Well uh... It kinda makes sense if you played chapter 1, too. Like, when you seal the fountain and wander around light world, you could see the same pattern of Susie being more friendly to Kris and overall progression comparing to their first meeting in the chapter. This video was released two years ago, after all.
It’s really amazing how accurate this is to chapter 2 characterization despite how it was made before Chapter 2 came out. Berdly even seems more in line with his post-character development self also.

I’m surprised I didn’t see this in time for Halloween but I’m so glad I got to see this at all!

In this game, to me, Toriel just seems a bit overly-religious and strict. Now, a parent who is a bit strict is fine- my mom was a bit strict with me as a kid- but I’m talking overdoing it to where she doesn’t think she’s ever in the wrong, something my folks find hard to admit but they still do. She and Asgore are also still separated in this universe and she seems even more hateful of him, even though he seems even more gentle than the last game and wouldn’t hurt anyone if he could avoid it. Someone theorized it was because of how he runs his flower shop, because he couldn’t bear to make people pay money, but if she divorced him because of THAT instead of actually being a good spouse and directly helping him get over this problem, then that would make it even more unreasonable than what happened in Undertale. That’s just what I got, though. Whatever it was happened years before the game, so we probably won’t find out until Asriel appears.

She and Asgore are also still separated in this universe and she seems even more hateful of him, even though he seems even more gentle than the last game and wouldn’t hurt anyone if he could avoid it. Someone theorized it was because of how he runs his flower shop, because he couldn’t bear to make people pay money, but if she divorced him because of THAT instead of actually being a good spouse and directly helping him get over this problem, then that would make it even more unreasonable than what happened in Undertale.
That’s just what I got, though. Whatever it was happened years before the game, so we probably won’t find out until Asriel appears.
