Yep i do not care what anyone says now this Panthers team is the greatest of the modern NRL era...to reach the Grand Final 4 times in a row and win 3 of them is legendary indeed.
Close but not quite there is other teams that have been more consistent.

Not enough people talk about Mitch Kenny, man turned in to Cam Smith the last 3 - 4 Sets leading to the winning try. And the winning try itself was his doing. Shaping to pass back inside for another crash play only to throw it out to cleary. This causes Reece Walsh and carrigan to stand still at marker while Jordan Riki overcompensate allowing a huge hole for Cleary to run into
Great analysis, made me re watch that part. One of the many high IQ Panther plays throughout that game👏
Absolutely, none of the "experts" spoke about him showing inside and sending Walsh the wrong way. It was subtle but if he doesn't do it Nate doesn't score.

Nah, I knew they didn't do enough to win. I was hoping they would score 2 more tries after the second Mam try to seal the game. But no🙄 They allowed Penrith back in.

Plus there is still plenty of reason to be hopeful if anyone is a Broncos fan. They have a fairly young and exciting team. Brisbane right now are where Penrith was in 2020. Heartbreaking Grand Final loss but a bright future ahead.

1. The 40-20 kick by Cleary in the 65th minute,
2. The literally superhuman set of 6 in defence by Penrith in the 74th-75th after Cobbo snagged Crichton’s kick.
Both of which are missing from these “extended” highlights.

I’m an American who started watching rugby league this year. Even though I don’t 100% understand the game, I still like watching it. I wish rugby league was more popular worldwide. Much better than union IMO.

I am still in disbelief. Still shaking. That was one of the greatest Grand Finals I’ve ever seen, up there with 2015. It had it all. Panthers won with sheer guts, determination, brilliance, and discipline. They made one sole error that entire GF, resulting in a near-perfect completion rate. I truly thought they were gone after the third Ezra try, but they fought back, cementing themselves in history and legend.
That last 20mins was a master-class

2015 was unreal but this was the best GF of all time, you couldn’t have written a more perfect script
2015 felt like it came out of a movie. Definitely miles ahead of 2023 grand final

I was in Penrith that day after the match...cars couldn't move, streets lined up...they play and have mentioned, its about the community, they live for that this panthers team...when you play for a community andnyour identity, nothing is impossible.the greatest comeback ever by the greatest team ever...my dad would have been proud, being a panther homself, if only he was still alive but for me as a sharks fan...you.had my.support.penrith, made.NSW proud
I was young when Penrith came into the comp in 1967 and I saw every home match (and a lot of the away games) for the first seven years. If your father has passed away (sorry to hear) he may have been one of the players in those early years. Respect to him and all the other pioneers.
There is no question at this point, that Nathan Cleary has cemented himself as one of the greatest players of all time.

Luai going off injured was a blessing in disguise for penrith, luai was moving too side ways all game and Cogger came on and straightened everything up which helped Cleary a heap !
Yeah luai looked upset that the spotlight wasn't on him
Luai wasn't even up to the hype and tempo of the game.You're right Cogger took the burden off Cleary to play his natural ball running game which resulted in their win

I think this one was a bit better. Penrith's level in the last 20 minutes here was something truly special.
Both teams did a fantastic job, but that comeback was just super special!
Broncos had celebrated early in the 56th minute with 24-8 thinking that they will win and forgot about the defence..what a come back by Panthers through Grandfinal Immortality Nathan Cleary....The True play maker..

Broncos played extremely well.. the way I see it they depend so much on individual brilliance performance like Ezra Mam the Prophet and Welsh and Haas .. but for Penrith they play together as a team and that what makes and bring Panthers Glory.. Walters believes next.. Year is a different thing. Now is what matters..

Broncos played tremendous well .. the nation of the Greater West and Blue Mt as well as the nation of Penrith were stunned like mullets ready to be eaten raw.. the trophy was dangling right in front of Bronco’s eyes.. Nathan Cleary must saying in his heart “ what’s happening to us Lord ✝️🕊️ … you hang on there son .. you ain’t see nothing yet.. Wow ! One of the greatest miracles as far as sports concerned.. to come back from 8 points to 24 1and took the match away.. trophy and all .. and if that is not a miracle then what is it … ???

Watching this game live you can see why these two teams where in the finals it came down to discipline that is why the broncos lost i am not going to complain about some of the calls that where so wrong but i do hope this broncos team builds and builds and become something great i am proud of this team from last place 3 years ago to just losing bye 2 points in a grand final that say Penrith panthers are the best team in the league and only losing bye 2 points i am proud to be a broncos supporter for life well done to Penrith panthers for winning 3 in a row

Everyone saying broncos got too cocky… they really didnt, well sorta. After scoring 3 try’s of the bat, they switched to a defensive style of play. Now this broncos team is known for its attack, and tbh, they really should’ve at least attempted to put more points on them, and continue playing their attacking style of footy. I mean really, they had it in the bag, whatever Kevi told them at the half, it worked. But no, after scoring 3 in a row, they decided to back off. What did they expect, its Penrith. I’m sure these broncos boys have a bright future ahead of them, they’ll win the comp within the next 3 years with out a doubt.
They had almost no football in the last 20 to play any attacking footy.

Nuts thing about this Penrith team is they could win another premiership in the next two years easily… Next year I reckon someone will step up and stop them but 2025-2026 no doubt they will win one even two of those years. Clearly just electrifies young players in that club and brings the best out of them

This was the perfect get back for origin.
- Walsh vs Luai, Luai gets the last laugh.
- Walsh laughing and pointing at the scoreboard in origin. Walsh throws the intercept and seals the win for the Panthers followed up with Fisher-Harris and Crichton absolutely giving it to him.
- Pat Carrigan is the new third man Thaiday (especially in origin) so it was great to see him run in and get humbled by Fisher-Harris.

Yes like 2015, the Broncos were on featured also but on the unfortunately on the receiving hand. They made the same mistake. Thought they could defend to victory but couldn't.
