Just watched this reaction... Seen the films plenty times but never picked up on the 'Black jacket and green jacket' thing. Always finding out little facts about these films even now.
I am a little surprised, i must admit, that all 4 of you liked this one. Pretty much everyone i talk to about this franchise doesn't like the sequels. I personally don't like Ressurrections, but other than that, I love the trilogy. Many say Matrix could or should have stopped after the first one, but I don't see it that way. For me, these 3 films are one film that was cut into 3 parts, like Lord of the Rings. That's why I'm glad that you like this film and I'm very curious to hear what you think about the third one. Great review guys, so well structured and super entertaining. I love Reloaded - years after the event I think many people now realise that it's VERY underrated as a brilliant bit of filmmaking. Btw, subscribed! 👍
Neo is an instability in the coding of the Matrix software. The choice of his predecessors to choose Zion over Trinity is the equivalent of a computer doing a factory reset.
Also, Neo choosing to save Trinity means the anomaly got worse. One person guessed that Neo in real life gained a version of wireless internet, being able to connect to the machines in real life.
Im always how people can see the connections between the matux and computer tech but not the connections to Christianity and the story of jesus. The even use the exact same names as in the Bible. That's the genius of the matrix. It works on so many labels
Well because… the matrix is literally set inside of a computer. All the Jesus imagery is subtext while technology is the plot of the movie. And btw this imagery isn’t as lost as you think, there’s also heavy Buddhist principles in the franchise.
The kid in the movie y'all called a fanboy of neo was in the Animatrix show it was made before the next 2 matrix movies
