frontman. It just shows STP delivers great music!

Fabulous,I can feel Scott's soul in this,he was such a talented man,I'll never get over the loss,like with so many other grunge icons...the line between genius and madness is indeed thin,I'll wager they all experienced trauma,accounting for their musical prowess as well as chronic use of illicit drugs...trauma is the gateway,nobody is immune😢

I am 14 so I never got to live through there best hits and like in the 90s but I absolutely love this band and is the only type of music I will listen to I don't like the new popular songs today this album is a good way of this Jeff to get more with the band and is a great fit for them. RIP Scott and Chester never to be forgotten.

@@devinlaheywho Wrong. Perdida the song and this one Fare Thee Well are instant classics in the same way as Interstate Love Song and Lady Picture Show are. The Deleos are as much STP as Scott. Scott was one of my all time favorites. But he's gone. These new epic songs will do more to bring attention to STPs history and Scott than anything. I'd argue this new album catapults STP up the list of the all time greatest rock acts.

Wow...Once again, I’m stunned at how this band continues to put out great music even despite their tragic losses. And I’m amazed at how similar Jeff can sound to Scott at times. They even have the same chin...if that was all you saw of his face, I wouldn’t entirely be surprised for someone who didn’t know better to think this WAS Scott. I intend to get this as soon as it comes out...hope it’s as good as Jeff’s debut!
