I ordered the metacycle in December. The website said 100 deposit but they billed my card $5000. I cancelled my order and I have been trying to get my money back ever since. Today they sent me an email asking if I would like to reinstate my order. I guess they think I might rather have the bike than nothing. They are wrong. I know how they treat customers if something fails guaranteed you are left in the cold. These people do not care about their customers at all. I'll sue to get my money back. Better than trying to sue if I get a lemon. Just telling you about my experience with Sondors you may want to go another route.

Thanks for sharing. Your experience counts and Sondors, and their customers, should hear about it.

The CR6 doesn’t have 5 speed manual transmission, only has a 50 mile range & has a 0-38mph in less than 6 seconds..the CR6 Pro has the 5 speed gearbox, 80-90 mile range & faster acceleration

Thank you for the feedback. I really appreciate the catch on the CR6 vs CR6 Pro. I'll review this and implement what I can.

Watch out for Sondors. They ripped me off. If I ever get my money back I like some of the retro looking bike I've seen. I will be much more careful in my next purchase. Do the same so you are not up late at night fretting over it!

@@johnw65 - I’m still looking mate..I really do like the look & idea behind the Sondors tbh & i’m hoping that somebody finds a way to sensibly modify it. I’ve been looking at the Horwin CR6 but I’m holding back because I’ve got a feeling that we are going to see some big improvements in battery technology in the near future. I quite like the Tarform Luna but it’s a bit too pricey & the DAB Concept looks great but they’re harder to pick up than the metacycle it seems

@@Electric-Rideables the best thing is to speak about what you know and have experienced yoursel don't you think ?
A battery has a nominal voltage (like in your mains at home) , for example 140 V, and then the battery has an amp capacity expressed in Amp per hour , for example 50 Amp/h .. it means that the battery can deliver 50 amps at 140 V , then you multiply 140v x 50 amp/h and it gives you 7000 Watts/hours (Watts means Work).
it means that the battery can supply the motor with 7000 W during one hour and there you find the famous capacity unit : W/h , you can say that your battery pack has a capacity of 7000 W/h (7 kw/h)
usually electric motorbikes on a highway at say 90 km/h have a consumption of 7000 w , it means that you could ride one hour (7000w/h) and then travel on 90 km/h
then the W/hs are like volume of your gasoline in your petrol fuel tank motorbike.
if you motorbike has a 6 litres fuel tank , if she drinks 6 litres per 100/km it would mean that you could travel 100 km before you run out of fuel.
of course the makers try to loose people in all those units the hide the ridiculous range of ev's compared to internal combustion engine vehicles.... and it becomes even more impossible to understand when people are trying to inform other people on subjects they don't master and on which they have no experience and no other knowledge then what the read on the internet....
the sad reality of ev's bike is that they only can have a descent range when used at slow speeds (say btw 50 and 80 km/h)
an electric motorbike used like a normal motorbike (say at 130 km/h on a motorway in france) would not make more then 100 km before having to be charged ..(just have a look at the zero motorbikes charts ... it speaks for itself).
all of this makes travelling absolutely impossible, except at low speed .
on my own experience I can tell you that with a 8 KW/h BMW scooter, I can't ride more then 70 km/h on the motorway at max 90km/h
Electric motorbikes are ok for commuters who ride at low speed or can recharge at work during the day ..
plus the EV's are really expensive when you have to repair them, I had my controller changes after the end of the warranty and BMW invoiced me : 3700 euros .. more then the value of the bike ...
they don't communicate about the price of the battery back, but I am sure that the price would be enormous ..
for example I have asked my Zero dealer the price of the pack , and he replied me 8000 euros , but what you have to know is that if you buy a zero, you absolutely can't be sure then in 6 or 8 years the batt pack will still be available ... zero itself is not sure then the battery cells will be available in 8 years...
makers has no obligations of securing their clients with spare parts in the future.
so EV's have a short life expectancy compared with normal vehicles.
By no way EV's are a solution to save money or to protect the planet if you can't repair them after the warranty time.. you never really own them in fact because you absolutely can't be sure then you'll have spares in the future.. and in case you have spares they will be so expensive that you will not have it repaired ...
so all the fantastic videos speaking about free maintenance, or low cost maintenance are not realistic ...search the net you will find testimonials of EV owners who have been notified by the maker that it was ending the support of their 2013 motorbike !
So what it is important is to make people REFUSE to buy EV's until the makers commit themselves to supply the parts for a descent price during at least 10 years ..
they want to make us pay for their transition ... resistance !
