Been supporting this crazy roller coaster since 1992. My goodness there was a lot of pain along the way. My dream was to watch them win 1 GF. 2003 fulfilled my dream. But years later I got greedy and wanted more. But never ever ever imagined we could be this good. This clinical, this much heart in one team. Adversity, the hate, the set backs but these boys and Ivan are beyond my wildest dreams. I’m forever be smiling because of the last 3 years. Thank u Penrith Panthers
The Father Of Many ! May The Fourth Be With You ! Grew up on AFL / VFL with the state of origin capturing my eye in my teens I have watched it ever since but my father is a very old school AFL man and we spoke over dinner about the NRL Grand Final my father don't give League much credit but we spoke about the Panthers and The Bronco's both agreeing we had seen a game that will be talked about for years and years and what we all witnessed from Nathan and the Panthers truly one of the most amazing comebacks ever seen in a Grand Final Congratulations To The Panthers & Ivan . Was very heart warming to see how Proud you all made Ivan he was glowing with pride boys he will never forget any of you for your sacrifice to the Teams plan.
Panthers have been my teem since the 90's, always have been and always will be. The last 4 years have been absolutely awesome for us fans, we will never forget the hard years, but these years have been awesome. Congratulations on the club and team you have built. Well done boys, you deserve every accolade given. You are THE Team!❤💛🖤💚
Only a real fan would know what your saying mine was around 2005 id say but not sure too young to even rember why i picked them expecially since my family is split bulldogs/parra😂 but all i remember is always loving penrith
I dont know much about the NRL, the clubs, their history or the game in general. But I know courage, guts, team spirit and camaraderie when I see it and these Panthers have it in loads.
Humble guy, his teams play with a respect for the game. They value the team ethos and hard work - they put those things above themselves. He isn't the glamorous coach, fur coats and funny anticdotes but he gets the best out of his teams. He is relatable and doesn't try to be someone he's not. In 2021 there were people lining up to hammer him (including mentor Phil Gould) who came out and said he wanted Wayne Bennett. It isn't easy in the face of all of that to keep focused and achieve your goals. He has survived those things and now alot of coaches will be seeking his advise regardless of the sport. Humility. Perserverance. BTW no other team in history wins that game from being 24-8 down ... none.
Diehard Broncos fan but I can’t help but admire Ivan. What he’s done with Penrith is amazing, such a great team to watch and arguably the best of all time. Nathan is on trajectory to being the GOAT of NRL too both their football I.Q and the way they carry themselves I can respect (won’t say that about a few players from Penrith though) I’m glad Broncos didn’t make it an easy night for the riff but up against a 97% completion rate that’s almost impossible to win against and insane for a GF.
Class Mate. Broncos don’t loose to any other team I’ve seen in a GF I don’t believe. I still think yas were the better team on the night by a fraction.
This Rooster supporter always knew that the 'Silver Fox' had much unfinished business in the NRL. Congratulations to both Penrith Panthers & their awesome fans.
Wow. What an amazing guy Ivan is. Loves his boys so much. Awesome speech, got me really thinking about what these teams and the nrl in genearal mean to so many people for all different reasons. Me? Well first n foremost im a BRONCOS girl til i die lol!! Therefore, its hard to not be a bit salty towards the panthers atm cant even bullshit haha.. . but Ivan just put into perspective that no matter which team u support, the love and loyalty is the same amongst all of them, from the players, coaches, and staff....and of course their fans. League is our life, no matter which colors you wear, who wins or loses, it's the brotherhood, the comradery and loyalty that put us all in the same boat at the end of the day. It's the love of the game and the culture it provides. I'm a kiwi, so my team should be the wahs lol, but I started watching the Winfield cup with my grandad when I was 8 so the warriors My dad died playing league when I was a baby, got a head injury that lead to a brain aneurysm which he couldnt survive.. He was also a hard core BRONCOS fan, which is why I chose them as my team when I started watching the league each week with my grandad. Id put on one of my dads broncos shirts which came down to my ankles and still had a faint smell of him and i emersed myself in each game. Learning the teams, the riles, the game, and i loved a bit of the biff too lol. But for me it was a way to connect with my dad who i had no memory of. And still to this day, I love my BRONCOS and the bond its given me with my dad even though il never know him, this game and these guys who play it give me and my dad some time together even if its only in spirit, i truly feel him with me and for that, I love every thing that makes this game and the nrl what it us....even the panthers 😭🤣 Congratulations to Ivan and his boys on their amazing GF last week. 3 in a row is a massive achievement. I almost feel bad that the BRONCOS will put an end to it in 2024 🐴 ❤🎉😂
Come into the NSW team as advisor Ivan!! NSW needs you!!! Bring Bellyache along and Trent from the Roosters. Need some modern super coaches in there. Be innovative like Queensland keeps being. Only if Bec says Yes and you have capacity though!! But your team can do it if you are away for a few weeks during Origin. Your playing group, their partners and families, your coaching staff, the Penrith staff behind the scenes, the board, the supporters are first rate and a well-oiled group who know the systems, their roles and the results will keep coming. When you weren't extended at the Warriors to keep coaching, it was such a shame as the values you had instilled were great and the performances reflected the work you had done as well. From the upfront conversations with players, you could have and how they would respond and improve. Nathan was almost a Warrior or All Black(?) for life :) Onto the care you had for community. I remember when Sonny Fai passed away. He had the making of a superstar. He was a superstar in his short career. And the way the Warriors responded to the tragedy was and is still first-class. I'm glad we have one of your assistances from last year with the Warriors as coach now. Andrew Webster. Cheers Ivan and best wishes for 4 in 24!!
C'mon, back in the day we had Mark Geyer, John Cartwright and Greg Alexander play in the SOO... oh, show pony Fittler We had rep players way 18:03 before you came along Ivan
I don't really have a team to support anymore as the powers to be decided that the Western Suburbs Magpies were no longer worth being in the comp. They determined the 'Tigers' would be a better option and merged the maggies with Balmain.....what a joke thats turned out to be. The name 'Tigers' was/is the only thing that Balmain brought to the table and they've been 'leaching off' the 'pies ever since Anyway, sorry for the rant but, what I am gonna say is this, as someone who's lived and raised a family in the Penrith area, the Panthers are a credit to the region and the people here. They play in a way that reflects the people which IMO hardworking, family orientated, loyal and people that treat others with respect and expect the same in return. The club is a credit to the league in how they play the game. If I could follow another team it would be the Panthers.....not because they're a great team but, they play the game how it should be played, hard , tough and then add the flair when the hard work's been done. Up the Maggies......I mean Panthers 😀😀😀👏👏👏👌👌👌👌
