I'm from Ukraine and he's now at war and we've been living together for 6 years and never were apart for more than a couple of days and now I haven't seen him for 9 months, and we have changed so much, and I miss my husband so, so, so much. To answer your advent question; advent is huge here in scandinavia, pretty much everyone has an advent calander. The most common ones to get for your kids are just filled with a small bite of chocolate everyday. And we always go 1 to 24. The 24th is always a "better" price, or like a grand finale, so it would be ruined by going the other way around. (However in sweden we celebrate chrismas on the 24th.. so it makes more sense that way i guess)
I've been watching you on and off since you were pregnant with Flynn and then consistently since 2020 and I'm ashamed to say that I waited till now to watch "Haters Back off" on Netflix. It exceeded all my expectations and even though I wasn't a huge fan of Miranda before watching, I found myself laughing and crying along the entire 2 seasons and falling in love with the characters!!!! Now every time I see you and Erik together my heart burst with joy that you found your forever Patrick!

Would you think about being able to donate to SoCal Childhood Cancer foundation. They part with families in SoCal who have kids going through cancer treatment. They are very big at our hospital Loma Linda Children's Hospital. They provide breakfast for the families on the unit every Thursday morning. Different events through out the year for the families. They just provided Thanksgiving baskets to families. They also provide teen support groups and different outings for teens. They are big advocates for families and their patients. They have a house we are able to use when we have a family that is going to be in the hospital long term (they a bone marrow transplant) that is walking distance to the hospital. It is a safe place when RMDH is not available.
I live in Michigan and my body is not made for cold weather. It's like 20°F and I have 2 shirts on then a hoodie and a winter jacket and 4 pairs of pants on and I'll still be freezing my butt off especially if there's a wind chill. It's brutal sometimes. I just remind myself of no earthquakes, no hurricanes, no alligators.
Our flights were cancelled to Seattle like you (same day too) and I almost missed watching my daughter win the ncaa division ii volleyball championship 😅
