    If the Denzel could hit speeds of 60-65mph and give those ranges, I would buy one right now. The only issue I have is that its just under the speeds I would be comfortable with for commuting around.

    • @Electric-Rideables

      @@Electric-Rideables indeed. I live about 10 minutes from a major city and something like the Denzel would be perfect. The roads around me are 45-55mph speed limits but I would still like the 60-65 just in case I have to exit jump on the highway. Electric bike tech is growing and I am really excited to see what the future holds

      Did the Denzel happen? I first heard about it a few years ago and they were supposed to have dealers in the states but I’ve heard nothing since then.

    • @patricknapier5806
      @patricknapier5806 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Since the Denzel uses a chain drive you can swap one or likely both gears, the motor drive gear and the wheel itself. Just drop the number of teeth on the wheels gear to increase the speed. However it will reduce the level of torque able to be put down as a result. So if you want you can go faster(to an extent) but will be slower to get to the new top end speeds.

  • @utilityaccount8514
    @utilityaccount8514 2 ปีที่แล้ว +10

    The Denzel would probably be the best choice if you can buy it without battery and build your own. Adding some supercapacitors to actually benefit from regen and higher amperage cells could really make that bike sing!

    There is one very simple feature that all of these manufacturers need to start considering.
    A optional charging station that allows you to simply ride the bike into it as easily as you would a bicycle into a bike rack. Or even a center stand type of system where you can easily push the center Stand Down and engage the charger and turn the bike 180° around for a quick exit of your garage or shed.
    The reason is: whether it's the grunt or a cafe style or a Enduro style bike, the main selling point in convenience of these bikes is to be able to quickly jump on and go for a quick run to the store or commute to work etc.
    It will never convince motorcycle enthusiasts that it will replace a good petroleum motorcycle.
    It is very attractive for a bike that is always ready to quickly jump on and make a quick run here or there.
    It simply cannot compete with gasoline Motors currently.
    But to Market it as extremely easy and convenient and ready at all times would be a huge selling point in my opinion.

    These look cool but they're overpriced. For the speed and range it's not worth it. I got my first e-bike, a foldable one and I like it a lot. Gets 40 miles in lvl 1 which I never use and about 23-25 miles on max throttle, goes about 25-28 mph. I use it to go to work and also take it to the beach. I got foldable one because I can fit 2 in my Lexus sedan and take them to the beach. E-bikes are great because you can use the streets or sidewalks, gives you options. These e-motorcycles don't give you the mobility of an e-bike, but they also don't give you the speed or range of a motorcycle. Seems like cool toys for people with money to burn.. The things I would love to improve are Range (I bought a 2nd battery) and power, better acceleration. For the $1,400+$500 for 2nd battery I paid I can't complain. Just using it for work commute, it will pay itself off in 8 months. This was my first e-bike but I already know it won't be my last.

    The UBCO 2x2 bike is cool it has front and rear wheel drive. But, it isn't worth the extra drive since the price reflects that. And, it wasn't mentioned but the only max out at 50kph (31mph). Other thing too is they take four plus hours to full charge back up.
    On top of all of that, I've seen them being built and I'd stay the hell away from them. Especially if they are being assembled in the USA. They don't build them to spec. They charge up faulty batteries that have a bad cell in that 14s8p configuration and call it good after charging the bad bank of cells which you can't fix. And, their torque specifications they don't follow nor do they bother to check the torques at all during their final QC process nor do they do a proper road test before being shipped out. They've been sending bikes out like this for the past two and a half years where there are defects that get passed through like there is nothing wrong.
    Interesting bikes, but very questionable on their business practices and trustworthiness for following assembly and testing procedures.
    I'd honestly look at any of the other bikes on this list before even recommending or mentioning an UBCO if at all.

    For that kind of money you can buy a nice motorcycle and ride all day, in comfort, on a tank of gas. Gotta get those ranges per charge much higher and top speeds higher. Most of us looking at these, I would bet, are in the country, not the city. A year ago, I was driving 40 miles one way, on the highway to work... 70 mph most of the way. These bikes wouldn't cut it and there's much better options for toys than these as well.
